House Of Falafel

Driving in from the Midwest, late on a holiday night, looking for maximum flavor, we lucked upon the House of Falafel. Our high expectations were exceeded - specifically the incredibly creamy hummus, the bountiful mixed grill, topped off with the baklava. All four of us agreed - some of the best we’ve ever had.

Best hummus in 3 counties! The food is always beyond delicious, fresh, and everyone there is so nice. Always clean and welcoming. 5/5 stars because 6 was not an option.

Once again my Godson Marcel brought me here to try their Chicken kaboob on a pita. It was so good I came back the next day and I also brought some for my brother Alvin and his wife Lina to try and they also loved it. We are planning to go together to have dinner there soon.

***update*** 7/29/23 got the mixed grill. This is my fave place in town. Absolutely delicious…

Best hummus in New Jersey!!! Owners are super friendly and this spot became one of regular stops. I traveled all over the world and anywhere I go for middle eastern food, I compare dishes to this little hidden gem.

I go out my way just to stop at house of falafel.

Didn't expect the food to be so good. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The grilled items were tender and moist. Keep up the good work!

If you want to eat real Syria food this is it! It’s not fancy restaurant but you must try their food.

This is very first time I tried hibiscus lemonade it’s so delicious.

Amazing Falafel! Best I have had so far! The white sauce is also incredible! The owner is also very nice and even gave me falafel pieces on the house! Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Excellent service, the lady at the counter was extremely courteous whether it was answering my millions of questions to offering me a free sample of their mint lemonade which is really delicious. I ordered the chicken shawarma and hummus with one pita. The hummus was excellent! The shawarma I got was okay, chicken well seasoned, Im just not a fan of some of the veggies used in it which I’ll definitely omit the next time. Overall it was a great meal, well priced, and fast but friendly service. If you are in the area definitely give them a try.

Hands down the best falafel/pita/hummus you've ever tasted. Everything is made by them from scratch and you can taste that too. 10/10.

Delicious falafel - soft, tasty & hot! Very kind Customer service! Price is perfect - $10 for a falafel platter (up in North NJ where I live, I got the same platter for $21 and it wasn’t even good!) I usually stop eating at the rice but this rice was super delish so I ate it all! 😊

Went here for the first time today. Got chicken shawarma platter. Very tasty and generous portions. I am a local and this will be my go-to place from now on for kebabs and falafels.

2 years later and still as good. We've been having the falafel sandwich and it's great. Very fresh. Falafel are made to order and have great flavor.

Very tasty! Fresh food, and the range of homemade salads is massive! It's not a very big space, but large enough for a party of 10 or so!
I will be revisiting soon!

Great place if you are into Mediterranean dishes. Ordered Falafel mix veg Platter. It was exactly what I expected. Service is also excellent. Price was also affordable. Overall very good experience.

This place is the classic example of the saying: the best things come in small packages. Discreet and simple place, run by family owners. They serve really high quality food, great taste, good prices, and above all they keep their traditional identity food intact. Really nice and hard worker people, I love going there, talking to them and eat their food, specially baklava and "Lentils Soup". You should try if you want to taste something different, out of the ordinary. Open mind, open taste...

We usually do takeout. I called ahead, and lunch was ready for pickup within 15 min.

Gor Shwarma (chicken) on pita and platter. As usual, chicken was flavorful, and pitta was fresh. The platter was also the same.

Price is reasonable.
Please give them a try.
