Smokin' Joe's BBQ/Savannah Joe’s BBQ

Ordered carryout on line. This was easy and straight forward. We enjoyed all that we got-- chopped bbq, smoked wings, okra, collards, mac and cheese. The only item that was lacking, was cream of crab soup. It was okay, but could be improved. Staff was friendly. Order was packaged with care. Order was accurate. We will be back.

We both enjoyed the daily special which included generous portions of chicken and pork BBQ and two sides. The BBQ was sufficiently smokey flavored and tasty. Joe's offeres several sauces to meet personal taste. Between the two of us we tried the fried ocra, fries, greens and cold slaw and all were very good. The meal also included hush puppies and I wanted more they were so good!

Great atmosphere and even better bbq! They close at 8 and we didn't make it here until 7:35 on Memorial Day, but Darwin behind the counter was more than happy to help us! We will definitely be returning.

It's a simple no frills kind of place with excellent food. Just my kind of place! The BBQ is excellent. The chicken wings are a thing of beauty! 6 wings and two sides will split you open there's so much food!

The pulled pork is delicious. Get the collards and baked beans as sides and take away one of the excessively big pieces of cake. Different regional bbq sauces as well for some choice.

You can smell it way before you walk in, so your mouth is already watering! Great food for great price. Love this place.

Best BBQ on the Northern Neck. Great bands play every Friday night in the summer. If you go early enough, there might be a cheap buffet.
