Excellent Bay Area specialty coffee with vegan food menu and enjoyable for anyone! The coffee menu had a handful of creative and tasteful signature drinks along with the classics. While in line I heard someone ask if the drinks were sweet and they kindly said “not St4rbux sweet” which is a green flag for sure to anyone who really knows coffee. They also offered that customer to make their drink less sweet if they were worried. I had my go-to iced americano to see how good their espresso shots taste since I was sure they were doing something right with so many other good reviews and my experience up to that point. The good vibes were there before I even ordered and that coffee hit too! The Avocado toast is on the fluffiest freshest bread with some sprinkled hemp seeds and chili flakes. I also opted for some chili oil and loved it! Super friendly service and a wait time that was indicative of the care they put into each order without having to wait too long! I wish I lived around here cause it seems like THE local community coffee spot I would be frequenting.

I stopped in at Rooted for a quick breakfast and coffee with a friend. Esa was amazing and patiently explained the ingredients and prep to ensure no gluten cross contamination for celiac restrictions. The avocado toast was amazing and it was a pleasant morning on the patio.

I love the way they make their coffee taste really good, I like their breakfast menu too. Definitely good for checking this place!

What can I say other than WOW? I tried the yogi waffle and the lemon blueberry waffle. Both were spectacular but the lemon blueberry was my favorite. Best vegan waffles in the east bay. Also tried the summer's dream toast (avocado toast with tomatoes and cucumber) and avacado dream toast. The summer's dream toast was delicious. Everything tastes so fresh, I cant believe I hadn't tried ROOTED sooner. There was a bit of a wait because it's a popular place, but there was a great outdoor dining area to sit and relax.

I love this place! 100% vegan coffee shop?! Yes please! I'm lactose intolerant, so for me to go to a place like this and be able to eat and drink anything on the menu is awesome! Plus, I love small businesses. I ordered a mocha and a classic waffle. It was so amazing with fresh fruit on top! The coffee is great too! Yum! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I love the vegan food, coffee, and the vibes. Easy ordering for pick ups, or sit in the outdoor space (chilly in the rain but great most of the year). Plenty of parking. I come and work on my computer there as well, they have wifi (ask inside). I recommend them to all .y friends who enjoy vegan food.

Great people make great coffee and delicious food. The team at Rooted does a great job of making you feel welcome and appreciated. Their iced latte w almond milk and nitro cold brew are awesome. The avocado dream is fantastic - gotta try it!

Very cozy place with limited outdoor seating but great food and coffee. I tried one of the avocado toasts and it was absolutely delicious!!! The iced coffee was also delicious and I will be back to try the pastries. Totally recommend it! 👌🏼

It is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the area. I just got the avocado and tumeric toasts, they are delicious and have a unique flavor. Highly recommend it 👌

Amazing little coffee shop gem set in a beautiful, quaint neighborhood in Pleasant Hill. Delicious coffee and quick, healthy breakfast options, many gluten-free offerings, very friendly (and stylish) staff, and chill music! What’s not to love? I’m obsessed with their GF waffles with nut butters and fruit topped on them.

I’d complain about the lack of indoor seating but the weather in the area is often so nice it’s no problem to sit outside if you can find a place.

The iced vanilla latte with oat milk and vegan donut was really good! I'm sure the food and other drinks here are also lovely :)

My order was ready exactly when they projected to be. I was picking up an Avocado toast with the smashed chickpeas salad on top. I’ve had their toast a number of times but this was my first try with this version. Gotta say it’s my new favorite! The red pepper flakes add a perfect little kick. The dish is filling and all my coworkers were asking where I got it from! I also picked up a maple doughnut; one of the best I’ve ever had.. and I have high doughnut standard.

My fav coffee spot in this area period! The waffles are perfect and all of the coffee drinks are well crafted, nothing overly sweet!

What a cute little coffee nook!
Came here today for a meetup. I got the Strawberry Lemonade and split a maple donut with my friend. The employees were super kind, plenty of seating, they really made the most of their area and turned the wall into a seating area and the tree stumps in the parking lot into tables. There were also regular tables. Super cute and I would definitely come back.

I am a long time rooted tribe member out of pleasant hill but this was my first time at the walnut creek location. It was clean, friendly, ascetically pleasing and had a great crowd. Everything I've come to expect from Rooted my only complaint is they didn't have more hats I could buy!

Best place to satiate your coffee, donut and breakfast needs- along with yummy lunch options too! Thankful to have this place open, service is always spectacular and the music is enjoyable in accompaniment with the atomsphere/vibe.
