Richmond Public Library - West Side Branch

This is a wonderful library with a great selection of books, some permanent and some rotating. The key librarians, Han and Karen and Deborah, are super-friendly, which is part of the joy of going, and they are really knowledgable and always ready to help.

There are movies on DVD, children's story hours in the children's corner (and a great children's collection… I just love watching those little kids check out books!).

You can sit in a comfortable chair and read a number of newpapers, sit at a table to work on a project, or use one of several computers to search for a job or check your email. Many unemployed and low-income people in the Point--residents we value--use it regularly for these purposes, rubbing elbows with the mayor's wife and the retired "old guard" of the Point as well as the new families with young kids...it is a wonderful community resource and meetinghouse.

Excellent resource for friendly, helpful, staff. My son grew up with this library and we love this place.

Friendly staff. Nice small town little library. Not many books, but they can order books for you from the main library.

I love coffee

This is an appallingly small library, almost useless. Point Richmond obviously doesn't value the pursuit of knowledge. The citizenry should invest in a much larger and more elaborate learning center that promotes expanding the mind. A huge reason crime is everywhere is that the cheap citizens don't realize that investing in education helps all of us value each other more.
