Ashland Food Co-op

This place is amazing. I used to live in SF and would only shop at Rainbow Grocery because it was so wonderful. This place is a lot like Rainbow. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A mom was feeling sick and the staff stepped up to provide support for her and her son. It was beautiful.

This store has the best mandarin oranges and a wide variety of foods for being so small. They are pricey but so is every other store in this valley and I find that their items are worth it unlike the other places. The employees are friendly and laidback too. For their deli food, I recommend the Turkish garbanzo bean salad! I can’t recommend the tempeh salad (it tasted a bit off) or the artichoke dip (hard pieces in it) but these issues might be a one-time thing.

Had the vegetarian version. Had the hot pinto bean and cheese burrito. Felt like a good value because the weight was over half a pound easy. Great flavor!! Excellent vegan option everywhere.

The Ashland Food Co-Op is basically the Whole Foods of Ashland. It's really nice inside. The aisles are spotless and they have a large holistic medicine section. On top of the regular brands you'd expect to see, they have some interesting cheeses and organic cooked chicken options. There is a coffee shop and eating area inside in case you want to do a lunch or snack there. It's definitely worth checking out if you want to pick up some specialty items that the other grocery stores might not carry.

My first time was a positive experience! Friendly folks, decent selection and the beauty care bulk is essential to keeping single-use plastics out of landfills. 🫶🏻 Also, their plants are amazing! We always see cool stuff, in Ashland. Next time, I’ll make a day of it. 🙂

Produce was amazing- every veggie looking a size larger than usual, abundant & the colors were so bright & vibrant!

Great to have such an excellent healthy food resource. I found evening I was looking for, prepared food, bottled drinks, organic food and holistic medicine.

The MGMT and staff are like extended family. It is so charming to have developed a relationships with so many employees there it is different experience shopping here. I am incredibly grateful for this nourishing environment.
From the strong support of local producers of food and crafts, and monthly fundraisers for local nonprofit to carrying the BEST produce & providing a deliciously diverse organic Deli/Hot bar & the ONLY ready to go organic rotisserie chicken in the valley there are SO MANY reasons to vote with my $ here.

I've been coming here my entire life, and I absolutely love this place. They have great deli food, lots of groceries, good service, and a great atmosphere. 5 starsw

Fantastic, thoughtful selection of goods and products, and friendly staff. They even have recycling - something so difficult to find on a road trip.

I like to go to local grocery stores when traveling, so tried out the Ashland Food Co-op. Their selection is great, also have a salad bar, pizza, soups. It felt like a cute local grocery store, and when visiting it will be a go to stop.

I love this place. It's small and expensive but unique. I love the fresh cut flowers and produce. The bouquets aren't typical of store bought flowers and are unique. The fruit and veg range from the mundane to the more exotic. It's a good place to find products that aren't in the average store and the quality is good. I like the range of local products that are for sale. Lastly, the buffet is good! Not only is the food fresh and delicious, but there's a lot of variety.

Told by a local was a good place to go... got everything I needed, lots of healthy products/selection, busker outside playing a tune...

Best wellness section of any store I've ever been to. Extremely knowledgeable guy in wellness. Wellness section is among the best in terms of products. Cashier's are mostly friendly and welcoming. Customer service is severely lacking/borderline terrible....long lines, come across as impatient after you have waited 20+ minutes. Most times I wait so long that I just end up leaving. One person to help. I wish the produce had more knowledge on their products but it's still better than your average store. One produce lady is excellent!! Others fall short significantly. The smoke salmon is terrible bland and dry. Don't recommend the brands that they carry. Some customers are very rude and entitled. So you have to ignore or call out. Cut you off or run into you without saying excuse me. This lady/worker seems very uncomfortable with me in wellness. She looks and monitors but never asks how's I doing or if she can help? Is it because I'm of color? I should have given a lower score ex. 4 but I hate giving a lower score when I think the few bad apples are outnumbered by good apples.

Great options, good service. And a house made hummus that's fantastic.

Great clean organic options. This co-op is a certain destination for me around this area. Parking may need patience, wheelchair accessible, outside and inside dining. There is salad bar, hot foods like roasted veggies and wild rice and much MORE. Restrooms are always clean and tidy, staff is very helpful. Stop by and 😉 enjoy!

The Ashland Food Co-op has been a cornerstone of the community and continues to be a meeting place for locals as well as those just passing through. The co-op is a one stop shop that has fresh organic foods mainly from local farms, hot/cold bar, full service deli with a menu to order on the go and so much more... This is one of my favorite places to stop for breakfast or lunch when I’m driving back and forth between California and Washington. They have a great hot and cold food bar selection, a great selection if fruits and vegetables as well. Ashley is such a beautiful town and a great place to stop and take a break no matter what time of the year.
