True Value Eastern Supplies

LOVE this store. Has all sorts of the odds and ends you need on life. RCA cables, trimmer line, weatherstripping etc. I do not know how much longer it will be around. There's signage regarding a new development. So get over and soak it in. One of the last true old hardware stores left.

We have been going to Eastern Supply for over 30 years. It is a truly rare event when they don't have what we are looking for. Well stocked, good service & advice. This store makes such a good neighbor & we would be truly lost without it

Known these guys for a long time. One of my favorite corner hardware stores. Especially well stocked with plumbing materials and a decent grab bin of irrigation valves and related materials. Good prices on schedule 80 PVC fittings.

They had everything here but what I was looking for and be prepared when you shop here the anti-shoplifting employees will burn holes thru you. This place makes you feel like a carrier super booster....I asked them where i could finde somegthing electrical in English and they all of a sudden don't have...we out ...out hmmm I bet if I spoke Chinese they would have it." When will you get the part in."."oh I don't know" we no have "and they look at you like you are an alien from another planet....no... they just have everything else and they make you feel real uncomfortable. I am sure they "no have " anything I ask for....

I love my neighborhood hardware store. It's small but always seems to have everything I need. Will surely miss it when NX Ventures from TX tears it down to build a 9 story luxury apartment monstrosity in its place!

Great hardware store with friendly and helpful staff. They stock almost everything you would need for home projects and very will thread iron pipe to size and cut a range of glass in minutes, so much easier than spending hours trying to find someone to help you in Home Depot! Prices are also very reasonable and often cheaper than the big box stores.

I was looking for a specific faucet cartridge and after visiting two other stores, I ran across Eastern Supplies. Walked in, handed my existing cartridge to the old man at the counter (I'm 63 so I think I can get away with that), he looks at it and grabs his extension stick to help him pull down a cartridge from up top. Two other stores had no idea what I had. Mr. Wizard looks up and around for a minute and pulls down the exact replacement. Seriously impressive......

I was struggling to get scheppach scroll saw blades in the UK. Went over to california to see our son wife and the two girls and found them in a hardware store in Berkeley. Great shop. 👍

This is an amazing hardware store they have just about everything you need, they cut my 1" 1/2 galvanized to my specific measurements plus they threaded for me as well 😀! I'll be coming here anytime I'm in the area. Thanks Value Eastern Supplies you're a great old-school business:)

I had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday morning and needed a valve stem for a 70-year old shower. Ashby Lumber did not have it. I walked into Eastern and the owner immediately produced an exact replacement. Not only that, he advised me that the valve seat was probably also damaged and should be replaced. He had that part in stock also, along with the tool for extracting it. He gave me valuable advice how to go about making the repair. An hour later I completed the job. I'm grateful to the owner for being open on a Sunday morning, for having the parts, and for his expert advice. This is the best kind of store.

A favorite handyman spot. Eastern carries plumbing supplies that are rated, and will past inspection without going to several supply houses. Vent pipes, drain, and supply!
Cuts and threads, little or no weighting. These folks have the right stuff.

I love this hardware store! The people who work there actually know something about hardware: what’s needed for a project, how to use a tool, basically the best item to buy for a specific need. Eastern Supply is also cheaper than the mega hardwares. Check them out.

Great store with tons of merchandise. They always have what I need, friendly knowledgeable service. Every clerk has memorized the location of every item, even the tiny stuff. We are lucky to have them in Berkeley.

This True Value Eastern Supplies hardware store is a hidden gem of hardware store in Berkeley. The customer service is always friendly, they are very helpful for whatever project / hat your putting for the day. Love this place!

Way better service than Home Depot, and prices really about the same, and maybe less. They will even cut glass for you..nice and friendly. Give'em a call and ask for what you need on the spot. Easy.

I will drive from East Oakland to this place! What a treat to have stopped here for some gardening supplies and unique finds for the home.

Their facade on the photo on Street View made me worry they'd just have electrical and plumbing supplies. Actually they have a variety of inventory, including painting, yardwork, and cleaning supplies, and they had everything I needed.

Anything you need to fix at home or make key/ lock. This is the place.
