I Lovvee this. The food is Always good,fresh, and prepared with Love. The customer service is Awesome and welcoming, and the restaurant is Always clean and spacious. Recently, I ordered something, and it was forgotten, but when I went back to order again, they remembered me and made up for the incorrect order last time. I definitely recommend this restaurant

This is an amazing spot that all the locals love!! The atmosphere is so real and authentic, I feel like I’m in Mexico :). The people are so friendly & hospitable, and the owner is always there. She is very hard working. The food is amazing & fresh and it’s the only place my picky Mexican mom will eat flautas & more from. Support this place, it’s truly amazing… my family has been eating here since they’ve opened!

The food is excellent and not pricey at all. I had a shrimp soup that was absolutely delicious, and my friend had chorizo and eggs - also excellent!

Got a chicken super burrito so tasty I even cut it and had it for dinner it is wonder also they open 9am and they have green salsa very very good and not hot also THEY HAVE POTATOES AND BEEF OR CHICKEN THIS IS ON REQUEST. LETS SUPPOET THIS REALLY YUMMY PLACE

I have never had a bad experience here. I love ordering their chicken soup and having them add rice into it. IT IS SO DELICIOUS!!!!! It always makes me feel good when I am under the weather.

I love the hand drawn Caligraphy on the large Restaurant Menu Boards and the collection of framed photographs for sale throughout the Restaurant and the Chicken Tacos were delicious. It's worth a visit.

Great service and the food was excellent. For those of us that grew up in Richmond, there is a kind of nostalgic groove to certain items on the menu that just can't be duplicated anywhere else!!! A definite go!!!

All the faves are on offer here... I go for my usual two chicken tacos, or for their wonderful El Sol Salad (a taco salad that is a real delight). Their super burritos are great, and i have seen friends devour the quesadillas variosos. Salsa homemade & drink selection is good. I've watched this property go thru several iterations of Mexican restaurant over 16 years, from when it was a bakery... and El Sol is the best of all of them.

Our company hosts an employee quarterly luncheon and we almost always order from El Sol when the luncheon falls around end of April to May. We usually order chicken enchilada, carnitas and a beef dish plus all the trimmings and sides. And food is always tasty. Carnitas and enchilada are well-seasoned and carnitas has always been very tender and juicy. Rice has never been dry either. The owner, Josephine, has always been pleasant to work with.
The only not so good experience I had through the years was the ladies who answer the phones are not good in giving messages to the owner re my catering events, hence, I had to go with other options.

They have good food, I always go for the potatoes with ground beef, cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos. Only once have i tired something different on they menu and that was a crunchy steak tacos with cheese and sour cream and may I say it was really good.

I've been eating El Sol Mexican food for for a couple decades. They are still my top favorite Mex restaurants. They have not lost their touch.
