Stirling Tavern

The food is so flavorful and delicious and the drinks are so good and creative!! In addition, the service is top notch. Everything came out within a few minutes including extra ketchup, the entrees, the sides, and the drinks. The bartender, Dan was super friendly and helpful! Overall, a great experience. We’ll be back!

Loved the roof top and really enjoyed the food.. I have to say this place has amazing food. Every time I come I am not disappointed. This time I got these sweet corn flatbread and the marinated olives. Very fall and seasonal menu was amazing, even my cocktail was fall inspired. It had a smoked cinnamon stick in my drink, so fun! It’s well located and always parking near by. This place is actually really large, so you will basically always be able to get a seat. Vin is one of my favorite bartenders / servers! Highly recommend you come here!

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch after doing some car shopping in the area. We could tell it was a popular place after getting a table shortly after opening, it filled up fast. We ordered the tempura broccoli as an app, and for our mains, the burger bites and the tavern burger with port cheese. The broccoli was great and cooked perfect. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her burger bites with goat cheese and sweet potato fries. I got my burger done medium and upgraded to the port cheese, it was cooked perfect and the cheese definitely stood out. Overall, great food and quality. The service was also very good and we didn't wait long for any of our food. If we're ever in the area again, we will be stopping in.

The restaurant is big. Casual and cozy. Great for family parties. Unfortunately I couldn’t try the meat because they don’t have it for lunch; I tried instead the burger. It’s rich and heavy, if you’re hungry this will fill you up!
Next time I would love to try the meat because I heard is good.

Very nice terrace , cozy and pretty. Great beer, ordered the first one that appears on the menu and ordered a salad and a hamburger. Honestly the salad was so much better than the hamburger, just add chicken !! Is worth it, you can see in the pictures the size of the chicken.
We paid 80 dollars in total for 2 beers and the food, tips and taxes included.

Great spot for a great meal. Appetizers were very good- really liked the wings. Steak was very good as well.

First time to Stirling Tavern, and was really impressed. We are at the bar for brunch. The service was quick, and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the breakfast tacos, which were fresh and delicious. My husband had the wings, which were also fresh and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had a great first experience at Sterling Tavern. The food was amazing, drinks delicious and our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Excited to go back.

WHAT WE ATE:
My favorite was the Mexican Street Corn Flatbread and the Gouda MacN’Cheese!

My husband and brother had the Sterling burger that looked pretty boss and my mom was raving about her Southwest salad.

I had the Pad Thai special and it was good but spice needed to be toned down (and I love spice but it was a little too much), just going to mix it with some more noodles when I get home. The shrimp on this dish were HUGE and amazing.

OH! We also had the Crab Cake Tots on the specials. Even my 5 year old like them!

Overall WOW and YUM to everything.

Met a friend for a couple of pops and dinner. One of the first people I met when I moved to NJ twenty-three years ago.

Grabbed a couple of seats at the upstairs bar. The two young ladies working the bar were excellent. Great personalities and knowledge of the menu.

The menu has so many good options along with multiple gluten-free options. The gluten-free and vegan offerings are well marked and easy to select your meal.

Friend had wild boar Ragu and said it was excellent. I selected the Mushroom Glass Noodles. Outstanding sauce with gluten-free noodles and nice chunks of mushrooms.

I'm looking forward to returning.

I come to Stirling very often and all the times I have been there, I have never had any bad experiences. Everything from food, atmosphere and service is always great. Can’t wait to go back 😊

Decided to try this restaurant for Lunch since usually it is so crowded and it is difficult to find a parking spot on South street. First the decor is quaint and if you look toward the bar which is separate from the restaurant you see a welcome sign and the staff seating us are very friendly. I decided on a Tavern burger because the ingredients were different. Ground short rib and brisket with applewood smoke bacon. My partner picked the Avocado and Grapefruit Salad red grapefruit segments, avocado, baby arugula feta cheese and a citrus vinaigrette dressing and asked for a grilled Salmon on top which was an additional price and they gladly made it. The burger is large and beautifully served with a side of french fries and the salad with salmon moist and perfectly grilled on top was beautiful. We were not disappointed with our selection and both were delicious. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Stopped in here for a quick drink, was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and wonderful creations.

Didn't get an opportunity to try much of the food other then the beer cheese soup but that was delicious. The cocktails were a little pricy but top notch, and the staff very friendly.

Came here for a date night and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were made perfectly. The mussel and chorizo appetizer was super unique and packed with flavor. My girlfriend got the scallops, which were slightly over cooked but still delicious. The potato side it comes with is super unique and we are dying to go back just for that. We could have licked the plate clean. I got the pork ossobucco special, which should absolutely be a regular on the menu because it was absolutely spectacular. The mushroom risotto was one of the best I’ve had, only could get better with some fresh truffle over it. The pork itself was fall off the bone tender and the serving size is honestly enough to share with one or two other people. It’s an incredible special that I’d love to go back to have again. But the highlight of the entire dinner was the dessert. The s’mores sundae was lights out good. I thought it would be overly sweet but the pretzel panko cuts the sweet and adds the perfect salty combo. We can’t wait to go back and do another date night here!

Stirling Tavern is one of our favorite spots in Morristown. The menu, cocktails, and ambiance are great! A little on the expensive side though.

Loved the new spinach artichoke flatbread, but really miss the Asian Fried Cauliflower. The Mexican Corn Flatbread was underwhelming.

The food here is delicious!!! I had the aged Gouda burger and it did not disappoint. It came with bacon caramelized onions and perfectly delicious melted aged Gouda. My partner had the Turkey bacon club on multigrain bread. It had a delicious pesto Mayo which gave this classic dish the kick it needed to stand out from the rest! Will be coming back here for sure!! Last but not least - their seasonal beer , united boos had pumpkin notes to it with a very smooth finish.

Excellent food and drinks! And the service was awesome - they were super accommodating for my group of 6 that came in during a busy Saturday night. Would definitely come back here!

Great menu! Loved the fried broccoli appetizer with grated egg yolk. The Beet salad with crispy Serrano ham felt healthy and decadent. Adding grilled chicken made it a hearty meal.

Actually we are Camping at was looking for somewhere to have dinner & found Stiriling Tavern! So glad we did too. Great food drinks & atmosphere. Come & check them out.

Stirling Tavern is a no-brainer if you're looking for a guaranteed good meal in a great atmosphere. We went early on a Wednesday evening. I always book a reservation here because it's guaranteed busy for dinner. Our table was ready upon arrival and we were seated at a cozy corner booth which I always enjoy. As it was Ash Wednesday, my husband and I both ordered fish (salmon and halibut). I can't say enough about the cauliflower puree on the salmon. Every other word out of my husband's mouth was omg while eating the halibut so I think that speaks for itself. The fried pickles are a favorite and I really enjoyed the brussel sprout salad. Could've used a touch more dressing but still amazing. Last, but certainly not least, our server Riley was a pure delight. Thanks for making our overdue date night fun!
