Dr Medi has been my mental health provider for over 24 years. He listens and has coached me through different struggles throughout my journey. If you are proactive iincooperating the lifestyle changes he recommends, you will receive optimal benefits.

I saw Dr. Medi for the first time today. I was very pleased with my experience. He was personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He takes the time to understand your struggles and gives sound advice on how to work on those struggles. He was direct, to the point, and very helpful. He does not push meds to solve the problem. He prescribes what he will help you while you do the work helping yourself. I believe he is a great doctor and I’m very glad I found him. Excited to go back and talk to him about the progress I hope to have made. 10/10!

If you are looking for a quick fix or a therapist, you will not find that here. I have been a patient of Dr. Medi's off and on for 22 years. I have learned and seen what listening to him and putting his advice into practice does. As patients, we must put in the work on our end. There is no miracle pill that ANYONE can prescribe that will "make it better" or "fix it." Let's be honest with ourselves...that is what would be preferable, but it's NOT realistic.

I'll admit, I've been on the side of those that feel insulted by statements he's made. I've been frustrated and angry when I've been crying my heart out and he didn't say what I WANTED him to say. Again, it's been over twenty years and I still choose to come to him, regardless of those things. And, I gave him a five star rating...why, you may wonder. I've experienced the positive changes and maintenance that occurs when I do as he prescribes and take his advise regarding my mental and emotional health.

Dr. Medi speaks, in my opinion, from a scientific and fact-based point of view. Do I always agree with him, absolutely not. But guess what, I don't have to agree with his point of view. Dr. Medi treats us according to what he sees and hears from us. I believe it's important to remember and truly believe that OUR feelings lie to us. He specializes and has been practicing psychiatry for a long time and is able to see past our feelings and see the issue.

And, as far as the staff is concerned, they have always been great to me. Has someone failed to call me back or call in a refill? Yes. Was I frustrated and/or inconvenienced? Yes. Have or do they remedied the issue? YES. They are human. They will make mistakes, just like you and me do. How about giving them some grace? I want to be given grace, because I am DEFINITELY not perfect and have made mistakes. I've waited too long or overlooked calling about an appointment or refill and wound up having to wait or go longer than I wanted to get my medicine or office visit. The people that are working for/with Dr. Medi are NOT our enemies. They are there, working and when they do not do what we want, when we want it we get angry and take it out on them. I would hate for someone to do that to me.

Okay, I guess that's it. I, honestly, have a lot more I can say and if you have read up to this point, I hope what I have written has shed some light on my experiences with Dr. Medi and his staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Medi for 4 years and he has been an excellent Psychiatrist on every level. He is professional, competent, and has always had my well-being in focus during my appointments. He has shown the same professionalism and concern for another family member of mine so I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Medi and his staff. I have lived in many different cities and seen several Psychiatrists so I know the care I receive at this office is top notch.

I think that he rubs people the wrong way because he expects effort on the part of the patient and he has a low tolerance for people who cant straighten themselves out while they receive psychiatric treatment. Mental health is far more complex than a brain disorder because it leads people into all sorts of negative habits and patterns.

If you are looking for a therapist, he isn't that but he cares about patients and will recommend what you should do outside of his office. Don't take what he says as criticism because it is his way of trying to open your eyes to some of the roots of your problems. I know this first hand.

I started seeing him around 3 years ago and I have accomplished many of the goals I have set for myself with his help. If you are candid with him and you show up to appointments, it will go smoothly.

Dr. Medi has treated me and my children for many years. He is a very straight forward and caring provider. He does not sugar coat what he feels will help improve my symptoms and I feel his approach has helped me in many ways. I have recommended him to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so!

I’ve seen Dr. Medi monthly for about four years now.

He takes a broad approach to checking in on my ADD which feels appropriate to the disorder. Wejust chat about whatever’s going on in the world. I think he’s perfectly consistent - we’ve only tweeted the cocktail twice now - and I truly love the guy.

I wasn't able to stay with him long, but the times I did see him were good. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, and they all treated me with respect. The only complaint I can give personally is that they are very strict about insurance and they don't accept hmo at all as far as they led me to believe.

I saw Dr Medí for over 4 years, and he along with another doctor helped me with my PTSD, marriage and life. I am very grateful for his help and I was able to transition to VA healthcare because I knew I was ready.

I am a young single white female mother who has been suffering from bi-polar disorder/ anxiety disorder / agoraphobia / insomnia/ and extreme mania and extreme downs.
I have no medical insurance and always paid on time of service (given I live in Midland, do not have a car, but find a way to make it to my appointment's in Odessa with maybe one or two reschedules due to my heavy work load and raising a 2 year old little girl.
Last time I spoke to Dr. Ravi Medi, he said he did not like treating individuals with the bi-polar disorder. The natural behaviors are unpredictable and all over the gird..(that's what I thought I was paying him for to begin with.)
And if I missed one apt he would no longer act as my primary care provider. That he advised I seek care elsewhere.

So hear I sit without the medications Dr. Ravi Medi has been telling me all along I HAVE TO TAKE....
manic, depressed...jeopardizing my livelihood because he doesn't like to treat bi polars??
Isn't that his job?? Y didn't he tell me that from the start?

any responses please?
