Dave's Record Shop

This is a great little used record store. For the limited space that they occupy,they have done a good job of packing the space with records. Whether you like rock or jazz, country or folk, the blues or swing it's here. And they also have other merchandise related to music and it's various genres. And they carry all of the different types of records. So why not come on down and check out the shop and you can always talk music with the owner.

Love this shop! Great selection of a focus on jazz, rock, soul, experimental (and bits of everything else) music reasonable prices, good bargains and a listening station. Good rotation of stock.

Potentially the East Bay's finest record shop, with certainly the most interesting character staffing it. Prices are almost always very reasonable. Dave seems much more concerned with actually getting music into people's homes, so the selection is often inexpensive and rotates regularly. Ask him for a recommendation!

I went to 4 non-chain record stores when visiting the East Bay and this was by far my favorite. In fact of all the indy record stores I've visited in the last 3 years, this is my favorite.

Great sound system in the store and excellent music selection by the owner. When I got there I saw that he was cleaning records, a welcome site!

Love Dave's Record Shop. At first I was intimidated by Dave, but realized he's just a no-BS, vinyl lover. The new (not so new anymore!) location is fantastic, clean, well lit. And to echo someone else here, the jazz selection is great. Always fun to stop by and walk out with more records than I planned to buy! My local record shop and I recommend it highly.

Great local record store with lots of vintage rock and jazz. There's also a wide selection of $1 bargain records and a small but frequently updated selection of new releases. There's room to spread out to socially distance and the owner is very friendly.

Great store and super friendly owner. Only vinyls here and most of them used. Selection spans from Jazz to Soul, to World to Pop/Rock. It's a small place so don't expect to find everything and anything at any given time but I have a feeling Dave's inventory is always interesting...

This is and probably will always be my favourite record shop in the Bay Area. You can just tell that Dave (I presume) is running this store for all the right reasons. It shows and it make a difference. This guy is getting his small piece of well-deserved glory. I hope more people come and enjoy this shop. The prices are actually fair. Not just "let me charge whatever I can get some stupid hipster to pay". There are some cool and rare finds.

Dave's shop is the spot. I walked in there started looking at jazz Dave walked over and grabbed an album and put it on his amazing system. The sound was so gripping I had to stop and ask him about his system. I was so into it I had to look at every single album in the entire store I was having a ball. Dave put on another album. I ended up buying both of them and a treasure I had been looking for for some time that I found. All of the albums were killer condition every album is in its own plastic sleeve. I bought three used albums and they were all in excellent condition. Go hang at Dave's man it's a good time.

Dave's Record Shop is what record stores used to be. It's what we wish they still were. A great selection of organized, clean records at fair prices. As a bonus, just about everything here is used and can be previewed on a turntable reserved for customers. My favorite place in the Bay Area.

Best spot I've seen for jazz. Good selection of classics. New stuff about every week. I've come across some hard to find used records here which is why I keep coming back. Dave is very friendly and reorganizes the shop often which is appreciated

One of my favorite places to find great records in excellent condition. Dave is infinitely helpful and super nice. You can even listen before you purchase! This is the perfect place to discover new music!

Had fun browsing at Dave's Record Shop today. Good range of prices from box sets to records from $10-40 to 45s for <$5 and lots of $1 records.

If you’ll into into vinyl records, definitely a spot to check out, make frequent stops and you’ll find a good spot to shop. I’m good with it.

Dave's just in there spinning his records laid back in a no nonsense way, good selection in the bins, haven't had anything too warped or scratched, regular priced stuff is kind of pricey but in really good shape. Makes it worth it.
