Shipyard 3 Cafeteria/Trail Parking

Seems strange to review a parking lot, but Google asked me to, so here we are.

I've actually never parked here, but I ride by on my bike frequently. I've never seen it more than 10% full - probably because the adjacent Shipyard 3 Cafeteria building is currently boarded up.

This is the closest parking to the trailhead for the short switchback trail to what the Rosie the Riveter National Park calls an "Interpretive Overlook". That trailhead is about 1/2 a kilometer south on the Shipyard 3 Trail and has no auto parking (it does, however, have bike racks!).

Richmond, CA has their fireworks on July 3 - to let our residents attend other displays on the 4th! I'll bet a small amount of money that, on that evening, the parking lot fills up with people walking to the "Interpretive Overlook" in order to get what I'm sure is a magnificent view of the fireworks - which occur almost due East off Marina Bay.
