Pleasant Point Park

MaGrath Pond in Oakland, Maine is one of mine and my 14 year old twins FAVORITE SWIMMING SPOTS to go to in the Waterville/Oakland area...we've been enjoying the lakes and swimming spots for years. At least since my kiddos were just about old enough to walk and talk lol! We're also going to enjoy this spot for so many more years to come!!!!

Beautiful park. Worth the walk down in. There are several secluded spots for fishing, swimming or bbqing on included stationary grills. Grills were a little old and worse for wear, bring some tinfoil and briquettes if you intend to use em.
Little playground good for Littles but no shade ON playground (plenty around.) Little nature trail/walk is short (1/2 mile maybe) but is shaded and right next to the water. Plenty of room in the field to play frisbee/tag/pass.

Great place to bring the whole family! They have a picnic area. They also have great nature trails for the kids to walk. You can find some great fishing holes. The swim area is a little small but it is great for kids of all ages. They have the built in grills if you wanna grill. A small playground for kids. It's not huge but with so much to do it is plenty big enough. Plus they have huge grass area's for the kids to run and play and be kids!!!! Picnic tables are spread out in several different areas. They have a small place just as you get there to launch a canoe or kayak. They have a softball field that in the fall doubles as a soccer field. During the season they have a port a potty. I really shouldn't be saying all the great stuff about this place as it will attract more people! Lol!!! I honestly love this out of the way gem and I'm sure you would also!

Limited picnic table areas. Not many people share much either but pull up some mother Earth and enjoy her beauty for sure.

The town park in Oakland ME has a ball field, beach, an area to launch a canoe, kayak, or boat, some nice trails, and a picnic area. Situated on beautiful McGrath Pond it also allows for snow mobility and access to ice fishing. A very nice place.

Great place to bring your family. Swimming is great for the kids it's shallow and Sandy. There's a playground and a big grass field along with trails and picnic tables/grills.

Terrific place to spend a relaxing afternoon with family. On your way to Pleasant Point, pick up lunch at the iconic Four Korner’s Store, then enjoy on private picnic tables, and take a swim in a secluded cove.

Our favorite spot for swimming! Excellent beach for children, plus...playground, picnic spots, and easy fishing for small perch, etc.

Walked down to the river, it was a little windy, but the view was nice and the trails are fine

Great, clean place to relax and swim. Even with a lot of people it is not crowded with benches and grills available. So much fun to go and definitely a hidden gem for the area.

A little longer of a walk in than I was expecting. But I really liked it! Very clean, the water was gorgeous. There are a couple of porta-potties, no real trash around which is nice.

What a beautiful spot. Access to the lake all around the point. It's like having my own camp site. Could use a potty cleaning, has only one porta potty and it was full yesterday.

Beautiful park with swimming area, picnic tables, and playground. I love that it's free and personally I feel it's less ratchet than the boat landing.

Very nice place. Ball fields, walking trail, pet friendly and some acces to water. Well maintained and kid friendly.

As always a great place to spend the day very well cared for we're very lucky to access to this great picnic area and swimming spot.
