Cipollina

I couldn’t have loved this place more ! Food was amazing. Waiter and “water lady” Gail, were so friendly and sweet. It is small and adorable inside. Cannot wait to come back.

Cipollina is such a wonderful spot in Akron! The service is always so personable, and the food is delicious. There’s a decent assortment of wines, and the bread is so good! Would recommend checking out this restaurant.

Oh my al'dente pasta usually i expect mushy pasta.

Its got a good atmosphere nice and quiet dimly lit but i could read the menu.

Even the doggy bags are good they wrap them in celophane so they dont leak in the car.

Had lasagna it was THE BEST piece of lasagna I've ever had hands down

Absolutely exceptional food and service.
We had 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 4 desserts between us. Every single dish was above our expectations. Do yourself a favor and go to this gem! Eat local and be amazed!

Reservations recommended. They were able to accommodate 2 of us without reservations on a Thursday(but had to turn others away while we were eating.) Small but very nice, clean restaurant. Delicious food, reasonable prices, great dinner music and Hunter, the waiter, was a very pleasant young man who is good at his job. Highly recommend the antipasto della casa. (plenty for 2)

We had a family style meal for 12 people. Dinner and service were outstanding! We had a great time. I highly recommend. 🇮🇹

We love this place. If you want thoughtful, authentic Italian cuisine in a lovely environment with excellent service this is the place for you.

I'm hesitant to write a review really describing just how good this place is because then it'll be even harder to get a reservation. I'm not lying when I say there's nothing on the menu that isn't great. Chef Jerry is passionate about cooking and it shows in each and every dish. And shout out to Hunter for his exceptional skills as a server. This isn't a place where you rush in and out, having appetizers, entrees, and dessert in an hour. It's relaxed. You get to enjoy each aspect of your meal. You get to enjoy the conversation and being with your dinner companions. All that, and the prices are reasonable too. If you can't enjoy yourself here, then there's something wrong with you. Also, get dessert.

We were there for a surprise Birthday Dinner. There were able to serve Dinner into Family Style. All our Guests were Pleased. Will be back.

We had reservations for dinner here. Our server Hunter was very friendly and professional- he was fantastic at his job. The food was absolutely delicious! Definitely authentic Italian. The prices are great. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant was old school. It's exactly what you would hope for and then some. My date and I were both very impressed. I have told several friends already and we will be back. Great food .

Great food - great staff. The Marsala Meatballs are so good - we get them every time. Chef always comes by the table to say hello and make sure everything is just how you like it. This place is a gem.

Had reservations for tonight. Best Italian food I’ve had. Amazing service, amazing waiter, amazing food. The wine is lovely! Can’t say enough nice things. Definitely recommend. Thank you for taking the time to put such love into the food you serve. Will be going again!

We are staying nearby for a wedding, and decided to try out Cipollina because it was walkable and had wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed! I forgot to take pictures here is what we ordered:
Apps
Crema- Creamy, well seasoned tomato soup. Great start.
Burrata- served with an eggplant (?) caponata, arugula and a parmesan crisp. This was really nice on the warm bread. The caponata was very tasty and I am usually anti-eggplant.
Mains
-Tortellini with prosciutto, peas tomatoes and garlic cream sauce. My 9 year old loved "the magical cheese purses" and even ate a good number of peas.
-spaghetti w/garlic cream sauce. My other 9 year old is very cautious of new foods so we asked if she could have something familiar to her. They were kind enough to make her perfect al dente noodles in a light cream sauce.
Lasagna- I would have eaten my own weight in their red sauce, it is so good. The lasagna was very good, the noodles were lovely and tender, the ricotta was creamy and the meat was well seasoned. It was not smothered in mozzarella, but enough to get the stretch and chew. So good.
Salmon over parmesan risotto. I didn't try this one b/c it was gone before I could. I was told the salmon was cooked perfectly.
Desserts!
Cannoli:it was good, served with chocolate chips and pistachios.
Cheesecake: not what you would expect, no crust and not as heavy as "NY" cheesecake.
Lemon cake- limoncello icing and a springy sponge cake.
Budino- Oh my God, I stole this from my child. A chocolate hazelnut pudding, smooth, not too sweet, not heavy, just so so good. (She was fine, there was plenty to share. Don't judge me.)
I wish this place wasn't 7 hours from my house. Everyone was friendly, the tables were a good size, well spaced and clean. Hopefully we will have to attend more weddings nearby. 😁

If you haven't eaten here before you need to go. Flawless! Food was great and food is reasonable. Great Chef that checks on you and on occasion is known to offer a free treat. Many thanks for an enjoyable evening spent with great friends.

Great food at a reasonable price. I recommend it. It's a little difficult to find because it is in back of a pizza shop. Don't let that deter you! Save room for dessert it is outstanding.

Hunter provided exceptional service and hospitality! The food was excellent! Their pomodoro sauce is simply amazing!

The deserts are equally amazing. We had their homeade cheesecake and cannolis.
