I have a cat who has required a lot of vet care in his young life. I recently moved to Issaquah and so this is my first experience with Meadows Cat Hospital. And I'm blown away. By the care, the compassion, the kindness of all the staff and they willingness of Dr. George to spend SO much time explaining everything so carefully. And for being so thorough and maybe even finding a way to prevent more vet visits! Everyone I dealt with there went above and beyond. And I'm just so very grateful. My kitty is now sleeping it off and we're a thankful household tonight.

We brought our 2 cats here from 2014 - 2022. The staff was always professional. Billing is transparent with any questions immediately answered. As our cats got older and had more health challenges, the visits became more frequent. The staff always spent time to answer any questions we had. In many cases, we were able to bring our cats in on the same day we called. Dr. George and Dr. Proctor cared deeply for both the cats and us. This is the best vet we have worked with.

I came here for a second opinion on my poor kitty’s condition and it was found that she had cancer. Dr. Masoero was very helpful, providing answers to all my questions and supporting me through the end stages of my cat’s life. She called to check up on us multiple times and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The whole staff were so kind and caring through the process, I’m so grateful to the front desk ladies that answered my many calls and emails over the weeks as I tried to make my kitty comfortable. She has since passed at home but I will always remember the care we received here and the kindness that touched my heart. ❤

What I love about this place is the over focus on well being of the animals. Sometimes you deal with a business and you really prefer not to be bothered. When it comes to your animals, the ones you decided to care for? no amount of care is too much. Meadows hospital, I believe operates exactly on that principle. I get so many updates, check ins and assistance, I am a 150% sure my kitty is taken care off. It's genuinely a carrying practice. I would recommend then to anyone with a cat a 100% of the time.

BEST CAT VET! They are so knowledgeable, kind, helpful and genuinely care. My kitty was so sick and they clearly explained everything to me and saved his life. I recently moved to LA and struggling to find a vet who can help his issues now. I literally cried wishing meadows cat hospital moved with me. I’ve also been calling them constantly to get his prescription and records sent all around and they’ve been so helpful and quick with that. Thank you so much meadows cat hospital for taking the best care of my cat. Words can’t even describe how missed you are since I moved away.

After my last cat died at our old vet (not at meadows) the vet looked at my grieving dad and said “I do not really like cats.” After that experience he recommended I find a place that specializes in cats once we adopted our buddy. Dr. George is incredibly knowledgeable and has help us to stabilize his early onset kidney failure. There is a lot of stuff out there about treating dogs and the same methods are used on cats. In reality, they are VERY different creatures. Dr George is willing to brain storm solutions and think outside the box. Chacha is very grateful for them too :)

Dr. Sparks was a gem. Meadows Cat Hospital is a lovely facility. It was quiet, and my senior kitty was at ease. I appreciate the help and work that was performed and look forward to making this Bookee's permanent vet. Cat Tax Below.

Bring your cat here! My cat Cyrus is a bit of an odd case, with a few rare illnesses that took time to diagnose. Dr. Masoero and the whole team have been so kind to me and to Cyrus! I love how they take time to explain everything, give options, and are well-connected to specialists for additional diagnostics.

Having a cat-only clinic makes going to the vet much nicer for Cyrus, too! Thank you, Meadows Cat Hospital, for supporting Cyrus and I through this strange medical journey.

The entire team at Meadows Cat Hospital is wonderful! One of our cats, Ziggy, has every disorder/disease/syndrome he can. Dr. Sparks, Dr. George, and the entire front desk/medical staff put up with our constant phone calls, emails, and appointments to keep him healthy and happy. They have worked miracles on our little boy. I cannot speak highly enough of this hospital!

After switching vets several times and had a lot of bad experience with the vets in the area, I finally found Meadows and even though it's a bit far from my place, I still take my cats here because it's so worth it. When one of my cats had really bad diarrhea, they were fully booked but still tried to see him in between appointments so I didn't have to bring him to the ER and pay a huge bill. My kittens were neutered at Meadows yesterday and they came back as if nothing happened! They ate and played as soon as they came home. The neuter site was very clean and minimal compared to my old cat when I brought him to a different vet to neuter (before I knew about Meadows). I feel like Meadows truly care about my cats. When I had to put my cat down at Meadows, the staff were all comforting me which made me feel much better. Whenever I have concerns, they always answer thoroughly. I only have positive things to say about Meadows. Thank you so much for taking great care of my cats!

We have been going to Meadows Cat Hospital for about 7 years. Dr. George and her clinic really treat their cat patients like a member of their own family.

Like our cat family, Meadows cat Hospital has grown. Over the years Meadows continues to maintain their high level of quality, standards, and expectations.

We have full confidence in Dr. George, her staff, and clinic.

Thank you for the many years of care and cheers to the many more. ❤

Would recommend this place to any/all cat owners!! Everyone is super nice, and truly cares about each and every (cat) patient they see. So happy to have found this vet and team at Meadows Cat Hospital! The doctors are excellent and have spayed both my cats as well as taken care of other health issues. The people here genuinely care and it shows!!

One of my cats had to be hospitalized for 2 days for a mystery illness and she received excellent care. The meadows team is extremely thorough and compassionate, they kept me well updated on my cats condition through out her hospitalization. They empathetically answered all of my many questions. They were very upfront and honest about all costs involved with her stay and walked me through why they thought each procedure was necessary. I have been a client of theirs for a while but after seeing how wonderful they were in a medical emergency I will never take my cats anywhere else.

A fantastic, professional and caring team! I highly recommend Meadows Cat Hospital! This was my first visit to Meadows (10/3) when my cat unexpectedly stopped eating and had troubles using the restroom on a Saturday morning. In a pinch I called around and inquired about good local vet clinics, I was referred to Meadows Cat Hospital.

While I didn't have an appointment (always highly suggested) I was in an emergency situation and met them at the front door right as they opened. I was greeted at the front door and kindly asked about my cats symptoms. Here's the moment I knew I would continue to take my cat here - while they couldn't give me an appointment they made room to allow me to keep Mama Kitty onsite and assist her the moment they could diagnose and treat her condition. I was and still am incredibly grateful.

They stayed in close correspondence with me, took amazing care of my cat and continued to follow up with her progress thereafter. Pricing was well explained, reasonable and I didn't feel pressured or "sales pitched" to do any more than what was needed for my cats health. My cat was relaxed and happy when she was returned to me.

I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital to any feline parents out there! Thank you Meadows team for your kindness and support. We look forward to our next (non-emergency) visit.

The reason I even ended up trying this vet is because the one I was going to was extremely unhelpful and nearly impossible to get to speak to a vet. It was one problem after another and so despite the convenience of its location I decided to go somewhere else. With so many vet not even taking new patients these days I had to call around. I finally found this vet, which is a decent drive for me, at least 30 minutes each way but they could get me in and were very helpful on the phone. My experience with dr masoero was night and day to my previous vet. She was very thorough with my cats exam and questions to me, we talked about possibilities and what steps to take next if the current treatment didn’t do the trick. Along with that all of the office staff were friendly and helpful and even called to check in with me a few days after the appointment to see how things were going. After my last experience the communication was hugely appreciated and I will absolutely continue to bring both cats here despite the drive as I do not believe I would receive as thorough of medical care nor as good of administrative service at another office. Not to mention with the cost of vet care I believe their prices are very reasonable in comparison with other local vets. Highly recommend for all cat owners.

Dr Laura George DVM and her husband Dr. Nicholas George, PhD, are a wonderful team! Their authentic and excellent healing skills and ethos are badly needed in the local area pet health world. They took over Meadows Cat Hospital from Dr Laramore in 2016-2017, and my cat, Fafnir, and I are so very grateful, if we could give ten stars, we would.

Backtrack to 2010, when the previous vet (Laramore) had made a terrible mistake with Fafnir which almost cost us his life, and the treatment of which affected my health, as well as cost a lot of money so we never went back. Fast forward to Winter 2017 - Dr's George & George went through the medical records of all the patients, and also saw my previous review, and knew they had to do something to right the situation. (Their words to me; not mine.) They reached out to me, despite the fact that they had nothing to do with Dr Laramore's mistake, and weren’t responsible for what had happened in 2010, yet they wanted to make it up to us. As it happens, Fafnir had just been diagnosed in November 2016 with small bowel lymphoma by Dr Schreiner at Blue Pearl/ACCES who was just about the only vet I have really trusted since the 2010 incident.
(He's an internal specialist.)

Fafnir and I have now seen Dr George twice in the last month, and we are so grateful for Dr George’s expertise, and Dr Nick's bedside manner. They are helping me keep Fafnir’s quality of life high, while he endures this fatal illness (which is inoperable). Last month was a free one hour consult where Dr George was super helpful and we got some refills.

Today, Fafnir got into a cat or raccoon fight, and was so whiny and acted like he was hurt so bad that I could barely touch him. It turned out to be a bad scratch on his back (the cancer makes him more sensitive and in pain) so Dr George and I both agreed he need to be sedated so he could actually be examined, and then administered medications as needed including pain meds. We also got a courtesy nail trim, and some grooming (clumps and goosegrass!) while he was zonked out. I can tell Fafnir was much happier about the good drugs and treatment he received and must also mention that Fafnir is now considered a VIP now at Meadows, so he gets top of the line amazing treatment, and the offer of free office visits plus discounted (at cost, I think) meds for the rest of his life. I can’t thank them enough for coming to my aid at this time of our lives when Fafnir needs more veterinary attention, and I am too finding it stressful emotionally and financially. They really are angels in our lives when we need them, and I’m amazed that there are some vets out there with the outstanding ethics as well as expert healing skills and bedside manner. (They both really know their animal medicine!)

To sum up, we have in the past 11 years, tried many other vets in the Issaquah, Redmond and Renton area, and Meadows Cat Hospital stands out radiantly amongst all others, even the ones that have extremely good reviews. They understand how precious Fafnir is to me, and they’ve gained my trust which is such a big deal! (I’m a Biologist so I tend to be very involved in knowing as much as I can to help take care of my beloved boy.)

Thank you, Dr George and Dr Nick so much for all you’ve done so far to help! Fafnir is super grateful too, (purring now we're home and feeling much better) and we are looking at ways to keep him safe but so he can enjoy his backyard in his final months or years. Here's a photo from 2015 when he was in his prime. :)

I ran across Meadows after my beloved cat friend of 18 years died and I needed cremation and didn't know where to turn. They were (and are) amazing. The comments about their compassion are spot on. We were surprised to meet a three month old kitten last weekend who has some health issues and everything about Meadows is the pinnacle of caring, compassionate, and competent. I am so grateful to have my baby in their care, and can't give a higher recommendation or possibly adequately express how grateful I am for them 🙂.
