Pet Vet – Roanoke

My oldest cat was showing symptoms of a sinus infection. They were able to get him in the same day within an hour of me calling. Everyone there was super friendly and reassuring and knowledgeable and got me what my cat needed to feel better. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be coming here from now on for my cat's veterinary needs. Here's my baby after our visit. 😀

The staff was so friendly and helpful. They took great care and a loving touch in dealing with Lil Bear. They made both him and I feel comfortable. Definitely recommend Pet Vet.

Dr. McBane and Dr. Epperly of Pet Vet Roanoke are two of the most competent, caring, and communicative veterinarians that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They are truly outstanding. I brought my dog, Lucy, to them when she was very very sick and my previous vet wasn't providing us with the right care. As soon as I got there, Dr. McBane sprang into action, listened to my concerns, explained everything to me, thoroughly answered my questions, and got us in for the right diagnostics at a specialty facility that same day. After testing was completed, she followed up immediately, again, thoroughly explaining the results, giving me all the options, and taking the time to genuinely listen to and answer my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed or under-advised when having to make difficult decisions. We ultimately had to hospitalize my dog at Pet Vet for a few days, where Dr. Epperly took over and managed exceptional care of Lucy. They texted pictures of her as she was recovering, letting me know she was doing well, and Dr. Epperly called several times daily to give me updates, answer any questions, and help make decisions on next steps. They even set up time and space for me to visit with my girl while she was recovering, which was such a morale boost for both of us. I truly felt like Lucy was getting the best care, and the empathy that Dr. Epperly and Dr. McBane exhibited through this very stressful time was invaluable. After picking Lucy up from the hospital, Dr. McBane took the time to help us through recovery in the days and weeks after Lucy's hospital stay, always taking my phone calls and answering my questions and concerns as new things came up. I cannot overstate how outstanding their communication was, and how critical that was for us to make the right decisions for our dog in an uncertain time. If you are new to the area or aren't satisfied with the care you're getting from your current vet, I highly recommend giving Pet Vet Roanoke a call. I will certainly be taking my animals there from now on.

I rescued a stray kitten, very young and in poor health. They not only saved her life, but gave excellent charges. They are people with understanding, and compassion for animals, and pet owners

Absolutely love the staff at Pet Vet! They will make sure you understand what is going on and offer payment options. They won’t do anything unless you are comfortable with it! No surprises!

This was my first time here and I had a very good experience! Reasonable prices and great service. My pup came in with a limp and the vet laid out a care plan for her and made me feel very reassured. She’s already feeling much better and is no longer limping, just slow :)

I highly recommend Pet Vet Roanoke. The doctors are exccellent at what they do, as is also the staff. They are all skilled, knowledgeable, and thorough.

There is something else too : they are genuinely friendly, understsnding and very caring. They obviously really like and are committed to their chosen professions.

That is always important and gratefully received at any time---but even more so when having to say goodbye to a treasured pet. In early 2023 my daughter and I had to have our sweet 21 year old cat Laverne put to sleep. She had cancer. Everyone at Pet Vet Roanoke was so thoughtful and caring and that really helped. We are glad that we found Pet Vet Roanoke.

We can't express how pleased we were with everyone from the ladies who took our initial call to Dr. McBane and Sam. They were all professional and compassionate. We had an emergency situation with one of our beloved cats that we felt our only choice was euthanasia. Dr. McBane and Sam came out the afternoon we called and put our minds at ease. They treated Mazy and us like we were family. Mazy went peacefully in the sun. We are grateful they were able to help us and Mazy in our time of need. Forever grateful to Pet Vet - Roanoke.

My dog had an obvious ear and eye infection and needed to get her in to the vet immediately. My regular vet said they could “work her in” at a time I couldn’t go and would charge an extra $35. I called Pet vet and they got her in that day at a time I could actually go. There was no wait time and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I am switching to Pet Vet.

We had a great experience at pet vet. I was not able to get in with my vet for a sick appointment and pet vet got me in the next day. They were very friendly and compassionate and we will definitely see them again.

Everyone is so nice and they seem to really care about your pets. Took my dog a couple days ago. I really had a great experience and now my pupper is doing much better. Reasonable prices as well.

Dr. McBane and her staff are aaaaamazinggg! They were able to fit me in for an appt a day early for our beloved Blackie kitty! They were wonderful with him and easy to talk to. The prices were very reasonable. We plan on making this office our vet for our fur babies here on out!

They are the nicest people , the WHOLE STAFF Wonderful from setting appointment on and my Vet was so helpful answered all my questions, suggested some great ideas and took her time with us on everything, I will defiantly be going back there for my pet's next visit 😁 a very satisfied customer!

I was a vet tech myself for a few years but now I teach college. This place has got some of the nicest and most thorough doctors and staff I've ever seen. They are simply outstanding! If you have a pet bring it here! These are three of their patients who are doing outstanding! :-) and no I don't work for the company and no I'm not being paid by them regarding a discount or anything weird like that. Just letting people know that there are good veterinarians still around that are going to gouge you on prices and rush you in and out.

We took two of our dogs back to back for annual wellness seeing both vets- wonderful! Thorough examination and explanation of everything relating to our pets was explained! Loved our experience!

I highly recommend Pet Vet. It’s easy to schedule appointments and my cats love going there and get vaccinated because the treats they get during the shots are so good they don’t even notice the shots. They’re also very competent with diagnosis and treatment when my cats have a medical issue.

PetVet is not our regular provider but graciously helped us in an emergency. Cheyenne and Dr. Ortiz were kind and empathetic to us and Feisty. The tests done were reasonable and done with our permission. Treatment given provided needed relief for Feisty. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dr. Mcbane and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I appreciate the online scheduling, but Dr. Mcbane has been so helpful in getting the care for my rescue dog, not knowing any medical history of my boston terrier, and ensuring we get her on track to be as healthy as possible. She provides all the information, without any pressure and is so supportive and professional. I adore this office

I brought my cat here, and it was perfect! The vet, Dr. McBane, was very kind. The place wasn’t busy and was pretty quiet which definitely helped put my cat at more ease. I worked at a vet clinic in the past, and they allowed me to hold my cat while he was given vaccines, which I really appreciated. Overall I really recommend this place and the prices are good as well! I also appreciated how they made it more personal with signs that included pet’s names and a welcome sign in the exam room.
