El Cerrito Library - Contra Costa County Library

A beautiful and cozy library with very friendly and helpful staff members. I remember going there to get access to the internet while we just relocated to the area. Since then, we have been borrowing books for our kids. It is truly a community space.

Such a nice and intimate library with a wonderful area for kids. The staff is very nice and friendly. They offer story time and different activities for children including ABC mouse.

The library itself is small and old. What makes the library awesome are the librarians who work there. Many of them seem like the type of people you'd like to take out for coffee and sit down and talk to or go on a hike with. They are just interesting and fun people to talk to and they have awesome suggestions and are very helpful with problem solving. Finally, I love that this is right next door to my kid's school. I know eventually it will probably be moved which makes me a little sad. There are so many children from our school community that would probably not have the same level of access to literature if this library moves in the future. Many kids come here after school to wait for their parents to pick them up and some come with their parents on their way home. Keep up the great work guys!

I bring my 7 month old baby here for Monday storytime with Thomas. He is fantastic! I have been to a few other library locations, but this one is by far the best. Thomas could have his own tv show for kids! Also, everyone at the library is super friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of board books for my little one. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing staff! The Children’s book collection is amazing, with new books added all the time. The book collection celebrates the diversity of the neighborhood.

I am here almost every weekend. I would not be able to meet my Goodreads goal every year without public libraries. The staff members are super friendly. I don't know how they do it.

It's a community based library with a big heart. Staff is super friendly and helpful, the book selection is pretty good and the activities are great. You have access to computers and a printer which is very convenient.

Staffs here are awesome. My kid loves the teacher who sings for all the kids on Monday. Parents should visit this library too, highly recommended.

Friendly librarians. It's a small library but you can get just about anything through inter-branch loan within the Contra Costa Library System.
