My husband and I had dinner with another couple on Saturday night. We walked in at 6pm, and they were able to seat us right away, although they were already starting to get busy.

Our server, Brian, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the menu, told us about the specials of the day, and provided exceptional service throughout the meal.

We ordered oysters, which were fresh and perfectly chilled. Two of us ordered the Snapper Pontchartrain (delicious!), one ordered the Crab crusted fish of the day (very good), and one ordered the fried seafood combo plate (lightly fried to perfection).

We all said we would like to come back here when we’re next in town. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and a truly enjoyable dinner.

Went with friends visiting from Missouri while out exploring. It was not very busy, the weather was beautiful and we sat outside. The menu had some awesome looking offerings but we were not looking for a large meal. 3 of us had the Lobster Bisque and the other had the Truffle fries! The Bisque was fabulous! The fries were very good too but the soup was amazing!

Our server was attentive and funny while being very professional. I wish I could remember her name to give her props because she was great!

As a Winter Texan, we will be leaving soon but hope to get back to Tortuga’s before we leave to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend!

Just got into Port A last night and was driving down the road looking for a place to get dinner. We saw a full parking lot and took that as a good sign. We didn't have a reservation but we're able to get a table anyway. Emily F. was our server. She was great! Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. She literally ran us down in the parking lot after we left because my husband forgot his credit card at the table. We both got the Pasta Acadiana. Mine with shrimp and my husband's with chicken. They were both tasty and plentiful. We took home our leftovers and had them for lunch today and it was still excellent!
Thank you Emily for providing excellent service. I'm sure that we will dine there again before we leave the island.

This place has such great food we came here 2 evenings in a row during our 3 days stay in Port Aransas. Surf and Turf 100% up to expectations as was the catch of the day before. Lovely atmosphere and vibe. Loved it and highly recommended.

The service and food were both excellent! We had the raw oysters to start with and they were served with a variety of toppings. For the meals we had shrimp and grits and the seafood trio. Everything was great but the shrimp and grits were the winner of the day!
Thank you Tortugas, we will be back!!

This is a restaurant so the rooms portion of this is not applicable. What we liked: the location was convenient after spending the afternoon at the beach. We were there late afternoon so it wasn’t that busy, it was quiet and we received great service while dining at the bar. The bathrooms are very clean and the location was well marked. We had a tuna tartare appetizer which was excellent, the southwest salad was good but not great, the yellow curry shrimp was outstanding, the shrimp weren’t over cooked which is rare. There’s limited parking. It is pricey but probably normal for the area. Also notable were the napkins which were high quality, this is a nice touch when a restaurant is attempting to distinguish itself from others. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks was $150.

Visited on our way out of Port Aransas. What a treat! The appetizers were to DIE for. Their Remulaud sauce was killer, and we would definitely come back. Great selection of specialty bourbons too.

The pet friendly patio, and killer service make this a must stop if you don’t mind splurging a bit (on price) in Port A.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great location! I've wanted to come here for a while but it can get busy during peak beach season so it never worked out until now. It's worth the wait! I had the poke bowl.

Tortuga’s is one of those places where you just feel like you’re in paradise! Not only is the food AMAZING, but the people here are amazing too! My mom and sister are visiting me in town and so we went to Tortuga’s and it was perfect, and Pete was especially awesome and helped us a lot with painting the perfect picture of the dishes on the menu. Tortuga’s is THE place to go, especially when you are wanting the best of Port A

This is a restaurant, but Goole is asking me about their rooms for some reason.

Anyway, Brian/Bryan was our AMAZING waiter! I got Charbroiled Fish of the day for something simple and it was wonderful and light! But...my friend got the crab crusted fish, it was one of the best meals EVER!

We will definitely be back!

Great food. Really great. We decided to sit at the bar until our table was ready. Our bartender was terrific. It was like we've know him for years.
Big fun

Not sure why Google is asking me about rooms, but the ambiance in the restaurant and outside was fantastic.

We looked at a lot of menus, reviews, and recommendations for a fun girls' night out dinner that we could get dressed up. We are not drinkers so didn't need a bar feel.

For starters, we ordered the truffle fries (3/5 because they needed more of all the toppings and were a little expensive, but were great and there were a lot) and the clams (5/5 - I did not order the cajun butter, but got the beurre blanc sauce instead). For entree, we got the seafood pasta (5/5 the scallops were amazing and even though there were only 2, they were huge) and the pesto pasta with chicken (4/5 because it needed more parmesan, which the staff brought). For dessert, we got the tortuga cake (4/5 because it had a lot of sauce, but cinnamon and nuts were delicious. Couldn't really taste the date butter), creme brulee cheesecake (5/5 because it was so light, airy, smooth and the homemade whipped cream was amazing), and the chocolate lava cake (5/5).

When we arrived, we stood at the host desk and they ignored us for a few minutes as if we weren't even there. It was very odd to not even say hello.

We chose to sit outside in 60 degree weather with the heaters on and it was so delightful.

The best part of our night was our waitress, Emily F. She was so friendly and personable. She took time to be with us, answer questions, make recommendations, and was very attentive throughout the meal.

We highly recommend!

Torturga’s is outstanding! I had their charbroiled special fish of the night with asparagus. Flavorful and broiled to perfection it was! Our server was attentive and helpful (Emily?) We’ll be back! Thank y’all!

We picked this restaurant for a special dinner. Went on Wine Wednesday for half off bottles of wine. Friendly staff. Had the crab cake appetizer; almost as good as a Maryland crab cake! Ordered fish of the day dinner and red snapper. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Wonderful chocolate lava cake dessert. Food is pricey but that’s everywhere. Pay cash and avoid the 2.5% credit card fee. Very pleased, will return.

Extremely busy restaurant on a Saturday night so we sat at the bar. Chelsea ordered a Mermaid Water signature drink but I chose to abstain since I had a couple before and I was driving.

We ordered the Crab Cake for an appetizer which was shareable and well prepared plus a side salad. We decided to share an entree as well and ordered the Snapper Ponchatrain. It was a large portion of snapper topped with a Creole Crawfish Sauce. This dish was excellent.

I almost forgot to take photos...the Snapper picture was taken after sharing.

Tortuga's is a little pricey but well worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Probably the best food I've had on the island. They also have a great whiskey selection. More of an upscale/romantic vibe than most beach restaurants. Will absolutely go back again!

The food here is always tasty and prepared excellent. The fish is great, filet is cooked perfect, the pasta has the right flavor. Good bourbon selection and the beer on tap always cold!

11/15/23 Had dinner with my beautiful wife - our first time in Port A. Not disappointed- the pasta dish was amazing with every ingredient perfectly cooked - the crumbled smoked bacon, the veggies and the sauce - all awesome. I had a seafood plate with fried oysters, fried shrimp and fried local white fish. Amazing - We shared Key Lime pie … as good, maybe better than Key west. Our server was also perfect. Great job by the entire team!
