Blue Heron Bikes

I went in on a Saturday to find out about getting some repair work done. I made an appointment for the following Wednesday. I came in first thing at 9 AM and dropped it off. They put on new brake pads, and replaced the chain and cassette. It was ready by 5 PM that night, but was too late for me to get there before it closed. I picked it up first thing Thursday. The cost matched exactly the estimate I was given. Definitely the place to go for service

One of the best health investments made on my behalf was my son purchasing an e-bike @ Blue Heron Bikes on my birthday two years ago. I absolutely like being on the trails with my Gazelle! The staff and personnel & Blue Heron are beyond reproach. They are always courteous, respectful, and attentive. I’ve had my bike tuned up twice since purchase. On each occasion I’ve witness exemplary service and professionalism. I highly recommend Blue Heron Bikes.

One of the best bike shops out there. They stock pretty much everything under the sun. If they don’t have it, they can get it. They have a great selection of the smaller brands too, that are usually hard to find outside of the internet. I’m always looking for ways to give them money and they’ll talk me out of it. Good and honest wrenching. Highly recommended.

An institution. Want an ebike? Come here. Want a weird folding bike? Come here. Want a gnarly gravel bike? Come here. Need repairs? Order the parts from China and do it yourself, then come here so they can fix your fuxup. Went in today and a poor man of color came in with a bike that needed a dumpster trip - but the staff was kind and considerate. There was also a white dude who paid top dollar for a simple new disc and chain job. These folks know who needs help and they give it.

My partner and I visited this bike shop to look at bike baskets for my small dog. Despite it being busy, 3 different staff members offered to help us find a basket after finishing their current task. I believe it was Greg who helped us to find the perfect basket and, although the shop had a lot of work orders to do, he also offered to install the basket the same day. Very thankful for the good service and friendly staff - thank you!

Went in to get a gift certificate and was helped immediately by a young lady who was very polite and friendly. Great selection of e-bikes and bicycles, along with accessories. Helmets, locks, parts etc. Was given a receipt for a deposit that worked as my gift certificate. Great staff, good location.

I'm new to the area and looking for a shop to call upon when I've gotten myself into mechanical mischief ... and I just found the spot!
Jordan helped me and went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. I was impressed by their stock of odd bits and pieces, and all the fun Alt-bars and boutique-y bits they had in their cases. It seems they have an especially good selection of bike touring and bikepacking accessories.
This is clearly a shop of passionate riders and I look forward to giving them my business.

Needed to change an inner tube, got there first thing at 9 and got it all done on the spot so I could keep biking to work. Good service and nice people. Also they are giving away free air so that is nice!

Great bike shop with kind, honest and detailed staff. We really appreciated the range of cargo bikes to test ride, going through pros/cons of each and making a decision we've been thrilled with.

Had an issue with a repair here but they were very flexible and I'm happy with the outcome. My bike had a problem changing gears and was told I needed new shifters. The new shifters did not solve the problem, but when I called Phil(?) was kind enough to take them off again. He also changed the shifter cables and that seems to have completely fixed the original issue.

Purchased my e-bike here and recently got it serviced. Staff are super knowledgable, friendly, eager to help, and transparent with their services. Highly recommend, especially if you know just the basics of bike maintenance like myself.

Been resident of Berkeley for three decades. This is one of best bike stores for service. So honest and transparent. It’s on my way to my usual commute because of being next Ohlone bike lane. One of the co- owner ( I forgot his name ) is very honest and sometimes didn’t even charge me to fix small things.
While waiting for service there is nice cafe and sushi restaurant next door . I’m so glad to find this compared to shops like Mike’s who is filled with Mr.” I know it all” and ruined my tires.

The people who work here are all top notch human beings. They're extremely generous with cargo bike test rides, very knowledgeable about both the bike industry and the electric vehicle revolution that's taking place. I have had my bike serviced here twice and the work was sound.

A real bike shop. They built me a custom bike. I had opinions on certain things, which they respected. Other things I knew little about, and they gave good advice. Came in under budget, and the work was good.

I had a GREAT experience bringing my road bike to Blue Heron Bikes! It had been in storage for about 2 years and the bike technician explained everything that needed to get fixed in a concise and comprehensive way. He also gave me options on parts to buy and explained each part and their function thoroughly. Definitely coming back for sure! And the price was mad economical in comparison to other similarly rated shops!
