It is an Islamic bookstore that has loads of extensive resources, knowledge, and information on Muslim Life and Culture for adults and children, and Sultana Bookstore is more than a bookstore! In the back of the store there are garments; incredibly beautiful Scarves, Hijabs, Abayas, Mens Throbes, Fragrances, some Jewelry, Health items, Ceremonial Sage, and Prayer Rugs and more.
The Best part of Sultana Bookstore is the Owner and Family. They are The Most Beautifully Gracious, Loving, Pure Kind Hearted, Peaceful, Caring, Humble Beings!

There are some beautiful things here. Great pillows and cushions. Lovely scarves, pashminas, and shawls. And very friendly people.

We came back because we wanted to have the incense they use. It turns out it's a room spray. So wonderful.

The owner is a very polite, courteous and funny! The store is great, well organised and clean!

Very helpful people. They have a good selection of different books and things. They even have some useful herbal medicine for a great price. I now only buy my toothpaste here after I tried their miswak toothpaste. It is just incredible!

This store is a hidden gem in Berkeley. Walking there is like walking into one thousand and one night story book. The clothes and the scents and the dazzling colors everywhere. I wanted a white Arabic thobe with the head wrap and Shawkat, the owner, helped me find what I wanted. Shawkat was friendly, professional and had a genuine smile on his face all the time. He even remembered me after several years. God bless.

Rare treasure of (mostly) Islamic books in many different languages, and other merchandize. Small, quiet and peaceful store tucked away in plain sight.

I was on the lookout for some kufis, so i followed google's advice and wound up here.
They had a ton of beautiful books, scarves, and kufis. The woman working there was very gracious and polite and helped my friend whilst I eagerly went through the perfume oils bottle by bottle (they have A LOT of perfume and incrediblu gorgeous bottles)
She asked me what scent i liked and then picked out the absolute best option for me.
All told, I bought a bunch of stuff and paid very little. Their prices are very modest!
I will definitely return

The place holds a treasure of books. Beside books, it has all sorts of islamic stuff - prayer mats, hijabs, perfumes etc.

Sister was really helpful in getting the right thobes and hats for me and my brothers. She was very friendly.

I have shopped at this store for the last 15 years they have scarves and hats and a tire that appeals to all types of people they have fragrances, oils books for children teenagers middle-aged people old people and older older people I recommend that you go there for any books. Rumi books is not a reputable business they do not give they just take from the people the Sultana is a place of integrity and they will love you

I drove by the Sultana store on San Pablo to get a few items. I liked the diversity of inventories and the sales person's very professional. Shukran!

Been frequenting Sultanas for years now, I think since 99 or 00. Lovely little place with just about everything Islamically: clothes, books, oils, dvds and more. I drive there all the way from Union City because I much prefer them over other spots.
