So I am eating my words. Left a harsh review earlier and am taking it all back I had a rough experience and was not at all happy but the owners reached out to me and offered to work with me to insure I was satisfied. It worked! I had gone to the store to specially purchase a Secrid wallet which with working with the owners we resolved my issues and am now very happy with the purchase. My brother saw the wallet and like it so with his birthday next month I will be returning to Aiken to purchase another as a gift. Who knows maybe they will become my standard special gift, always purchased from Aiken. Give this store a try, as i noted my opinion has change, dramatically, and all for the better

This boutique has a combination of quality products at reasonable prices and GREAT customer service. We all need to support the locally owned small businesses. Thank you Randy for taking care of us.

Aiken carries a unique mix of different styles from Indian cotton paisley prints to polyester leisure wear, funky t-shirts, elegant party frocks, chunky wool sweaters. Great variety!!

Think Nordstrom-lite and you get the picture of Aiken. Quality clothing and word Class service in a much smaller store that is privately owned and local. This is a business I am happy to support.

I absolutely fell in love with Convert and all of the employees I met, including Randy the owner. Everyone was so helpful when searching for sustainable clothing companies.

Great products with a focus on sustainability and human rights. Go shopping here some time soon.

i wish i could fill my wardrobe with all of the clothing in convert. it's virtually impossible to walk out without buying anything.

While I have almost always had great experiences here especially when shopping for the ON brand shoes, I thought it was worth mentioning the salesperson was a bit pushy to make a sale rather than help me find a running shoe.

I came looking for something after a foot injury running and this sales person showed me a new style saying it was recommended for running mid distance. Looking at the ON website it stated these were casual everyday shoes (Cloudnova form). Even after showing the salesperson the website they were insistent these and all the other shoes were for good for running even though there is no mention from the manufacturer that is the case. I walked out without any running shoes and will have to do my own research for my next purchase.

Great store but I hope this salesperson becomes a bit more knowledgeable about these products or just say they aren’t 100% sure and offer to look up the product data to learn more instead of trying to make a sale under false pretenses.

Like the new selection (esp the extensive Fjallraven) a bit more than the previous Convert. Pretty similar though - friendly staff, nice stuff. Would love it if they moved up into some high end Japanese denim as well.

Thought we'd support small businesses but second time we were treated rudely by the employees. My daughter was handing us a product when we were rudely told to have her put the product down. She was not doing anything to mishandle the product at all and there was no reason for us to be talked to like this. We decided to leave the store and as we were leaving the employee continued to speak rudely about us to the customer he was helping. I asked him twice to speak to me directly if he had an issue but he ignored me. Businesses with this kind of attitude have no right being open, glad they're closing. Serves them right.

BUYER BE WARE!!!! This place will NOT give you a refund if you change your mind on a purchase. Even with a receipt in hand from a purchase made less than 24 hours earlier. Owner said “No refund” policy is because he is a small business and policy is displayed prominently (if you consider the small sign to the left of the counter that he had to point out as prominent). If a small business really cares about its customers, it would put customer service first.
After making this suggestion, owner claimed I was “bullying him”. Sorry maybe you know you’re wrong. Never once raised my voice or used any profanity, simply let him know his policy is not fair to his customers and I would use my voice to let others know of their policy so they don’t get burned buying something they no longer want.
Out of principle will not shop there again even though I had enjoyed this shop for many years prior to this unfortunate encounter.
To be fair they did offer an exchange, but come on.. seriously can I just get a refund…guess not.

So rude worker attitude
