Southland Park

This is a fantastic park. It is small and located in a neighborhood. The pool is one of the best. They have a water slide, a kiddie pool, a splash pad, and diving boards. They also have a concession stand. The prices have gone up just a little but still overall affordable. You can also bring your own food, drinks and snacks in to the pool. Their playground was redone a few years ago and is fantastic. They also have tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a walking trail.

Hidden gem we just found out about and we have lived nearby for 10 years. My 2 year old had a blast. Tons of space and playground equipment. Will have to come back and check out the aquatic center, it looks amazing.

Loved this place was awesome! Had great granddaughters birthday party here. Restrooms right there under the Shelter. Play park area right next to it. Pay pool swim area beside it .

This is a spot. Playground equipment NEW and unique. Nice, quiet place to chill.

Great little playground with plenty of shade. Fun for littlest ones- plenty of safe play for toddlers. A good shelter with clean bathrooms is very close to the playground.
There is also a tennis court and baseball field. The aquatic center is a lot of fun, with water features and slides. Kids love to come here.

We love Southland Park. This was the first time I saw it after the renovation. I was shocked that the old playground area is now a retention basin! I love the new, updated playground. It is much safer for children. I love the nature signs that share facts about native Kentucky plants and animals.

This park is perfect, especially for parents with multiple kids at different age ranges. I can easily watch my younger two kids on BOTH little & big kid playground while also watching my oldest two play tennis on the court! All within very close proximity to me.

This park contains our favorite pool in town, which is open from around Memorial Day to Labor Day more or less. It is actually two pools, as there is one for young children and another for big kids and adults. Both pools have some water features and the bigger pool even has a water slide.

In addition to a great aquatics center, the park has a couple of baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, and a huge playground. Parking can get full on a hot summer's day, but that's a good sign, right?

One of the best parks in Lexington. A lot of land to explore. There is a paved path that circumnavigates the entire park, great for walking and running. A great disc golf course for beginners and experts. A great, old school playground for children and adventurous adults.

Great little family location with pool, playground and ball fields. A hidden gem within the city.

Great pool for the summer time. The playground is nice for both small and older children. There is basketball, a shelter, and two ball fields.
