We always have such a good time here. It is absolutely beautiful with waterfalls and a covered bridge. Recently made a fire poker at their blacksmith shop during the hot chocolate festival. Sledding when there is snow. Upcoming events (2023) look awesome!

Stayed at this beautiful educational center in the Catskills for 2 nights.  I needed to get away and it was just what I needed and more.  We came for the Maple Festival and it was so nice to just relax and listen to music and explore the grounds. Kids get to be kids here and one with nature. The food was home cooked every day and plentiful. All meals are included in the price of lodging.  We were so sad to have to leave and we can't wait to plan another trip back for a longer stay!

We came to the Ashokan Center to have a reunion as former staff members. The current staff is creative and welcoming, and the campus rich in history and natural beauty. The Hot Chocolate Festival was fun and tasty. Lots of music and nature events, along with school group visits. Come visit!

Our family of four visited the Ashokan Center for two nights during their winter Hot Chocolate Festival. We had a phenomenal time! The lodging was super-comfy, the food was delicious and plentiful, and there were numerous activities readily available (including sledding, several trails, and the festival itself). We can't wait to come back during the summer!

My wife and I stayed here over a weekend for a friend's wedding and had a wonderful time. The Ashokan Center is gorgeous and has great food, comfortable beds, and hot showers. And lots of beautiful trails to walk. Pretty much everything you would want from a weekend in the woods.

We’ve been going to the Ashokan Center for various events for 17 years and it just keeps getting better. The access to wonderful music in a really intimate laid-back setting is truly unique. The Summer and Winter Hoots are great experiences for all ages. Walking the trails through gorgeous woods, over a covered bridge and beside rushing waterfalls always leads to new discoveries. During events and school trips, you can use authentic tools in the blacksmith, tin and broom shops. The Catskill Conversations series offers opportunuities to enjoy interesting speakers on a variety of topics. Every time I go there, I feel like I’ve entered an oasis of hope and peace.

My husband and I got married here this past weekend. Very picturesque--a perfect spot for a fall wedding in upstate NY. The grounds and facilities are amazing, and the staff is everything you would hope for. Hats off to Chef Bill for the delicious dinner and desserts!!

This is a wonderful out door experience for adults and kids. The facilities are well kept and clean.

The staff is personable and attentive.

The food is also very good. Chef does a great job. Only thing is the dressings for the salad are all acidic need some more choices live asian ginger, ranch, honey mustard, etc...

This is the friendliest place I know. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful and I've made so many lifelong friends here. Children and adults alike seem to really enjoy their experiences here. The music teachers are very helpful and the environment is great.

The Ashokan Center was the wedding venue of our dreams. We knew that we were looking to have a wedding weekend in a rural or wilderness setting where all of our guests could stay on site, unplug, and really enjoy our time together. From the first email with Lisa, Ashokan's wedding coordinator, through every detail during our weekend, the Ashokan staff bent over backward to make our weekend run smoothly and ensure that everyone had a good time. The experience of getting "away from it all" with our guests is one we will always treasure. Knowing that the costs of renting out the Center go towards their amazing environmental education programming made us even more happy to get married there. In short, we can't recommend Ashokan enough. Thank so much to Lisa, James, Bill and everyone else at Ashokan for making our wedding weekend perfect!!

At Ashokan, you step back in time as far as your imagination can take you. You can wander woodland paths to waterfalls carved out during the Devonian period, or experience 19th century crafts. Ashokan hosts summer music camps, nature trips for school groups, and rents facilities for meetings, weddings, etc. Best of all, from a local perspective, are the musical events and performances in a wonderfully intimate setting.

A delightful retreat in the Catskills, the Ashokan Center holds a special place in my heart as the venue of the biannual folk/roots festival, the Hoot. The facilities are clean and up-to-date, the layout convenient, and the staff fabulous and friendly. I highly recommend Ashokan Center and its programming!

The Ashokan Center presents a very calming presence. Many activities are held here, memorial services, weekends for dances camel week long seminars on music and traditional activities.

Beautiful location for any/all their festivities. I personally enjoy the Ukulele Festival in May.

An amazing place I visited a while ago in a 4 th grade trip with my child. Lots of young people very responsible and involved. Very well organized place. I loved it
