Dr. Van is excellent! Taylor and Kelsey in the office are as well. Recently received therapy for a shoulder problem. The therapy given was wonderful. Sound advice, thorough explanation of condition and plan of care. Results were better than expected. Wide array of services available to aid various conditions. Would definitely return! I went to see Dr. Van for a bad knee with arthritis. Worried that he wouldn't be able to do much with it, he had me doing exercises that strengthen the right muscles to help my knee and I've improved wonderfully! So happy! Thank you so much. The office staff (Taylor) is very nice also. 😊

Van’s neck and headache therapy has been wonderful—my headaches and neck pain are so much better! His expert care and personalized approach make him the best physical therapist I've worked with. I started my physical therapy journey about 5 weeks ago and just finished my last session with Van this morning. When we first met, he had told me that by the time my sessions were over, I would be feeling much better. I'll admit, I was extremely skeptical. I have had so much pain for years in my neck and shoulders, constant headaches, frequent muscle tightness to the point I was in so much pain and so stiff that I could not move my neck or even accomplish something as simple as doing the dishes. There was no way I was going to feel better after 10 sessions.... But, I am here to tell you that Van was absolutely right!!! The headaches, aches, pains, and stiffness have subsided and I feel like a brand new person. Physical therapy did not just help me with my pain, but also boosted my confidence! I'm standing straighter and taller. I can play with my kids, give piggy back rides, do all the things I need to accomplish without having to take a break or take pain medication and muscle relaxers. Van and his staff truly made me feel welcome and heard. I was nervous to start out but they made sure to make me feel comfortable and at ease with every session. Van is very attentative and never rushed any of our sessions. He also helped me realize that it's not just the exercises I need to do, but explained how daily lifestyle changes would help improve my posture and pain. Van really put 110% effort into my journey and I am so grateful that he did. I would recommend physical therapy to anyone who may need it, but I HIGHLY recommend doing it at this location with Van. It has truly changed my life......Thank you Van, I appreciate all you have done for me and I know my kids appreciate it too!!!!

Last year I connected with a top-rate PT at the Algonac “Let’s get Fyzical” — “Sam”. But there is a limit to what even a miracle worker can do with a knee! After my Ortho Dr did a full knee replacement (12/4), it was back to PT. Due to the holiday season, I did a couple weeks of multiple PT sessions under the skilled hands of Van at the “Let’s get Fyzical” in East China (that attractive small brick office on River Road.) Recovery is not for sissies & the PT, of necessity, is no fun! Getting full pain free use of the knee can take 9-12 months. A capable PT is critical. That was Van & Sam! They pushed me to assure my knee & leg muscles can be part of an active life style I have not had for so long. Not all have ideal outcomes…but Sam & Van have been assisting me to assure I DO!

If you need physical therapy, Dr. Van is your guy! I could barely walk when I came in. Dr. Van quickly diagnosed me with an SI joint issue. I was awarded 12 visits through my insurance and Dr. Van put together a treatment plan, taught me the strengthening exercises and massaged and stretched me out each visit. It's a night and day difference and it's great to be pain free! Not only is he a very knowledgeable Dr, he's a fantastic person. The office environment is very positive and personal. You'll enjoy getting to know him and his staff.

I HIGHLY recommend therapists Van & Sam at Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers! They are VERY knowledgeable & treated me after a knee replacement & complicated revision and got me walking normally again with more range of motion than I've had in years! Receptionists Bailey & Kelsey are very amicable, accommodating with scheduling and a nice welcome at either the East China or Algonac office.

Not only is Dr. Sam an extremely competent professional who has extensive training & education in many different treatment modalities, he loves working with people and it shows. He is very respectful, kind, friendly, easy-going, and always puts the patient first and foremost. He recognizes the individuality of each person and designs his treatment programs accordingly, always putting the patient at the center. As treatment progresses, he will tweak, adjust, and modify your program based on what works best for you. After treatment is completed, he follows up periodically to inquire about how you’re doing and if any new problems have cropped up that he can address. The office staff is very friendly and helpful and the clinic has a very positive and healing atmosphere. Dr. Sam and his clinic rate 5 stars and more. Highly recommended!

I have been to various physical therapists over the years for various ailments. Van has provided the quickest relief in the most professional manner while still making the appointment a pleasant experience. If something changes from appointment to appointment the treatment changes to meet those needs. I can’t say enough good things. I’d recommend you request Van and Fyzical if you need physical therapy.

University of Michigan vetted Fyzical Therapy and Balance as a great physical therapy provider for my husband after his surgery. They were correct! My husband had such great success with Dr. Van, that I went there for my own issues. Dr. Van gave me a great plan and helped me implement it, too.
I am so HAPPY to move pain free now. Dr. Van diagnosed my problem, showed me how to correct it with stretches and exercise, and gave me a plan that I could easily do at home. It was a pleasure going to work with him. He is a kind and friendly man. I was amazed at the intelligence and knowledge this doctor has regarding physical therapy. He is Fellowship trained, teaches internationally, and is just a great practitioner. To me, he is a miracle worker!

I had a pinched nerve in my back and i could not feel my left foot. I had already been through 2 back surgeries. I also have osteoporosis. Dr. Van treated me for this and within 4 weeks had me able to go for daily walks. Feeling in my foot returned and without surgery. Friendly service staff too. Would recommend them as the best in the area.

I've used Fyzical therapy location in Algonac for myself and recently the East China office. Excellent staff, communication. They take the time to educate you, answer questions along the way.They go above and beyond. They are an asset to both communities.

Nancy and Van both were awesome. They helped me recover from both my knee replacement surgery's. I highly recommend them. In fact Van is helping my wife Sherry with her knee replacement now.

They have changed not only my knowledge of my own body but have improved my quality of life. The staff is always so friendly. Van is just amazing. He’s helped my cronic migraines all but disappear and shows he truly cares and has a passion for helping others manage pain and maintain their physical health. Highly recommend!!!

Well I can say that Sam is a good therapist, seen the hospital twice knowing that I had vergo. There wasn't much they can do beside put me on medication. Been three weeks visit with Sam and feel 90% better I'm getting stronger and feeling better but we have a long road ahead of us until I get that 100%. I would recommend Sam to anyone that is in pain he is a good therapist.

I was in tremendous sciatica pain. Couldn't sit or lay without pain. I was skeptical about therapy working on something so severe. But Sam was amazing. I am out of all pain and not looking at surgery. His work ethic is stellar. His calm spirit and deep knowledge of how the human body works is top notch. Will recommend to all I know. Will return if pain returns. Thank you so very much.
