Zapata's Mexican Restaurant

Ok... 4 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. The food almost 5 stars. But, the price! You would be hard pressed to find this quality food at these prices anywhere else in Taylor. I recommend the Al Pastor tacos. Make sure to try their habanero salsa if your stomach can handle it, very flavorful! The fajita tacos are tasty and inexpensive. Most of the stuff on the menu is great, a few of the items are bland. Their chorizo is a bit bland.

I travel a lot and while in Taylor I stopped here for breakfast tacos. Nice little (but had plenty of seating) place with friendly people and goooooood food. Super happy I stumbled across this place. They don’t have a big sign out front but I guess if the place is nice and the food is good then word gets around.

Been coming here since it opened, food is always good. Menudo is top quality. Breakfast is excellent, al pastor tacos are very good and the serve homemade tortillas. It gets busy on the weekends so get in early or expect a crowd.

I review when it’s needed. I’m still eating my taco as I type, go here. Tortillas are chefs kiss. Top notch breakfast taco, I got potatoes egg and cheese, I can only imagine the rest slaps too. Thank for feeding me Taylor, Texas!

My second time going here and I am still loving it. The chips and salsa are so good! The menudo is also good and for me to say that it means it's good. I am picky when it comes to menudo.

Good, authentic Tex Mex in Taylor. It's not fancy, and can be easy to miss with its unassuming exterior, but the food has been hot and delicious on my multiple visits there.

We were visiting family in Taylor and my cousin told us about this fabulous restaurant. Oh, can I tell you this was sooo fresh and so authentic I felt right at home. The service was amazing as well.
The tortillas was to die for! We will definitely be back.

This place is good home cookin Mexican food. Reminds me of back home when I was a kid and you’d go out to eat after church with the family. Small town atmosphere and the smell of coffee is in the air.
And now that I live here in the Round Rock/Hutto area, I can now get GOOD MENUDO here. It’s so hard to find good (and CLEAN) menudo here in the Austin Metro, I’m so happy that I found this place!

Zapata's is delicious! I have been eating breakfast here for over 20 years and the food has remained consistent. You gotta have the crispy Migas Taco with Pico de Gallo. Today I had Menudo to go and it was great! It had the correct ratio of meat, hominy and broth. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

The breakfast tacos were awesome. Really like the variety of options you have to put in your taco.

Zapata is a very good and nice place to eat Breakfast. This is a very reasonable place to eat and cozy. It's very casual and comfortable. We enjoyed it. 👍😁😉👍
