I’m surprised to see so many bad reviews of this hospital. My family has never had a bad experience here. We recently had to bring our 3 year old son in and I’m so glad we did. They rushed him right back after taking his vitals and seeing his oxygen was low. They started immediately caring for him to get him stabilized. After testing, which was done very promptly, it was determined he had pneumonia and an infection in the lungs. We were then transported to Rogue Regional so he could be admitted. The care we received while at three rivers was great, we truly felt like everyone really cared about our son. They were quick to update us with results which was greatly appreciated. We have had several other positive experiences here also.

I went in for a kidney stone, and by some miracle, the ER was empty. They got me through triage right into a room. The nurses were all amazing they got me out of pain super fast, and all the tests were done quickly. I was out of pain and on my way home within a couple of hours. This made a very unpleasant situation much more bearable. Thanks so much to the ER team that was on duty the night of January 30th.

Got into a pretty gnarly car accident a few days ago and left me with a broken pelvis and fractures in my spine. I’ve never had more caring, amazing nurses in my life. You all are amazing here. Thank you so much.

I was there for an MRI, check in was easy and quick. Staff was friendly and helpful. The technicians, Lisa and Rita were very professional and took the time to answer any questions I had. They guided me through every step of the procedure by letting me know what to expect and how long each step would last, which I really appreciate. I got my result in less than an hour. Thank you so much to all the staff and technicians.

I can not imagine why or how this hospital has such a low rating unless the only reviews come from people who are/were upset about the wait time in the Emergency Room - which, to be fair, nobody likes the wait time at any hospital across the world because we’re human and the nature of the word emergency is urgent…unfortunately when there are many urgent patients every hospital has to work on a triage system of “life or death to stubbed toe”

That being said, I unfortunately have found myself spending a lot of time vacationing at Three Rivers Hospital since the beginning of 2023. Congenital Heart Failure in its end stages can do that to a person.

I have to say that I have felt extremely well cared for, supported, cared for, helped to understand exactly what is going on with my body and future, well refer, very well followed up on and in my multiple stays of up to 10 days I felt the staff was positive, had overwhelming empathy and compassion while staying with in their medical capabilities. I never felt ignored, like a bother, frustrated, embarrassed or stranded, something I can not say I have ever experienced in other hospitals I have been in over my lifetime. There always seems to be a time as a patient you feel stranded (in the bathroom, trying to get to the bathroom, trying to get untangled from your monitor leads and no one is answering your nurse call button… NOT HERE, I never had that issue at Three Rivers Hospital.

I would send everyone I know here to be treated, even my beloved and ultra precious little grandchildren, because I trust this hospital with my life.

I’d recommend this hospital!

We are new to the area and my son required a trip to the ER about a week ago and it’s the only hospital in town. The reviews really scared me but we gave it a try anyway and I’m glad we did. The wait in the ER was a couple hours but this is pretty normal considering they can only handle so many patients at once and they have to take the most critical first. But after we were finally called to the back it was the best experiences we’ve ever had in an ER. All nurses and the doctor we saw were so caring, friendly and professional. It was an incredible experience, top level service all the way. Im so glad we didn’t just skip and drive all the way out to Medford instead.

Just wow. I’m beyond pleased with the care I was given. Not only was I taken in quick, but the care and professional nurtuing I was given almost blew my mind. Coming from CA, the healthcare is very different. I just couldn’t say enough good things about this place. My provider was Carly. I’m sad I don’t remember her MA’s name, but they truly love what they do.

I had knee replacement surgery at this hospital on May 5, 2022, and I could not say one bad thing about this hospital or the staff in general. From the moment I entered the Surgery Center, I was greeted and placed into a pre-OP room where I was given a warming blanket, because, of course, one is somewhat apprehensive about going thru a surgery. The nurse that took care of me was the most caring and professional person I have ever met, and the rest of the staff were kind and friendly and after my Doctor Cowley, came into to visit for a few minutes, that is all I remember. I woke up in a post-OP room where I was cared for and given a sandwich. I eventually was taken to an area where I had to walk up and down a few stairs and was monitored to make sure I could leave the hospital. I had to stay with a friend for a week because you are not allowed to go home alone nor are you allowed (per Dr Cowley) to be placed in a care facility mainly due to covid or possibility of infections. I have had many, many instances to visit this hospital. I have had labs and tests done here and I cannot find one instance where the staff was not the most courteous and professional people I have ever met. I have lived in Grants Pass for almost 6 years, coming from So. Cal. (And I loved Ca. where I lived for 48 years and was a realtor for 38 years) BUT, as the sign downtown says (and it should be changed) its NOT the climate, its THE PEOPLE!

My husband had a potentially fatal illness that was caught on CAT scan, quickly diagnosed by ATRH ER- immediately admitted & operated on by board certified surgeon, all within 5 hours. He would have been dead in 2 days without the excellent care he received here. I’m so very grateful to the ER, surgical staff and his care on the 3rd floor hospital wing. I have been treated with great care and respect at every contact.

The staff were courteous and listened to my concerns. Wait times were reasonable and the atmosphere was very professional. They collaborated with me on a treatment plan and made sure I was comfortable with the entire treatment process. Staff ensured I had access to follow up resources before they discharged me. I highly recommend TRMC for emergency treatment.

About 8 months ago I had been in the hospital for emergency care, and yesterday as an outpatient. On both occasions my treatment has been outstanding. When leaving the hospital there is no better feeling than that those who treated me really cared about my welfare. They are the best!

I came in on a Saturday morning at 10am with pancreatitis, I was called to the back in 5 minutes. Saw the doctor within 10. Immediately got labs and pain medication. Believe it or not, I had to be admitted and got a bed in 2 HOURS! SUPER FAST! Reading other reviews I can tell that each experience will be different from the next, but ALL of mine have been positive. Plus covid has made it so fewer people come into the ER out of fear. I had to stay in the ICU for 4 days with pancreatitis and the staff treated me like family. I will say that they are tough on drug seekers, but if you have actual pain they are not stingy at all. I've been all over the country and have to say this is in my top 3 hospital experiences.

I had an emergency appendectomy at Three Rivers, while vacationing in Oregon at Christmas time. I am surprised at the negative reviews. This hospital is very clean and very well staffed. The doctors and nurses are compassionate and very professional. I was never lacking in anything I needed. The room I had was private (and I have an HMO) complete with a private shower. The food was excellent (try finding that at most hospitals) and you are given food choices, not just brought a tray of food. Anyone who thinks their treatment at Three Rivers was not good should try a big-city county-operated hospital and then make a comparison.

I never had any issues with this hospital. They've treated me well. I had throat cancer, and everybody has been extremely nice and supportive.

I am so pleased with the care nurse Megan and the whole team here has given to my brother. My brother has been homeless for 9 years. The medical industry has been horrible to him. The team here has shown him love and support!

My family had the unfortunate experience of going through a car accident last thursday; and I feel so blessed that this is the hospital we wound up at. From the time my Fiance showed up at the hospital(ahead of me) they were quickly taken care of and brought into the ER room; once I arrived (not more than ten minutes later) the ER shuffled people around to get me into the room next to my daughter and fiance.

They almost had to send us to a plastic surgeon in Medford for my daughter's care; but the plastic surgeon Dr. Huffaker took one look at a photo of her injury and not only did her surgery there; but he also got his schedule moved around so they could do her surgery at 5pm rather than waiting until 9pm (the accident happened around 9am)

All the staff were so amazing, kind, and sensitive to our family and the trauma we had just endured. Everyone from the ER to surgeons to 3rd floor staff!!!

My family was so thankful to receive our care here versus our local hospital in the area we love.

I recently had an emergency medical issue that resulted in being admitted to the 3rd floor. I received excellent care from the time I came to the hospital until I was discharged. The nursing staff was wonderful! The doctor was caring and took the time to talk with my wife and I and addressed any of our concerns. Thank you Dr. Lightfoot, Lauren, Jessica, and Mckenzie for making this stressful event easier to handle. And thank you so much to my nurses for the thank you card they sent me after I was discharged! What a nice, wonderful surprise! The personal notes from each of you really touched us. Thank you again for everything.
