Ms. Pearl the Giant Squirrel Statue

Love coming here when we are around this area. It’s nice and the store they have samples of different pecans it’s almost your average gift shop but the things are insanely priced. I personally like to come here to mark and anniversary and I like coming to just see something really nice. The staff is always nice and understanding of all their customers.

Ms. Pearl is not camera shy at all. In fact she is super photogenic and eagerly awaits travelers. She is the mascot and greeter, that's a full time gig. 24 hours a day she ready for a picture at night she is full lit and at her post.

I have driven by this place many times but never stopped. Today I decided to stop for some peaches and I’m glad we did. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (which was appreciated, as I had my toddler with me). The peaches are amazing and they have fabulous roasted pecans too. They also other honey sticks, candy and other cute gifts and souvenirs. Oh! And they have a very clean restroom. Of course I had to let my child visit with the big squirrel and take some souvenir photos to commemorate the even. I will definitely be stopping by here again when I’m in the area.

Cute little shop. If you like squirrels and homemade fudge one stop shop. Ms. Pearl was adorable. We bought some pecan cheesecake fudge and a cute flask. Cute t-shirts and knick knacks galore.

Only in Texas will you find the world's largest squirrel statue next to the only 24/7 pecan pie vending machine.

This place has a nice selection of Texas memorabilia and a wide variety of pecan treats. I really enjoy the pecan trail mix, it has 4 different flavors of pecans. They also have lots of flavored jams. The employees are very friendly and always ready to assist you.

This giant squirrel is part of Berdoll Pecan Company. Come take a picture with Ms. Pearl. There is a sign which says if you e mail your photo with Ms. Pearl to them, they will post it to their Facebook page.

Finally was able to stop in on our wayback to Austin. Great merchandise and great pecan products! Staff was very nice.

I finally got to see Ms. Pearl! It was fabulous. It's very close to the highway, but ignoring that, I loved it. The pecan pie, wow, just wow. Normally I don't like the gooey stuff, but theirs is more caramel and fully loaded with pecans. Definitely get one!

This is, indeed, the largest squirrel statue I've encountered to date. That doesn't mean that my quest for large squirrels ends here! Certainly there must be another, even larger, squirrel that I have just to discover. And when I do, you can bet that Google Maps will the the first to know about it!

You want pecans and anything that's has to do with pecans. Then this is the place to go to, a small country store with great hospitality. Lots of little things to buy as gifts to someone or for your self. Worth the drive.

It's big. It's a squirrel..and you may have to wait your turn for a photo op (not long). Go ahead and stop, get your picture, then head inside to shop for pecan treats!

This place is so great! They even have sugar free cinnamon covered pecan. So me and my wife both a couple of bags. We will be back very soon before the holidays so we can stock up. Keep up the great work guys!!

Best pecan pie ever!! Need to go back before I leave Austin. A neat store with cute Knick knacks. A little pricey, but what gift shop isn’t. A must stop, if your in bastrop and take a pic with the giant squirrel “ Ms. Pearl”. Nice friendly staff.
