A wonderful stop on the drive between Oregon and California. Great people, beautiful house and rooms, great breakfast, three reservable Tesla chargers. Dog friendly. 👌 one of my favourite bed and breakfast’s. We’ve stayed vere twice now, and will again.

This is an extremely special place. Such a beautiful relaxing feel. They thought of everything it seems (robes, sound machine, bath salts, cookies, etc) We stayed in the sleeping porch that was so spacious with a cozy fireplace. The breakfast was incredible. Make sure you stay here.

The McCall house exceeded our expectations. Mary and the staff took good care of us and fed us well. This historic house has been well taken care of and kept as original as possible. Some of the furniture and 'artifacts' are from the McCalls.
It's the only home of its kind left in Oregon. It entertained many dignitaries incl. Pres. Hayes and Gen. Sherman.
I didnt take many photos cuz I was staying as low tech as possible on this trip with my wife so I could stay in the moment.

Just spectacular. Honestly such an enjoyable experience staying at the McCall House I highly recommend! This is a must stay when visiting Ashland.

The service was on a whole another level, with the staff not hesitating to accommodate to my many dietary restrictions and even leaving me with delicious Vegan/GF home baked cookies.

I stayed in the Captain & Lizzie McCall Suite and it was worth every penny. The claw-foot tub was true luxury, not to mention the electric fireplace and the portrait style smart tv were a real treat. The bed is also enormous and is very comfortable.

The location is prime, being within just steps of the Shakespeare festival and local town.

Overall, I felt like royalty and would come back to Ashland specifically just to stay here again.

This place is amazing! Great rooms, amazing breakfast, and even good coffee. Super friendly staff. We had the high tea which was a ton of fun and I would highly recommend it. Located a block from the plaza so restaurants, shopping, and the theater are all about a five-minute walk. Next time we go to the Shakespeare festival we will be staying here again.

Beautiful 140 year old mansion. We had the master room which was huge and very comfortable. Service was outstanding as was our breakfast. Walking distance to everything.

Where to begin? The location was perfect - a block from the theatre! The service was exceptional - they attended to our every need and breakfast was delicious. The rooms were exquisitely appointed and so, so comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. You all were awesome! We’ll be back!

Easy walking distance to Shakespeare, Lithia Park, and downtown Ashland. Breakfast is nice, and chef provided a surprise 40th birthday treat for my wife after our afternoon walk.

We had no idea such a beautiful place existed in Ashland. We were passing through and needed to rest for one night, so we called this place with good reviews and made a reservation. The staff is extremely friendly. We were traveling with children and wanted two queen beds, but the receptionist recommended the carriage house, which had two king beds and two rooms offered us with the same price. Lauxiurious and well-kept. We were treated like royalty, with delicious breakfast and coffee. I don't think I'll stay anywhere else if I continue to travel along that route.

I really loved my brief stay at the McCall House. So many personal touches and accommodations for late check in. It was more of an experience than just a hotel /bnb stay. It felt nostalgic as it reminded me of the Victorian style homes back east I stay in when visiting relatives. The antique furniture and fine details were really special. Breakfast was exceptional, location and parking can’t be beat.

Only note I would make is that it is an old house, so the walls are not sound proof. You can hear guests walking down the hallway or up the stairs, and potentially, from inside their rooms on an adjacent wall. I didn’t hear or watch TV but I’m sure if I had, It would have been heard by the other guests. So if you’re a young couple honeymooning, privacy may be something to keep in mind.
Looking forward to visiting Ashland and staying here again!

We had a lovely one night at The McCall House. It is a beautiful older building that is very well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was so comfortable and the bed was like a dream. We had a delicious breakfast with lots of warm coffee. We will be coming back and for more than one night. Highly recommended!

We always love staying at the McCall House, such a wonderful space and excellent service. We were sad to see some of the updates made to the rooms and common spaces. Feels as though it lost some of the historical charm and elegance, especially in the President Hayes room which was one of our favorites. Loved the Lydia McCall room. Still a great place to stay in Ashland.

We would travel to Ashland just to stay at this B&B! 🙂 Besides being beautifully appointed, it feels luxurious and the service is world-class. Attention to detail and the care of guests is obvious in everything! Thank you, McCall House staff for a wonderful stay two weekends in a row!

We came here last year for our anniversary. My wife loved the claw foot tub in the master suite. Very kind staff and your can tell they care. Giselle was there last time, and I'm so glad she was still there to welcome us again this year. A fine bed and breakfast experience!

We were warmly greeted by the innkeeper Michelle and given an informative tour of the house, with interesting stories about its origins and the family who settled here. The Inn is conveniently located near town and the Shakespeare Festival Theatres and beautiful Lithia Park. Lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed and pillows, and the bath had a huge walk-in shower, a real treat in an older home. The public rooms are beautifully decorated in period pieces. Breakfast was tasty served in the formal dining room with other guests. Highly recommend the McCall House.

We stayed for 4 wonderful days at McCall House. We felt like we were at home. Loved to get up in the middle of the nite and sit in the front room by the fire to read. Linda who runs the kitchen made our stay incredible. She is a wonderful hostess and the food she made was gourmet. Yummy. Always made cookies for the day by the coffee or tea area. We hated to leave and have gladly made this place one of our home away from home stays! Thanks to everyone who works there and made our stay unforgettable! Debby 💁❤

My wife and I spent a lovely night at McCall house in the Rutherford B Hayes room. The home was lovely and elegant, our room eminently comfortable and welcoming. We spent time in the evening by the fire in the drawing room downstairs, reading and visiting. In the morning we enjoyed a sumptuous feast of a breakfast, everything freshly made and delicious. Conversation with the other guests was delightful and engaging! Daniel the host was gracious and accommodating. We will definitely return, and have suggested to our adult children that they should bring their spouses and go too! As an aside, we live in Ashland and this was a lovely diversion from being in our home.

I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I absolutely loved and McCall house every room has a different feel. We stayed in the sitting porch or sun porch the one with all the windows I absolutely had the best night sleep in this room. The only drawback to this room was the clawfoot tub was way too small for my husband.
To be honest I probably will never stay in a motel unless I have my kids with me I will be looking for bed and breakfasts is from this point out.
My first impression of this amazing house was the attention to detail. It was also located just on the edge of downtown Ashland or we were able to get out and walk around and enjoy Lithia Park as well. If you're going to The Shakespearean experience I would definitely recommend staying at this bed and breakfast.
Thank you to Linda for an amazing breakfast.
We were part of the 1st rock painting at the McCall house.
Keep an eye out for the next rock painting party.
Thanks Linda & John McCall

Very enjoyable visit. Wonderful accommodations. We had a party of 10 and used 3 rooms. They let us set up in the dinning room to eat some lunch and play cards! We also asked for restaurant recommendations and they made our reservations for us. Great location and no need to use the car once we got there. Everything within walking distance especially the theatre! Hope to be back soon for another visit and relaxing vacation!

I loved my brief stay at the McCall house. This bed and breakfast is a well maintained historic gem with quaint gardens. The room was beautiful and clean. Can't wait to visit Ashland again.
