Bobby is definitely a God sent working here. Truly a humble hearted compassionate man, and I love how he is transparent no matter the situation. Definitely wears his heart on his sleeve but sticks to the rules for his position 100% which is probably why some reviews claim him as intimidating. I promise you, if you don't see the good nature this man possesses then maybe you need to take a good look at yourself. I received the opposite experience on what I hoped and prayed on with help for housing, but in all honesty Bobby made my experience a blessing even still. He let me know what I needed to do moving forward and even though he knew there was nothing he could do for me then, he still spent time giving me hope and guidance, when he could have easily just dismissed me all together. That to me speaks volumes about the great human being he is. I will always appreciate Bobby!

Bev and staff are truly the friendliest most helpful group of people you could ask for when needing assistance or guidance. I can't say enough great things about Bobby or Bev especially. I've already submitted a review on Bobby awhile back, but when entering the Housing Authority again today, I was so thankful for how proactive Bev was with providing me with information I needed. I came in on a leap of faith, with no appointment, and she was just as welcoming and kind as could be. I cant help but to carry continual gratitude for the people at the Boone County Housing Authority. 🙌

Bobby was great at the briefing, he was funny and just down to earth. He talked about family, friends and life situations. If you have ever had an issue with Bobby it’s probably because you were the issue 😄. Keep up the good work BOBBY!

Bobby Barnes and the whole team are fantastic. Mr. Barnes made the meeting informative and quite enjoyable. I laughed pretty good and enjoyed his life lessons that related to the experiences we will have!

I am receiving the housing voucher through Boone County for the second time in my life and I will say that Bobby can be a bit intimidating but I have learned that he is just a very intelligent man who has been in the business for many years, therefore, if you are not honest with him, he knows, and if you give him a reason (without knowingly doing so) to be a little unpleasant, he will be. His job is not to make it easy for you to do your part in the process.

Also, he is very funny and light hearted in the briefing. At that time, you really get to know that he is a real person just doing his job.

Had a wonderful time being at briefing. I dont know why people find Bobby Barnes intimidating but he is a really great person. Lots of laughs

Staff are friendly. They are a awesome help. Bobby was very helpful. The lady at the front was also very very amazing. I love thus place. They will help you in any way they can if you ask.

Staff is a tad bit mean. But they help people. But be warned... It seems as if they guy has no filter . i understand dealing with people all day begging for help but wish they was a little nicer. They dont care what your situation is. I think they all look at us as low lives.

Definitely not any help whatsoever if your a male you might as well forget asking for help the guy even denied my papers for autism that I do indeed have we even rescheduled just so I hand morectime of getting in contact of my prior physician. Told me I’m the very person to apply for it independently in 40 years or something waste of everyone’s time frfr

I am a mother of small children fleeing a domestic violence situation. I was herded in by a bald, overweight, middle aged guy. He clearly hates his job and seemed to have a huge problem with me even being there. He was not only zero help but very rude. Just another miserable Caucasian male. He needs a new job, one that requires no personality or people skills.
