We really enjoyed our stay. Shauna, the head of housekeeper was a huge help and made us feel right at home, our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Thank you national staff, we will be coming back.

We stayed here as a quick get away from home. Location is excellent to explore Jackson Old Town. Rooms were clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Hotel has great charm. Warm and cozy. Highly recommended.

My husband and I love staying at this charming Victorian Style hotel. This is our second stay here at The National. We have loved visiting Jackson for years and always wanted this hotel to reopen. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom floor was heated and we had a huge tub and shower. The breakfast is pretty good because you have many options. Tamara was very hospitable. The lobby has a cozy fireplace and antique decor. I love coming here for a quick getaway. Very friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend the experience and the price is very reasonable.

Awesome! Nostalgic with modern accommodations, great balance. Staff was kind and sincere, we had a great time, felt perfectly comfortable and relaxed. If you play piano bring your songbook, there is one in the lobby that you are encouraged to goof on, fun stuff.

During our two-night stay at this historic hotel, my wife and I discovered a truly cozy, peaceful, and inviting atmosphere. The hotel exudes a nostalgic charm, making it feel like a journey back in time. Tamara, the receptionist, was exceptionally helpful, sharing a brief history of the hotel and attending to our needs throughout our stay. I highly recommend a few nights here to immerse yourself in the grandeur and mystery of the place.

While the room we originally booked had a heating issue, Tamara made our transition into another room so easy. She was so helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is such a beautiful hotel, unfortunately located in what appears to be a sundown town. It is very clean and the decor is SO charming. Thankfully the staff at the Jackson were kind and welcoming, especially Tamara. The dining hall/bar was closed very early, and breakfast was 6-9am, so we didn't get to try it.

Great location for downtown Jackson. Clean and updated rooms, comfy bed. You can walk to everything. Not cooky cuter type place, lots of history.

So many good things about this place. 1852 was when it was first built. They remodeled very well but leaving a historic vibe. Next to the desk is a collection of old papers that was found during remodeling stuck on wall. As a old place some rooms are small but they are very comfortable. This was last stop on a 9 day trek and this room had the best shower. The hotel is at end of main street so one could walk to all the shops and saloons. They also have a bar downstairs. The historic items in hotel will amaze you along with the complimentary breakfast. I usually try to put something that can improve on but have no negatives about this place. Looking forward to going again

I absolutely loved my time there. It's full of so much history and ghost stories. The rooms are up to date but the cute furniture is old. Its right downtown and there is a parking garage next to it. I felt safe with lots of cameras and professional staff. Great wifi. I travel with a service dog and finding a grassy area was hard. I definitely recommend it and will be returning.

We enjoyed a lovely night in Jackson, the hotel was charming and so was Jackson itself, with lots of cool buildings to look at and a couple of nice bars and restaurants. We visited many of the Gold Country towns and this was one of our favourites, it was authentic, quiet, small and interesting. The staff at the hotel were so warm and friendly and that, to me is so important. The decor is very original and we spent a while just viewing all the photos and paintings around the lobby and the hallways. It was clean and with good facilities, the breakfast was simple and we were satisfied, although less plastic waste and packaging and more plant based options would always be appreciated. We would certainly stay again and recommend it 100%. Also the ghost story book in the lobby was entertaining, although see or hear any ghosts ourselves!

This hotel is our new favorite and we will be coming every year for the mountain Men Days of 49, a great festivity and parade. We stayed in a king room toward the back and had a beautiful view of the creek and outdoor lounge. Our friends had rooms on the balcony which were smaller, but the view of main Street was awesome! We visited the black book in the lobby to read ghost stories as it is a haunted hotel, but we didn't see or hear anything. Holly was especially helpful, and our group of performing cowboys was very happy and the breakfast was awesome! We'll be back again next year, part of the Black Flag Gang, a gunfight show on Main street. Loved it!! 😍❤

I Love this place! The folks who work here are sweethearts, very personable and helpful! I love visiting the National whenever I'm in Jackson, it's a very cool old building with all the modern things that make a stay peaceful and enjoyable. People have had paranormal experiences here, but alas, I have only had the best sleep of my life here! Thank you so much to Holly for being an amazing host- your heart shines so bright! The area is very walkable, with coffee, food, and the Kennedy Tailings Wheels right down the way, as well as a great bookstore, post office, thrift shops, and dining. See you next time I'm in Jackson!

Great place to stay just for the history. Cool old building dripping with gold rush era appointments. Our room was really nice. The heated 🚻 bathroom floor was a nice plus. Decent breakfast included. Definitely worth a stop.

This hotel has historic charm with modern amenities. We stayed in a King suite. It has a nice jacuzzi tub and heated tile floors in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast is included with the stay. It isn't anything super fancy, but was nice if you don't want to go out to a restaurant. I'm so glad we chose to stay here for the weekend. I will definitely keep this on my list of places to come for a relaxing getaway.

We had to stay in the area for my hubands business but made it a little getaway too. We brought along our 2 kids. We booked a queen bedroom suite. It had a daybed w/a trundle for the kids (teen n young adult) it was very spacious with a sitting area and fireplace. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious featuring a jacuzzi/whirlpool like tub (us girls Loved it!).
The receptionist/bar manager, Amar, went above and beyond in welcoming us. She made the checking-in process quick and easy. Also, she is very knowledgeable about the Hotel and its rich history (super fascinating!) and even gave us a little tour of the property. She pointed out the original architecture and furnishings (I just love that kind of stuff!) and accommodated us w/ a mini-fridge for our insulin. She was really sweet and friendly. In fact, all the staff we encountered was pleasant. The breakfast was the icing on the cake.
We will definitely be coming back and staying there. Maybe in the John Wayne room that he actually use to stay in when we was filming in the area
