Out of the ordinary environment you have to be willing to look past the fact this is in the basement of an industrial park. Looks kind of scary but WOW...food was incredibly good. I will 100% return.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Please read! If you are looking for a cool cozy hidden gem this is the place! I'm going to start off with the service. Service was AMAZING! Our waitress was so ontop of everything! Chef even asked if we enjoyed our food and YES , YES WE ENJOYED OUR FOOD ALOT! I ordered the polish boy and my Partner ordered eggs,pancakes and bacon. The polish boy had coleslaw (slightly sweet) and BBQ sauce on it along with BBQ on the crispy airy REAL French fries. Pancakes were so tasteful and yummy so were the eggs and bacon. If you are a fan of the show "CHEERS" this places gives off a familiar and cozy atmosphere similar to the restaurant/ bar in "Cheers". So cheap and so worth the drive! I provided a picture of the food. It is half eaten but we couldn't contain our selves. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY! YOU WONT REGRET IT!

So unsure how to put this in words, Emilio welcomed us in like family, coffees and hot chocolates were fresh and filled to the brim. When we explained our many food allergies Emilio sprung into action to accommodate. Between the three of us we had a few of the breakfast offerings, pancakes , omelette and Emilio’s own special. (Can I just say yum?!). This meal brought me back to my childhood Sunday mornings with my grandparents. Homefries & eggs cooked to perfection. The biggest Mickey Mouse pancakes my daughter has ever seen &an omelette the size of the plate.
We will be back & plan on making this breakfast a bi monthly family affair as we are from an hour away. Salut ☕

Highly recommend this hidden gem! Food was done well, tasty, fresh and not greasy at all! Had their Reuben sandwich and corn beef sandwich, they were HUGE. Fries were fresh and SO good!! Note that it’s a local restaurant for truck drivers, you might easily miss the entrance(see pictures - owner was at the door saying goodbye ☺). Staffs were super nice and friendly. The owner/chef shared with us it’s the oldest restaurant in Cleveland and the building is over 120-year-old. Come here if you want good comfort food and support local business. Don't be taken aback by it's location & appearance, well worth the hunt to find and the resulting meals. Note: they close early afternoon.

We flew into Cleveland for a quick trip and landed early before we could check in to our hotel. I searched best breakfast in Cleveland and ended up at Maingate. It did not disappoint!!! My husband said the breakfast fries were the best had ever eaten! The owner told us they have been there 28 years and I can see why!! Check it out! Don’t let the location fool ya, it’s fantastic!

Listennnnn if “the best food is at a little hole in the wall restaurant” was a location… this is it!! Do not walk run to this place! The food is DELICIOUS! Let me be clear, when you first pull up your first thought will be “Oh heck naw!” I am not eating here!” Trust me if you don’t stop acting like you ain’t never ate a cheap box of cereal or ran outside with no shoes on get your monkey butt outta that car and walk down them stairs and sat down somewhere you better🥴! You will be glad you did! My husband and I ordered 4 different dishes breakfast burritos, salmon croquettes & rice, spicy chicken wrap and French toast (we’re from out of town) to taste and EVERYTHING was seasoned and on point! My husband is a Pastor and I promise you this food almost made me say bad words🤭. The cleanliness of this place is second to none. When we walked in a lady was wiping down the condiment shelf😳😉…yesss! There was no dust on the ledges of the walls floors were mopped and the bathroom was SO clean I mean pine sol and bleach smelling clean! Toilet and sinks was sparkling clean white! Please don’t let the outside appearance make you miss your food blessing. And the inside reminds me of a diner in my hometown of Asbury Park, NJ.

Great prices, bomb food, made fresh to order, & excellent customer service. I love this spot & have been going here for some years. Try the spicy chicken wrap, chili, & bomb breakfast.

Stopped here with my kids and their friends, they were all very skeptical about it. The food was amazing as well as the service. It is a little dated but clean. We would gladly come back the next time we are passing thru.

I love this place!! Main Gate has the best people who give consistent high-quality service. The food is bangin' and the servings are healthy. You have to walk down stairs to get into the restaurant, but once you're inside be prepared for a great meal in a casual dining atmosphere!! Very homie and inviting.

Also, great roast beef on St. Patrick's day. ^_^

They open early so it's a great spot for breakfast, but they close after lunch time!!

Might be in a weird spot but I've been coming here for 20 years and the food and portions are excellent. The staff are friendly and uplifting. You have to go to this diamond in the rough!!! I promise you that you won't be disappointed!

The best little place for early breakfast or brunch. 26 years and the place is great. The food and prices are good, not a bad dish in the place.

Blown away by this place, super cozy and welcoming staff! Salmon croquettes were very yummy (and filling!!)

The breakfast Gyro Special is Amazing.
And the coffee is really good too.
They also have Wi-Fi.

Don't be afraid to walk in! The food is most excellent and the husband wife that own the place are some of the greatest you won't be disappointed👍

Service was amazing! They were the nicest people. The food was old American breakfast style with big portions (exactly what we wanted). Not a fancy place but fine by us.
