I love having a local place to get coffee and breakfast. The employees are all nice.They remember you and greet you with a smile. Don't forget to stop in at Jenny K's gift store.

There was a prompt response from the owner, and apparently new processes implemented behind the counter to ensure that the same problem was less likely to happen. They seem to be on top of the problem.

I had a pretty terrible experience the first (and hopefully, only) time I went here.

To be fair, it was early in the morning, and maybe it was a new hire, but I didn't get what I paid for, and I didn't have the time to go back. I ordered bagels with spread (one hummus, and one cream cheese). I received two bagels without any spread, and one was squished and awful (see attached photo).

There were several people waiting, and the person serving the coffee didn't know whose coffee they were serving. "I've got two drinks here for.... someone.... ."

To be fair, it's just coffee and bagels. However, they're coffee and bagels I paid $12.00 for, with a tip; I should actually get what I ordered, and not have to hope I didn't get someone else's drink.

Love this neighborhood gem. Delicious coffee, tasty food offerings, and very friendly staff who make you feel welcome.

Great local spot for coffee, pastries, and bagels. I had a cappuccino and a bagel which both were quite delicious. They also have large sandwich and beer menu too.

The walk-up ordering system is also great. Accept touch-less payments. I’ll be back soon!

This place serves delicious chewy semi freddy bagels with generous amounts of cream cheese. I was especially impressed that they have larrupin sauce. All with fast service and reasonable price. It is a little easy to miss this place of you are driving by, but I would definitely recommend a breakfast here.

Really sweet local cafe shop, the staff is really friendly. I tried the white mocha and it is awesome, would like to come back and visit again.

I called to place an order and while I was on my way to there, I’ve noticed I had a flat tire so I called them right away to let them know that I was going to be running a little late do to that. Once I got my tire repair and made it there, (I didn’t get the employee’s name) but he was young and really nice. When he asked my name, he asked me if everything was okay with my tire now and then, he told me to not worry about paying for my breakfast sandwich. He was like, “don’t worry, it’s on us. We feel bad you went through that.” He was sooo sweet and nice to offer that to me but I didn’t accept. I just want to say, thank you so very much for such a sweet / great customer service. I paid for my sandwich but it really made my day to know that there is still people in the world with a great heart and the best intentions to sympathize with each other.

I’m local and just tried this spot and was not disappointed! Vanilla latte with oat milk was absolutely divine! Probably one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Also got a gluten free bagel with ham and egg. Yum! I have celiac disease and they used a dedicated toaster for the gluten free bagel. I will be back!

Wonderful little cafe that is all about supporting the local neighborhood. It's places like this that really give a community its soul. Keep up the good job!

The coffee, bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are great too. If you don't get there until the afternoon, you might find that your favorite bagel or bread is sold out. I haven't made it to the relatively new happy hour yet, but I plan on checking it out soon.

This is hands down the best coffee shop I've been to. The staff are incredibly friendly, the coffee is divine, they have amazing bagels and sandwiches, and the prices are competitive. The shop itself is small but cute, I love the dual level layout. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough.

Great local El Cerrito business that serves great coffee and coffee drinks. The small cup of coffee is PRETTY small, but the quality of the brew is amazing. You may see a line when you stop by in the morning but you'll barely feel the wait with the wonderfully nice people working there.

We haven't stopped going to WELL-GROUNDED since we discovered it. We tend to stick to the lifeguard which is a delicious and simple bagel on the 'secret' menu. We also get the vanilla latte with oatmilk. They make a swell Vanilla Latte.

Great coffee, lovely food, and wonderful customer service. I appreciate their continuous work on keeping up with covid guidelines. Staff is helpful with special needs/requests while always maintaining professionalism. Love taking a break and getting a snack/caffeine here.

Dropped by yesterday for an oat milk cappuccino and was so impressed by this cozy local spot—thank you for the delicious drink and the lovely hospitality. Sandwich menu also looks great so definitely will be back for lunch soon!

Great coffee! They sell croissants and morning buns from semifreddi (I think) and homemade sandwiches! Also just lovely people and happy to give your pup a pupachino!!

Small, unassuming local coffee bar and snack shop with outdoor seating and a couple of indoor tables. My first time here and so far, it's cool. My iced latte was perfect- not too sweet. Will come back again.

Cute, small, tasty sandwich, wild children running about sometimes, but they are cute and not tooo distracting. Great happy hour too :) Plus yummy selection of beers. I get that someone will read all my reviews and be like, "Man that chick likes beer alot." YES I HAVE A BEER BABY.
