Stumbling upon a 3.5-star rating for Dr. Law’s clinic recently, got me reflecting. My family’s journey with Dr. Law has always been positive. The rating doesn’t resonate with my experience, hinting at the broader challenges lurking in the healthcare landscape. As someone who's navigated the medical world both as a patient and a business advisor, having worked with several doctors' offices over the years, I find there’s more to this narrative.

The healthcare journey isn’t a linear one. It's knotted with systemic issues like insurance intricacies, a mountain of paperwork, and the looming presence of pharmaceutical giants. These hurdles could eclipse the essence of healthcare: the doctor-patient interaction.

Now, here’s a nugget to mull over: every individual is a unique biological composition. Hence, what works as a remedy for one, may falter for another. And when the desired outcomes elude, frustration creeps in, often stirring a rough tide between the doctor and the patient.

When treatments don’t hit the mark right away, a rift could surface. The absence of immediate results might brew assumptions about a doctor’s competence, triggering a cycle of negative reviews and doctor-hopping. A pattern I’ve observed is that individuals, entangled in such a cycle, seldom find satisfaction. Their pursuit often morphs into a revolving door of unmet expectations, chiefly because a true understanding and communication haven’t found a place in the doctor-patient equation.

Now, flipping the coin, when we stride into a doctor’s office, are we resetting our expectations, readying for an open dialogue? It’s akin to the reset a doctor does before stepping into each examination room, trying to understand and empathize with the patient’s ordeal. This mutual reset, a canvas of respect, understanding, and communication, is where the remedy to most doctor-patient relationship woes lie.

In the instances where the initial treatment plans don’t yield the desired fruit, I'd implore you to reach out to your doctor, devoid of accusations, but armed with a quest to understand the 'why' behind the treatment, and what the subsequent steps could be. It’s through this lens of understanding and effective communication that we can truly assess whether a physician aligns with our expectations and needs.

My advice to readers stems from an array of lenses - as a patient, as someone who’s been behind the scenes working with doctors on the business front, and as a skeptic who often questions the heavy influence of pharmaceutical companies in healthcare.

Looping back to Dr. Law, the rapport we’ve built over the years stems from mutual respect and a shared goal of understanding and addressing health concerns. My standpoint is shaped not just by Dr. Law’s expertise, but also by my proactive approach in maintaining an open, respectful, and inquisitive stance towards the healthcare journey. In my opinion, Dr. Law navigates the convoluted healthcare terrain exceptionally well, making him a reliable choice for my family’s healthcare needs. The 3.5 star rating certainly doesn’t mirror the level of care and understanding we’ve received. So, the next time you're caught in the crosshairs of healthcare hurdles, maybe a shift in perspective, a dash of understanding, and a pinch of good communication could lead the way to better healthcare experiences.

Absolutely life changing. His staff is amazing and friendly. He genuinely cares about his patients and staff. I had some issues come up last year and stopped going, however they got my scheduled in and back on my medicine. It has made such a huge difference in my life words can not express my gratitude. They have always worked around my crazy schedule. Definitely the best Dr / nurses/ front desk staff out there.

Dr.Law is fantastic. He’s very understanding and he listens. Patients are never waiting long in the waiting room. His staff is amazing. My children and I love him and the staff. I'm going to make an appointment so my husband can be seen here as well. BEST DOCTOR AND STAFF EVER!!

Dr. Laws and his staff are on point! Never really have to wait, they are pretty spontaneous to return your call if you have a concern. The office is very friendly, which makes me feel comfortable and welcome at all times. My journey with Dr. Laws has been great and very informative. His passion to educate his patients is amazing compared to other specialists that tell you all of these big words and diagnosis with no education how to treat or make symptoms better! This is not the case with Dr. Laws, I have been offered videos, links, print outs and given a number to call for any questions, pretty amazing knowing you leave the office knowing that you are doing better each visit and not having a new issue to add to the pile of things we all experience with aging. I have been a patient here for a few short months and I cannot tell you how much my life has changed due to the care of the doctors and staff here.

The doctor has been very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose a condition that had been missed since childhood and after being tested and treated for at my life has changed dramatically for the better when I came to the clinic I was on the verge of losing my job due to difficulties I connected with 80 HD my wife at home is easier in my life at work is easier I am no longer on the verge of losing my job and it’s just been a complete turnaround since I’ve come here.

I googled Dr Laws to make sure I knew what time I should leave to get to my appointment on time. I drive a little over an hour from North Richland Hills to Ennis to consult with him. He has been my doctor for about 3 years now. I was shocked when I saw the two less than favorable reviews attached to him and his office. My experience has been nothing but great. I never wait in the waiting room as if my appointment time was merely a suggestion. I always get right in. His care for my well-being has been really the greatest of any doctor I've seen in my whole life. I'm 52 now. I started with him primarily for depression and ADHD. He literally was used to save my life. That's why an hour drive is no nuisance at all for me. He has also taken the role as my primary care physician now. He is the first doctor that has taken the time to really talk to me about things like my high blood pressure and cholesterol. He takes the time to teach me ways to manage them outside of just taking pills. He never seems in a hurry or cuts me off when we talk. I could go on and on with good aspects about him...and his staff. Suffice it to say that I nothing less than wholeheartedly recommend Dr Laws as a family physician or in the specialty of treating depression and/or ADHD. I count him as one of my heroes.

Love my PCP! Dr. Laws is very knowledgable and attentive to my needs. I highly recommend him and love his staff as well. I especially like that they don't over schedule his day so there is not a big delay in calling you in to be seen. Good job guys keep it up.

Dr. Laws is a great doc took the time needed to get my daughters the treatment that they needed. Is always really easy to get in after your 1st appointment. He is my whole familys doctor, you have a choose weather you want to see him or is nurse practitioner.

My son has been with Dr. Laws for 3years now. We travel to Ennis now to see him. He has helped my son tremendously with his ADHD. And also does virtual checks up once a month so that we don’t always have to travel. I highly recommend him. Especially coming from a mother whom was afraid to medicated their child. The treatment has made the best improvement in my son and he enjoys seeing his doctor.

Dr. Laws is my family’s PCP. He is very understanding and has to be one of the nicest and generally caring people that I’ve ever met. Not just as being a doctor, but just in general. His staff is just as caring as he is. Best doctor I’ve ever had!!!!

I've gone to Dr laws since I was in high school. Guy takes his time with each patient and genuinely cares about your health. Thank you for helping me get back on my meds and getting my life back together.
