my kids go to godfrey lee school. ive never seen anything as bad at a school environment in my life. There is embezzlement of funds and theres faculty members there that are dangerous. One in particular mike henderson who makes fun of the kids , has challenged one 7th grader to a fight on the school parking lot. i brought all of this to the superintendents attention amd the principal and nothing has been done. OUR KIDS ARE NOT SAFE!!!! we need to stand up. this Michigan department or education is just as useless

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t enroll into Hastings if you move they won’t release your child’s records to the parents.

I graduated from a Detroit public school. My house was in the flood and I lost my diploma. I been searching for over 15 years for a copy of my diploma and transcripts. I been on every website and my credentials are lost. They can't find them. I copied my diploma but it's not a good copy. I called the department of education for Michigan and the service was terrible once I finally got them on the phone. I literally will have to take my high school diploma courses all over or take my GED. Now I been to college and they can't release a copy of my diploma or transcripts to me. Jobs require I have a diploma or transcripts to get the job. They don't accept college certifications or degrees. They must have your diploma. This is ridiculous. So I am back to high School courses or GED testing. I'm disgusted. The Michigan department of education know nothing once u finally get them on the phone. If they answer. Then they wonder why people give up. The system doesn't work for the people.

I can't even get these people to return a phone call or email. I work in education in Michigan and no one from the department of education will get back to me. We should all be ashamed of this level of 'service' to our Michigan constituents. Absolutely shameful. If I could give zero stars, I would.

It doesn’t even deserve one star. Do our tax dollars pay for this? This is absolutely ridiculous! Someone needs to look into this. No wonder our kids in the state of Michigan do so poorly compared to other states when our department of education doesn’t even care!

HORRIBLE NEVER TAKE A LOAN OUT FOR YOUR EDUCATION. EVEN IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING THEY DONT CARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR WHOLE TAX REFUND. I TOLD THEM I WAS GETTING EVICTED AND I HAD NO FOOD THEY STILL WONT GIVE BACK. IF THEY TRY THIS AGAIN I JUST WONT FILE. IM NOT PLAYING THEIR GAME.

The person department I am trying to reach sends me to a retired person's extension. How are you supposed to get anything done? Ridiculous

The worst customer services I ever experienced, all their numbers are inactive. They don’t call you back and they don’t answer your calls. I don’t see why is this department is even open. I work at schools and hospitals and I been trying to reach them for weeks now. It got to the point where I give up and went drop out of college, thanks Department of Education. Garbage!

Rude, very judgmental on students, don't answer the question asked..always pushing you off on to someone else..
