Fairwood Park

Nice, well kept grounds. Lots of shade trees too keep you cool, and out of the sun/heat. Loved ir!

Very nice park. We held our son's graduation party in a shelter house there. The bathrooms were clean. The park is for everyone. Watching the skaters was really impressive. Great little hidden gem.

It was fun we were having a Chicken and Fish fry for the beginning of our Family Reunion this weekend!

Fairwoods is a beautiful little park. It's usually clean, not super crowded, and the paths are simply wonderful. The skate park can get a bit messy from time to time, but everyone who goes there is usually very nice and they love to help new skaters. Say hi if you see me! I'm the roller skater with a mullet and long sideburns.

I found Columbus's hidden wonderland in the back of the park. It's a huge field with massive trees making me feel so small in the big picture of earthly things. Places like this only exist in fairy tales and child's imaginations. It's totally worth the journey up the killer hill and the scorching "Hell Road"!

I attended a "public transit" event [sponsored by Sierra Club Ohio and several other organizations] yesterday [9-2-2021] at Fairwood Park.

Approximately twenty of us from all over central Ohio gathered at the covered shelter that is closest to the playground [near the center of the park] to share stories about our experiences of public transit and to strategize for lobbying our congressional representatives and senators to urge them to vote for additional federal funding for public transit.

I had never before been to that neighborhood of Columbus; however, Fairwood Park is easily visible from COTA's #5 bus route so it had been quite simple for me to get there and back.

Obviously, it would have been completely appropriate for a "public-transit-themed" event to be easily accessible via public transit.

Our "public transit" event had included people from other parts of central Ohio as well as people who live in that immediate neighborhood [some of whom had intentionally traveled there in order to be able to attend and some of whom just happened to be in the area when we had convened].

It had been great fun to watch several neighborhood children using the nearby playground while we had been meeting.

I have now provided the correct street address for Fairwood Park to Google Maps. When I had first been researching how best to travel to that location, Google Maps had not had an address for that park which had made it extremely difficult for me to figure out how to get there and back most efficiently.

Now Google Maps has an address for Fairwood Park that hopefully will make it easier for people in the future to find that park.

Lots of activities and they have a skate Park and walking trails. Hidden jem within the city.

Fairwood has, in my opinion, the second best skatepark in Columbus. Friendly to skaters of any skill level. Never gets super busy. 10/10

I frequent this park regularly during the summer and my kids and I enjoy it. They have a new skateboard park for the kids, which my son loves. There is always something going on in the park , bday parties, family reunions etc.

The park is huge. There were several graduation parties happening at the same time and things went smooth and it was great.

This park is really nicer than I expected. There's a playground for the kids & a skateboard area. It's literally within walking distance from me & I had no idea.

Despite looking like an incomplete park waiting for part two, it really is a fun skatepark

Very clean and Nice more amenities. A great place for the neighborhood. The more of us that visit the safer it becomes.

Real nice weather today, walked around the trail. Park was pretty clean, not many people.

It was so fun to swim there but the pool is closed now but the park is still there and it's so quite but be on aware alot of people don't go their so it's always empty it has a shelter and grills.

Really great comfortable spot. Might want to invest in some spray to keep ants and things away for ground sitting. Very enjoyable, overall.

Skateparks are very rare in Columbus
We now have a new land mark just freshly built there still plans on expanding the park so stay tuned and become a local 😉
