I rarely go to the branch as 99% of what we as consumers need is on line. But in the past two times I have needed an in person appointment, Alexander McHenry has been so helpful. I see other reviews not as positive on BOA, but if you want an exceptional experience, go visit Alexander.

Veena Rao helped us open a bank account, update SSN and apply for a credit card. The process was very smooth, she was very helpful and kind.
Appreciate it !!

Mark was so helpful! I had a problem with an account and he listened to the full story before making multiple calls on my behalf to get the problem resolved. I would definitely recommend this Bank of America branch.

I always get kind and professional service here. I don’t have any idea why it has so poor ratings. Keep it up, BofA!

An unacceptably slow and frustrating experience. For such a busy downtown, it is confusing that they’re not properly staffed. 1 manager who is working as a greeter and 1 teller. 11:30 on a workday. Bankers hours indeed.

There is no cell service in the building by the tellers. BoA will sometimes require a confirmation code sent to your mobile when withdrawing foreign currency.

Sure, fine, security, but since your building has no cell service and the tellers are placed in what seems like a lead lined cave, this process doesn’t work so well.

Their ATM also only gives out 20’s. I’ve been to it multiple times. Where are the options for other bills?

One would think since the other BoA is under renovation by the Metropolitan Market a few miles down the road, the company would be aware of the increased traffic and the need to have high quality service.

2 stars because the manager was apologetic as I left.

The line is long here and they have one teller even though there were other people working that day. I got foreign currency and the teller counted it behind his screen without showing me the denominations and made a snarky comment when I recounted it again.

i was having troubles with my online banking. I went into the Downtown Kirkland branch on 12/18 just after noon. Online customer service asked me to go into the branch with 2 forms of identification to verify my identity. I showed up with passport, drivers license, debit card. when I asked for help, I was asked to take a seat with one of the bankers. She took my information, but they were quick to shut me down. she asked for help from her supervisor and i heard her laugh and say "we can't do that". I drove 7 minutes away to a different branch and they were able to resolve my issue in 10 minutes. im not sure why downtown Kirkland BOA were so hesitant to provide help, when I was the only customer in there. they did not seem to be occupied with anything else as they were just chatting when I walked in. If you want quality customer service I recommend visiting the branch in totem lake.

Worst experience. Been with this bank for more than 16y.
Booked an appointment before 5 days giving them all the details of my asks.

Took a day off our work, went into the bank. On the day of appointment, the banker said they can’t help with such requests.

Such a waste of time. They don’t care about their clients.

They just lost me and a potential client (was going to open an account for our child)

Moving all my money to Chase now. Never had such unpleasant experience there.

My only experience with Bank of America has been this branch. It has been a reliably terrible and frustrating experience. We will not bank, invest, open accounts or use bank of America in any way in the future.

Our experience with this branch has included opening accounts for 2 au pairs we have hosted. We will never use BOA again. Example of unbelievably poor service was today:

Our wonderful Au Pair is leaving to return to Germany in one week. We went to this Bank of America branch to complete a wire transfer of her money back to Germany from her BOA account. We also we wanted information on how to close her account as she is leaving. We spoke with a person at the desk fairly quickly who was pleasant, but didn't provide any further information. We then waited approximately 45 minutes in the lobby to do the wire transfer. We met with a gentleman who immediately began talking down to us. Not once apologizing for the wait time (fine, I get it, everyone is short staffed). He asked if we were prepared to make the transaction, if we knew what we needed. Never having done this before, of course we didn't. Banking is not my field of work. Instead of letting us know what we needed (which we did in fact have everything) he engaged in a angry line of questioning, which did not make us feel welcome or cared for. We were treated like an inconvenience and burden. He then said we should do the transfer at Western Union because they have better rates. He insisted we do this multiple times even though we told him we didn't want to. We had no want to go somewhere else after waiting and just wanted this done. Also we repeated multiple times that she needed to transfer money to herself which he later agreed was not something Western Union could do. He then showed us a terrible exchange rate through BOA coupled with exorbitant fees. We then proceeded down the road of trying to just take out euros. We found out that their exchange rate was even worse for this. However, we had waited almost an hour now and just wanted this done. I had our 4 year old with us who was ancy to leave. We then found out that our Au Pair needed to confirm her username to get euros through the app, but she didn't know it. It was saved in asterisks on her phone in the app. The gentleman then told us he couldn't help us without this, we would need to complete the transaction through the app only, and he couldn't help us by doing it in their system. He instructed us to go home and use the app. Huge waste of time. Terrible customer service. Terrible banking policies and fees. Never again.

I personally use chase and used their app to wire her money from my account in less than 5 minutes with fewer fees. I should have done this in the first place.

Manager was condescending when explaining why they couldn’t fulfill my request. I’ve come in multiple times and they can’t get anything done day-of. Teller made mistakes while handling my request. BoA has provided me consistently low quality of service.

Have been banking with BOA for decades with a preferred customer status and have never been treated worse than this: came in Saturday... The manager was snobbish and unhelpful. For most of the time I was the only customer yet she wouldn't help in spite of the issue I was having with the teller. The teller was doing her best to use any power she had to make me come back another day. Through and through, both the teller and the manager had 0 customer service passion or skills.

One teller and 5 people in line.
Other bank employees wondering around and one greeting people walking in. I’ve never waited as long at a bank as I have at this branch. The others waiting were equally upset.
BTW We don’t need someone loudly greeting us at the door!

I’ve been banking with BofA for almost 20 years. This banking center couldn’t be more poorly run. I went in for a wire transfer and was turned away and told to make an appointment online. Time for a new bank!!!

Was racially profiled first time I came here. Never more than 1 teller working. Doesn't matter what time of day.
