Riverside Diner

We went there this morning, and believe me when I say the food is amazing. My picture does not do this food justice. Wow!! The service was wonderful as well, but the food can not be beat. I had the chicken florentine skillet, and it was so flavorful. My husband had the country fried steak breakfast, and he said it was the best he has ever had. We will definitely be back. What a great place! Go check them out. You will be happy you did.

It's a nice little breakfast spot with charm. The server was very nice. I loved the food and service. I had the 2 eggs 2 pancakes 2 bacon 2 sausage and biscuits and gravy 😋. Next time I'm going to get some carrot cake. I was to full from all the great food today. Thank you for the great service and food.

Top notch food and service. We typically get it to go because it can get full and a little loud quickly. Love sitting on the picnic tables during warmer months. Almost always go with the specials.... generous portions and packed with home cooked flavor. Mammoth size carrot cake pictured.

This was our first time at Riverside Diner and I'm glad we tried somewhere new for breakfast.

Its a nice small place nestled in an Industrial area with good character. Homey inside with friendly good service. Food was flavorful and presentation was on point.

We tried the Veggie Omelet and the (BBB) Big Biscuit Breakfast. The Veggie Omelet was light & airy just as requested. Added jalapeños for a nice kick! Seasoned potatoes had a nice little crunch to them. Side order of crispy bacon was just that "Crispy" Mmm! The BBB had great flavor with a open face biscuit with sausage patties, eggs (to your liking) and smothered in sausage gravy. The sausage gravy had a great consistency with just enough black pepper to give it some spice.

I thought about trying the pancakes but didn't. Then I saw a plate of them go pass our table and Holy Schnikey did they look good. (Next Time)

Breakfast "All Day" & Lunch starts at "10:30". We will definitely be back again.

Great place to grab a meal. The pork tenderloin sandwich is massive and delicious. The eggs 🥚 and bacon 🥓 was fantastic too.

Solid south side breakfast diner. Off the beaten path….if you know (you know). The service is prompt & pleasant. Plenty enough seating and the place is clean.

I usually order takeaway breakfast. The coffee is good & hot, veggie egg white omelette with spinach added does the job. Pancake was a bit doughy for my taste but fluffy.

The biscuits & gravy was a win for my dining companion.

It's a great place to go and have breakfast. The place is small and always packed. Even when they are busy, the wait hasn't been more than 20 minutes. The food is always good and it's very affordable. I have yet to be disappointed.

Visiting from Springfield MO and wanted to try some local fare. This place is a gem the locals should be proud of! Great food, great service! All the way around enjoyed the experience! If you want really good local flavor and not cookie cutter restaurants this is the place! Thanks so much! A highlight of our trip!

I visited this place after reading the reviews and this place is a hidden jewel. The service was outstanding, we were greeted and seated right away with friendly smiles. It has a homey atmosphere, even the patrons were friendly. I had the pork chops and potatoes. The seasoning on the potatoes was very flavorful and the pork chops were moist and delicious. There was three of us in my party and we all came away truly satisfied. Definitely coming back!

Great little diner in the middle of a commercial area. Great food.

Have a great pork chop breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are excellent here as well. My wife loves the pancakes

MJ and I went there for a Sunday Brunch. We were not disappointed. It is an out of the way spot but it was packed. We had to wait maybe 30 minutes. The reason was the food. Simply it was delicious. We both had pork chops, eggs, and biscuits. The server also gave us a small sample of hash browns. That was quite tasty, as was the whole brunch.

A telling sign was that as we were eating, at least two people came back the area near the kitchen to tell the staff that they enjoyed their meal. The food was good and the service was first rate. The price of the meal was quite reasonable. We might go back again in the near future.

Went first thing in the morning to get breakfast as the place is small and wanted to beat the rush. At opening there were already about a dozen of regulars waiting for the doors to open. The staff knew them by name and knew about their families, personal interests etc. They knew many of the orders before they were even placed. Think Cheers - "Norm!" - Despite not being a regular we were treated very well and served with the same sort of "part of the family feel". The food was good dinner style food. Was hoping for a bit more of a "twist" to the menu items that made them more of a Riverside " item" but the food was good. Parking is not the best as it is in the city but there is parking to be found. Worth the trip and the wait.

This is my go to breakfast/lunch spot on the weekend. I love everything I have gotten there, from Eggs & Bacon to fresh salads. The people that make this establishment move, actually care & it shows. My addiction started with their amazing Monte Cristo sandwich & evolved from there. You may have to wait on the weekends, if they are busy, but it is always worth it.

This one surprised me by being WAY better than I anticipated! The food was better than most any diner I've been to around St. Louis, and the service was great! Tiny little spot that I never would've guessed could he so good! We loved it!!

Proof not to judge a book by its cover. From the outside it looks mehh. But inside is a different story. It's quaint and homey and perfect! It's the definition of a diamond in the rough! Keep doing what you do! ❤

Inconspicuous on the outside, but a great, clean dinner on the inside. Food was amazing, price was reasonable, staff was super friendly. Definitely going back soon!

I love this place so much. A friend of mine and I have met for lunch and breakfast @Riverside so many/countless times over the past several years. It's like a hole in the wall country kitchen tucked away from the main roads inside the city. If you didn't know it was there, you might never. However, it's a gem in my book. The wait staff are always so kind and the food really is great! I don't go anywhere and order dessert. It's just never something I consider. However, I would go here just for the pie alone. It's that good.

Had Breakfast there this morning. OMG service was wonderful. Our server was so polite. The food was DELICIOUS! The inside of this diner is so cute and inviting!

I love a small friendly neighborhood diner! I lived in the area for 5yrs and never knew about this place, very upsetting lol. Now i do and will drive the 20mins to eat here. Great food, service was amazing. I love that the people working there knew most of the customers by name. Feel like a home cooked meal at a great price. Wish they were open later. Dont forget to ask about specials, youll miss out if you dont.

Loved it! We had planned to stop in Soulard for breakfast and place was packed. Started heading out 55 and did a Google search for restaurants nearby and discovered Riverside. My new favorite breakfast place. There was a wait for a table but chatted with folks outside and they insisted it was worth it. They were right. Service was outstanding and staff we interacted with were all friendly. Darling diner, very nostalgic. And the food? delish!! Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. Tasted my boyfriend’s pancakes and they may be the best ever. My biscuits and gravy tasted just like my mom used to make. Highly recommend!!
