I’ve been a musician for most of my life, starting with cello when I was very young and moving to guitar when I started the 8th grade. Over the years I’ve practiced with many private teachers and Chris was by far the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Chris is an extremely talented musician and a very patient, efficient teacher. Over the 6 years of taking lessons with Chris, my musical interests and goals changed numerous times. This wasn’t a problem at all, however, because Chris was able to play and teach any genre with ease. Whenever I felt that I had exhausted every option of practice, whenever I felt that I wanted to give up, Chris would show me a new way to work on a piece that would revolutionize my ability to play it. I highly recommend Chris Ansuini to ANY aspiring artist in search of a guitar teacher, from absolute beginners to the most masterful virtuosos.

Chris Ansuini has been and continues to be an amazing teacher to myself. I've been with Chris going on 5 years, not ever knowing how to read music or play any instrument my whole life. Chris has managed to open up a whole different world for me; encouraging me to seek further knowledge of music theory, and have fun with it. Chris makes every lesson not only fun. but you walk away with a good sense of great satisfaction. He will always be my number one music teacher.

Chris produced music for our podcast about carbon policy and how it can influence Alaska oceans. It was so neat to work with an artist who immediately picked up on what we wanted and produced something everyone loved. And on a very short turnaround! We were very pleased with the product and working with Chris was easy.

Chris has an almost inhuman level of patience that allows for novice students to work through frustrations seamlessly and experienced students to grow and evolve in an environment that focuses on the learning of music, not on regimented tasking - something I very much appreciated as a working professional with a chaotic schedule.

In the year+ of time I spent as Chris' student, I grew tremendously as a guitarist in ways that YouTube and guitar tabs cannot match. Chris provides outstanding feedback, well articulated, and truly catered to the student. This results in exponential growth as gems of catered and curated knowledge are uncovered through working closely with Chris.

I would highly recommend Chris for novice and expert musicians alike as his scholastic training and voracious appetite for everything from the exotic (mixolidian scales!) to the sublime (fingerpicking) makes him a wealth of knowledge. His temperament, patience and articulation allows this knowledge to be shared with the student in an almost effortless engagement.

Chris is the most patient and and rewarding guitar instructor I have e experienced. His attention to detail makes you a better musical and it works well with OCD personality!
