Sunshine Playschool

Our son attended Sunshine for 2 years. We opted to keep him there for his Kindergarten year because we loved it so much. Sunshine is a lovely, caring, inclusive, messy play-filled, all around wonderful school and I feel blessed that my son was able to experience all this school has to offer for as long as he did.

They have exceptional teacher retention and the teachers truly care about the students. They are gentle and firm, loving and tender, just every single characteristic you would hope for in a group of people you leave your child with each day. I love the amount of outdoor play that is available to the children, and the space they have is amazing. They have bunnies and a tortoise, a mud yard and a bike yard, a playground and gymnastics lessons... as well we sensory play, art, and child-led reading and writing. There is structure balanced with choice, and I think that is such an important part of building confident children who look forward to learning.

I have been and will continue to recommend this school to everyone I know in the area. I just love the atmosphere and the way they have gently guided my now 5.5 year old to blossom into an empathetic and loving boy through their example and the experiences they offer.

We love Sunshine! Our son actually asks to "go to school" when he is not there. The teachers are all amazing, kind, and loving people. You can tell they truly care and adore all the kids. There's also a lot of art, story time, reading and writing for the older kids, creative play, and tons of out door play. The kids get dirty, play in mud, splash in puddles, race on little bikes and cars.... they love it! We are so lucky to have found such an awesome place for our little to hang out while mom and dad hustle. Thank you Sunshine team! We love you!

My son is in his second year at Sunshine and he absolutely loves it. When I was touring preschools before finding sunshine, the main things I was looking for were safety, small ratios, lots of time outdoors, play based, and a place that I thought my son would love to be. Sunshine is all of that and more! It is very obvious that every teacher there loves their job and loves the kids. I love that they share pictures of the kids throughout the day, and send regular emails about the things the kids are doing and learning. It is wonderful to have open and honest communication with everyone. Cannot recommend Sunshine enough!

As a local educator, I’m always looking for local, high-quality preschools, and my son won the lottery when he started attending Sunshine. After a few rough starts at some local preschools, one of which he lasted exactly one day, we landed at Sunshine. I was anxious given our previous experiences, but my son is thriving. He has made friends, he plays outside, he comes home with stories about the bunnies, he digs in the dirt, he is learning concepts in a child centered, play based environment. The teachers are truly invested in the students here. He is loved, nurtured and allowed to be himself; for this I am truly grateful.

The teachers are so caring and have cultivated a strong sense of curiosity and compassion in my son. He comes home excited to share what he’s learned, and it’s been amazing watching him grow since he started attending. I also love how they recognize, celebrate and support the individuality of each of the children. Cannot recommend Sunshine play school enough!

My family all feel so fortunate that we have stumbled upon this wonderful school. We have zero complaints. Our daughter is happy, nurtured, and loved every day. The teachers all strive to meet each child where they are and promote acceptance. Her friendship skills, knowledge of acceptance and kindness, and overall curiosity increase weekly. She runs around as fast as she can yelling "Look I'm Jesse Owens", regularly practices gymnastics that she learns on Wednesdays at school, and goes to sleep at night happily talking about her day. We are excited for the next two years of growth and fun at Sunshine Playschool! We highly recommend.

A warm, caring environment with the most wonderful teachers. I love that they let the children self direct much of their learning and activities, and that they prioritize learning through play. Both my children are their happiest selves at this school!

Both my children attend Sunshine and we could not be more pleased with the care. The owners and teachers are kind, communicative, and creative with our children. I could not imagine a better place to send our children
