Big Dave's Bikes

Great crew, great service. I bought a stupid expensive mountain bike at SoSo cycles and asked them to swap the brake cables like a motorcycle (front on the right) and they wanted $240 even though I just spent $5,500 on a bike. Lame. Doesn't build much faith in my opinion.
Spoke with Eddie who did the swap for a far more reasonable $95 and without me asking, tuned up the suspension for my weight.

They've got my business from here on out.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had a great experience here. Dave was great as well as the salesperson I worked with. Knowledgeable and not pushy. Was willing to honor their Black Friday deal after the fact! Great value. I drove an hour to come here because Dave gave me the best deal even though I had a local shop 10 minutes from my house.

so originally I was planning on going to Trek Alamo. But I yelped bikes shops near me and this one had a lot of reviews and pretty much a 5 star rating. So I have this place the first shot. Man... I'm so glad I came here. The workers are so nice. The best part is that they are so knowledgeable about their products. I also love that I didn't get a "pushy buy me" vibe from them at all. They do make recommendations and I did end up getting a kick stand for my bike and they attached it! I purchased a Marlin 5. It was on sale too! I recommend coming here first. Then anywhere else second if you even need to.

They are very kind! They are very attentive about their customers need. They even help find a shrim for my light in the bike !

The guys that worked there were really nice, when I was going to get a new bike they told me all the information that I needed to know. They were also very helpful with same day modifications. Great place.

They have a great selection of bikes at reasonable prices, plus knowledgeable and friendly staff. We got my daughters' bikes here. We'll be back next time we need a bike upgrade!

Super knowledgeable staff! Very happy with their diagnosis of my bike. My go to spot for any of my bike needs. Been to other places where my bike problems have been misdiagnosed needed an expensive replacement for a whole bike part. Whole staff at Dave’s were able to fine tubely and accurate identify the issue and not over charge me. Also, people who work there are really nice and understanding.

LOVE this place. 1. The helmet I bought was $20 cheaper here than REI. 2. Bought a kickstand that didn't fit my kid's oversized tires; they modded it at no extra charge. Great store, awesome crew.

So cool. Very welcoming, open and professional team. Best bike shop experience since coming to California four years ago (originally from Denmark, one of the bike capitals of the world). And I was btw first time in the shops for a very simple ($29) repair.

Will definitely come back, not only tor service but also for next bike purchase.

Very efficient. Fixed my minor tune up the same day I brought my bike in. Good quality, good price. Explained what needed adjustment.

I walked in expecting a major tune-up and was informed all I needed was to upgrade my tire seal and straight out the rear wheel. Jamie was awesomely informative with the best customer service. I'd give them 10 stars if it was possible!

Went in for a busted tire. I was in and out in 10’min. Folks here are super nice. Will for sure come back

Went in with my 13 year old son to request a flat tire repair and he was greeted with kindness and respect. The tire was fixed within a half hour and my son was impressed with the high level of professionalism. Thank you. He had a bad day before visiting your great team and changed his mood for the better.

Every experience at Dave's has been a positive one! They are super friendly and honestly ...go above and beyond what almost any other bike shop in the area does. I always feel like I'm 'bothering' most of the techs at other stores... or I'm not cool enough. Everyone is cool enough at Dave's! Some of the BEST tune-up work I've ever seen and they uncovered a huge mistake that another large retailer in Walnut Creek made and if left unchecked just a bit longer, I'm sure I would have done some serious damage to the bike. This is the place I go to first for any question, service or upgrade ask.

I had been holding off on purchasing a new bike until just recently. I went to big Dave’s bikes with my son. They happened to be having a year end sale on all bikes. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and didn’t try to sell me the most expensive bike in the shop. I purchased a Trek bike and couldn’t be happier. As for my son he was there to have his bike wheel rebuilt. They quoted him a fair price and the work was done much faster than expected. We’re so lucky to have such a great bike shop here in town. I highly recommend them if you’re in need of a bike, repairs or biking gear.

The staff was very friendly, and provided details when I asked them questions. During the service of my bike's tune-up, they called me to let me know that they needed to change the tires as the interior was damaged. They also provided me with options and cost for the new tires. Not many bike shops will inform the customer of issues with the bike, and I believe this is great customer service.

I will definitely continue doing business with Big Dave's Bikes as I am very satisfied with my first experience there.
