I love the hardware selection, I get all my specialty screws and bolts here. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. This specific store has a very cool model train track overhead that travels around the store, it's nostalgic and fun. They always seem to be having great promotions and sales on brand name tools. This is the flagship of ace hardware stores right here in Walnut Creek. It’s a huge store that has everything. If you’re looking for a Traeger, they must have the largest selection around. It also have all the other barbecue supplies that you would be looking for. They have a whole separate building just for barbecue to make matters even more fun they have a train that goes around the top of the store. It’s very fun your kids will love it. I recommend visiting the store for all your needs.

The staff here is super friendly and very helpful. Gary is A M A Z I N G. He took the time to help me find exactly what I needed without the stress of feeling misunderstood. And thank you Spencer for your help at the register.

Good parking, helpful, and lots of fun stuff. One of my hidden go-to places for gifts. They even have a outdoor garden center, barbecue and patio sections that are well stocked.

Clean store, many helpful employees. Yes it is the Ace with the train that runs over head. Grandson loved this. I like Ace, It has many unique items from regular hardware to beautiful gifts, special candies, great gadgets for kitchen, lodge cast iron ware and canning supplies.
The garden outback is fun to look through,special plants, succulents, ferns, nice pot collections. The staff go out of their way to help you; they seem to like each other and work well together making this a happy work place. Where else can you get a special lightbulbs and a home made frozen pie, first class service?

This place is more than an Ace Hardware. It is an indispensable resource. Very respectable amount of materials for any building trade. The plumbing & electrical departments are very well stocked & staffed with pretty damn knowledgeable old grey haired guys. For building materials, this outfit has most things you will need on most days. I always enjoy stopping by, the staff is a lot of fun.

Super helpful. I felt like I was the only person in the store. Someone helped us find everything on our list. Employees are knowledgeable, 100s of nuts and bolts and they knew every kind of we need. Seems smaller than it is. Huge garden section, separate BBQ area, and lumber. Some items may be a few cents more expensive but you save time and that's way with it.

Called ahead to make sure an item was in stock, and the person that answered was incredibly helpful and even went to look at the item on the shelf to answer some questions I had about it. While I was there, the woman running the paint counter was also super helpful and saved me from making some mistakes in paint texture. Parking is a tad sparse, but it’s only an issue on weekend afternoons.

Awesome. Mr Stephan Olvera dedicated his entire day almost in helping me put together my scooter. He was helping others as well during the time he was one on one helping me with parts and accessories. He is defiantly the best Person I've came across at any hardware store I have ever been in my entire life. I can't not wait to come back when I need stuff. I told Mr. Stephan that he is an icon here at the Walnut Creek Ace store and more over a hero to me. My debt is beyond measure but I'm bribing him my homemade lunch I made! I hope he enjoys it . As I am with my scooter! Thanks again you rock as you know it! Come here for tools and great help with it !

What a nice find! They really have everything in there and it's huge inside. All the plants in the garden looked healthy, shelves well stocked. And the staff was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. This is my new favorite hardware store!
