First Impressions Hair & Day Spa

Kristina did a phenomenal double-process on my long, dark, fine, straight hair back in March (lightened and then colored), and just today, she gave me an exceptional short bob/pixie cut. She's a sweetheart and she knows her stuff. I'll be back!

I found Carmen and First Impressions three or four years ago and dropped in to see about an appointment. I had been growing my style out and was looking for a new stylist. She was wonderful. She is professional and knowledgeable. I get compliments on my cut often. I would highly recommend her.

Carmen has been my hair stylist for over 20 years. She is professional, listens to her customers and works to make them happy, She goes to trainings and keeps up on latest styles. First Impressions is a great little shop right off route 100 in Gray.

Tuesday was great, environment was great. I'm definitely going back for my next hair cut. Great job.

my first impressions of this hell-hole of a hair salon were negative to say the least. walking in i was met with the apparent odor of harsh chemicals, they might have just made my eyes bleed. so i was skeptical. I had not gotten a haircut in many years, due to my fear of a botched job. I showed the old lady a photo of the hair i wanted, a nice layer cut, and wispy bangs. i did not receive what i asked for. the haircut experience was a nightmare, she talked like a rabid parrot. and would not shut up despite my lack of interest, and apparent scowl. the results where my worst fear. she did not add layers, instead cut unevenly straight across in the worst way. and my bangs were a whole other story They were blunt and one side was noticeably longer than the other very uneven and sloppy. i guess she is only good at doing Karen cuts and interacting with old lady's who want to talk about their kids'soccer games. i proceeded to tell the hag i loved it due to my fear of her talking to me more. i later went home and cried. it took weeks to get the retched stank out of my clothes. The experience still haunts me to this day.
this was almost a year ago before i went on a vacation (to witch the photos of my hair still haunt my dreams) i have waited to write this long overdue scathing review due to my inevitable fear of her stalking me down and lecturing me on some crazy old lady stuff. i don't really care if you go here or not but be warned you may come out a different person.

I have been steaming mad about this for just over a week but and I do not like to complain. This is the first negative review I have ever written. I went to get my roots touched up, they were definitely overdue. I couldn’t see a problem until I got home and took a photo of the top of my head. The roots don’t show up as drastically as they did before the appointment but they sure are visible. I sent a photo copy of the photo to a friend and also a high end
hairstylist in Naples, FL. I made no attempt to influence either one but asked them if they would be happy with the job. Both said: Absolutely not. I’ll be kind and not mention the name of the stylist. Obviously the wrong color was used and I’m sure the stylist could see her error but she said nothing about it. Aside from my roots the color used also dulled down the color of my hair overall. I definitely will not return to this salon again!

Carmen is a really nice person, but I didn't receive the cut I asked for and sadly lots of mistakes :( Reference Images were looked at and then forgotten, but oh well it will grow back. You may get a good cut here, but you also may not... Best of luck! -Josh
