Mechanics Bank - Kensington Branch

I want to say thank you to the banking team at the Kensington branch of Mechanics Bank. They have been incredibly supportive to Hopscotch Interactive throughout the COVID-19 crisis, and to all of their business banking customers. They especially helped us with the PPP application, and we had access to them even after hours to get things done. They know their customers and are working like crazy to keep everyone going, and so I took this photo (iPhone 😊), and as a local photographer I am very grateful that I have a wonderful, old-school bank, that puts its local community first!

I've banked at the Kensington branch of Mechanics Bank, both personal and business accounts, for a long time, probably most of the 30+ years I lived there, after getting fed up with Bank of America. The difference was like night and day. Much more personalized service, the people at the branch know my name. After I moved abroad to Europe, I kept my accounts there and staff went out of their way numerous times to help me do the things I needed to do while I was 6000 miles away. In fact, they were so helpful I felt compelled to send the branch manager a small token gift of my appreciation, something I had never done with anyone at any bank in my life. I just can't say enough good things about my experience with this bank. Hard to believe, I know, but true. I still bank there and have no intention of ever changing.

很有耐心態度很好，開戶沒有太多限制，多年前好像有遇過會說中文的台灣櫃員XD

Terrible hours and lots of clerical errors. This used to be an independent small bank but is now part of a much larger conglomerate thats slashing quality for cost saving.
