What a great diner, with mismatched chairs and tables, a great bar, and a good choice of food. I had to try the breakfast with all of that food for only $14.95 (yes, I did have 5 eggs)!! The Mrs had the skillet fried pork cutlet with slaw and beans. The couple with us had the pot roast with green beans and mashed potatoes and meatloaf with corn and carrots.

This Ramsey’s Diner location was lovely! I’ve come here with my fiancé twice for date nights.

The location is definitely decorated in the diner-centric theme. There are plenty of fun signs and humorous decor. Our servers both times were lovely and attentive. On our first visit it was very busy, and they forgot our appetizer order of buffalo wings and ranch. We politely pointed it out, and they brought the dish out speedily. Our server then told us it was on the house, and we really appreciated such a kind gesture!

I got their burger with mac ‘n’ cheese as a side, while my fiancé got their Hot Brown, also with mac ‘n’ cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious, hot and fresh!

They also serve desserts from a local, Kentucky Proud company, and their New York Cheesecake was hands down one of the BEST we’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back here again!

One of the famous places to eat in the Lexington area! Cute old building. Service was prompt and the waitstaff was nice. The waitresses wear ties around their necks … it’s the thing there. There is a memorial tie in memory of a colleague and a “wall of fame” for ties as well. The food we had was delicious and the helpings were generous. Missy’s pies are served for dessert and are NOT to be missed. Parking is abundant either in the main shopping center lot or across the street. Worth a trip.

They prepare food with great seasoning and flavors. They make it taste almost as good as home cooking. Everything was hot and delicious. The takeout was quick, and the young lady who brought it to the car was very polite and courteous.

It is a great restaurant to get your dinner! The fried chicken is the best. The Chic-fil-A next door had a double line around the building. If they only knew how much better Ramsey's chicken is, you wouldn't be able to get in the door.

A great "meat and three" type of restaurant with outstanding homemade cooking. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes/gravy, and fried green tomatoes, which were excellent!!

Great food! Overall the food and drinks were excellent. Old fashioned was nice but was on the sweeter side, food was the meat + 3 with chicken livers, corn oysters, Parmesan fried corn on the cob and fried green oysters. Very filling but very good, livers has a great flavor and weren’t over powering. Place was very busy so it took us a minute to get seated but the waitress was very friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend for homestyle filling meals.

Great experience! Brothers girlfriend was in town from Germany and wanted to give her a Kentucky experience. We were in and out in an hour and 40 minutes and had a great time. Shoutout to Ariana (?) for her great service! All the food was super tasty and was done amazingly.

Excellent food and service. We arrived at a busy time, however had very little wait time to be seated. Drink and food order placed and received quickly. Large portions definitely will not leave hungry.

It's my favorite place to eat! If you go home hungry, it's your own fault! If I had to complain about anything, it would be that it gets a little too loud in there from time to time. I also think that has a lot to do with other people's rudeness! I've never had a rude waitress/waiter in this place! Literally Top Notch!

My wife and I drove to Ramsey's Diner at the recommendation of our Bed & Breakfast hostess. Even though it was Sunday afternoon around 3pm, the restaurant was pretty full. We ordered a hamburger with fries, and the Southern Style Catfish with mac & cheese and fried green tomatoes. The food was delicious overall, especially the corn fritter hush puppy item which came with the catfish and the creamed corn.
Our server was very gracious and brought us a small plate of creamed corn just to try, since it was our first time at Ramsey's. When we realized the mac & cheese was not good and asked her if we could switch it with another plate of creamed corn, she took care of our request immediately.
We left feeling very full and my only regret is that we don't have one closer to Louisville!

This has been one of my favorite places to eat for over two decades. Delicious local (whenever possible) southern comfort food and tasty drinks. A must try if you haven't already!

I'm still going to shy away from the hot brown here since I got one burnt to a crisp years ago. My favorite dish is the buffalo strip salad. It is heaping over and has large chicken tenders that are cooked perfect every time. Also where else can you order a veggie plate and get fried tomatoes?

I was told that I HAVE to get a Hot Brown in Kentucky and HAVE to go to Ramsey's in Lexington! I sat at the bar and really wish I had gotten the bartender's name because she was so sweet and nice. I learned a Hot Brown has ham, bacon and turkey which means modifications when you don't eat pork. I went with the vegetarian version with turkey which was so good 👍 I even liked the zucchini which like never happens. I asked why it's called a Hot Brown since it's more white than brown and learned the dish was created at the Brown Hotel (that makes sense). They also have great fries 🍟 And I ordered a Black Bottom Banana Pie. It was really flavorful but a bit dry, the portion size is really big so it became bfast the next day.

Really good food nice place the only reason for the 4 star on service is they forgot something on our order but other than that it was great

Asked for somewhere local to try and am glad the guy told us about Ramsey’s! Fried bologna, chicken livers, green beans, fried green tomatoes, and more. All excellent!

I've been coming to Ramsey's literally my entire life! Have had multiple birthdays, graduations, and family dinners here. It's even where my fiance met my family for the first time! Cannot recommend it enough, especially the buffalo chicken and homemade ranch.
