Jill is amazing! She worked hard to find us the right house and make our dream of homeownership come true. She was attentive and really listed to our needs and concerns. She was there every step of the way. When the lender we were originally working with ran into issues, Jill was able to refer us to one of her connections who was able to close our loan in 12 days. If we ever sell or buy again, Jill will 100% be the agent for us!

Jill Himlie, and company, are the best realtors we’ve ever worked with.
Because of the volatility of the market, and other circumstances beyond our control, we lost a couple of homes that we wanted.
Jill kept our spirits up and continued to work hard to find us a home we love.
We would highly recommend her and her company to anyone looking for a new home.

I purchased my home with Windermere when relocating from California to Washington. I was very impressed with both my agent and his support staff. Our transaction progressed smoothly and we where kept informed throughout the entire process. This is the largest brokerage in the area and I came to work for them once we where settled and I was ready to get back to selling real estate. I am beyond pleased with the quality of agents I work with and knowing they go above and beyond what their clients need and expect.

Tracey McGlothlin of Windemere, Shelton WA, is the most professional, and patient Real Estate Agent that we have found. We tried several other agents throughout the Pacific Northwest before working with Tracey and found that she lives up to her excellent reputation.

This is one of the best realty locations in shelton area due to the longevity of the broker family, the Himlies, that run it and the Conklin family that are a major part of this location. You won't find a more diverse, professional, fun loving, dedicated and honest group of realtors and staff then inside Windermere Himlie Realty. Super supportive of this whole group of people.

Hiring Keith Fuller was a BIG mistake. I interviewed 2 other real estate agents and the price they recommended I list my house for was $100,000 different. Attempting to get the right price I remembered a sold house close to me. Keith was the listing agent. When I interviewed him he said all the right things and really seemed to pay attention to the details. He had the pictures taken prior to signing a contract. Then it became a waiting game. I had to give him a “list by date” after meeting with him another time when I thought my home was going to be listed. Then the signing took forever because he tried to talk me out of the price I wanted to list …...so many signals to back out!!! I was anxious to get my home on the market due to the season being in full swing. He wore me down! He did not disclose the contract length. There were many phone conversations where he spoke disrespectful to me. Then whenever I had questions about activity on the house his answer was ALWAYS lower the price. I did have 2 contracts while listed with Keith. A buyer wanted a minimal amount of work done. I asked him about having it done and the possibility of he and the other agent covering the cost since the offer was below my lowest price and he did not even answer my question!!! Finally my contract with him ended. I now have my house sold for a price he said was too high. Bottom line he only wants to sell houses that sell easily so he can sit back and watch the money roll in!!

It seems that this realtor has no problem with posting rave reviews about themselves!

If you read all these reviews carefully, you will notice that two of the 5 star reviews were written by agents that actually work at Windermere Himlie, and two others just posted 5 stars without any commentary. There was a 2.5 star average shortly after I wrote this critical review not to long ago, and this low average, apparently, disturbed the Windermere staff and they swiftly address it by posting their own reviews. The public now sees, upon first glance, an impressive 4.5 stars. As far as I can tell, this kind of deception is just business as usual for this realtor. Here is how things unfolded a while back with Vince Himlie, the owner…..

My real estate agent was convinced we had solved a problem with my loan near the end of a long and difficult escrow on one of Vince’s listings and that the sale would now go through. Vince had been somewhat vague and not very forthcoming the last few critical days leading up to the close, but we still felt quite confident on the last day of escrow when he agreed to accept a filing asking for a bit more time. We had disclosed in detail with him the glitch we had just resolved and had every reason to believe he would grant the request. The next day I got a surprise call from my agent stating our deal had fallen apart and that the home had been sold to someone else.

It seems that Vince had lined up his own buyer and had intended to sell the home to this buyer for some time. By not disclosing his true intentions and distracting us with a bogus filing on that last day, he precluded any possibility of my settling and saving the home with my own cash. His last minute timing was clearly intentional and had a devastating effect. He was able to inform my agent the very next morning that it was too late for us to do anything in that he already had a signed contract. He also almost certainly cashed in with a much larger sales commission.

I believe Vince Himlie’s actions were calculated, misleading, even cold hearted, especially with my agent having had many candid face to face meetings with him. He was also quite aware that my agent had months of hard work and a large commission at stake. He apparently had no qualms about snatching all this away.

I should mention the home we lost was a one in a million gem that had taken nearly a year to find. I was heartbroken and also furious at having been blindsided and deceived in such a manner. There was also a strong sense of betrayal. Vince, with his vast experience in real estate, had generally conveyed a tone of understanding and helpfulness.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My response to Mr. Himlie's reply....

Mr. Himlie, it was you and not the seller’s that over the course of several months had dozens of phone conversations and multiple eye to eye consultations with my agent. There were so many opportunities
to set him straight and tell the truth about the plans to sell the house to a back up buyer if we failed settle on time. Apparently, you even felt the need to occupy and sidetrack us with that extension charade on the very last day. Clearly, you were not taking any chances on having your plans being foiled last minute. You were determined to seal the deal for your own buyers and double up on your sales commissions.

The sellers had nothing to do with any of these shenanigans. It was the work of a very friendly, and also a very slick salesmen, someone that had
masterfully won over our complete trust.
