Some beautiful scenery dude. God paints some spectacular picturesque scenes around the East Side and this is absolutely one of them.

Big fan of Grand Ridge. Having been running out there for many years. Has lots of good climbs and beautiful forest. More and more people use it these days, which I don't love, but it's good to see people getting outside. It's great for running, hiking, and mountain biking and only 15-20 mins from Seattle.

Excellent natural area with many trailheads and trails. There are several wooden bridges and boardwalks. There are many stands of Western Redcedar and Douglas Fir. There are several new loops and great places to run. There is minimal parking and no restroom facilities.

Just east of the Issaquah Highlands is a 7-mile multi purpose trail on 1200 forested acres for wildlife and nature preservation and public recreation. The forest elevation rises 1100 feet so it's an easy and mild climb for people breaking in new hiking gear or for hikers recovering post acute injuries or even surgeries. It's only 35-45 minutes drive from Seattle but be mindful that it connects to the Duthie Hill mountain bike park, so i wouldn't recommend bringing a large group or small kids for hiking here because there are more mountain bikers than people on foot, and not all of them wear bells.
There are multiple entry points to the park that are described on their website. The trail itself is extremely well maintained by volunteers, and you'll be surrounded by Douglas firs and western red cedars, while getting to walk or bike across a few small bridges and salmon stream. It doesn't really have a vista view, but it's a forest for some light short day outdoor activity nonetheless for people on the move who don't want to drive over an hour to get outdoorsy.

I don't know what the trails were like before, but it appears that a lot of trail maintenance has gone on here in the past few months. It is a really fun ride or run (or hike) and there was a good amount of thought that went into the trail design to give it flow. This would be one of the long point-to-point mountain bike trails in the immediate area, whereas all the other mountain biking areas on the Eastside are more like mountain bike parks with several short trails.

Really nice trail network. Can get over 16 miles if you work through all the loops. Fairly steep climb from the I 90 trail head. Beautiful boardwalk on the north side of the trail.

This is a great trail system. Just make sure you get to it through a public access. Old BLack Nugget Road is a two mile long single lane PRIVATE Rd with no public parking or access! Try accessing where it crosses Issaquah-Fall City road or Grand Ridge Drive. There's plenty of parking at Duthie Hill Park.

Wonderful training trail to get climbing and descending practice for mountain biking and hiking. Trails stay more rideable in the fall because of the leafblowing efforts.

Great trails. Very quiet, you typically pass only a few people on a ride here, but it's a great xc trail!

Long, beautiful, well-maintained trail which maintains a delicate balance of respect between hikes/runners and mountain bikers with or without furry companions.

Great forested trail network! Hikers and trail runners, be prepared to dodge a bike whizzing downhill. "RUNNER UP!!"
