I worked with this agency a lot when I was a service coordinator in Berkeley. They provide a timely service and was very good with communication. The staff was always professional friendly and always willing to help even if they couldn’t do it themselves they always had a referral for me.

I used this services back in 2019 and didn’t get a chance to do a review. I was very appreciative and happy when I met this lady named Samantha Weinstein in Alameda county court house downtown Oakland. I was on the calendar in court for a mistake that occurred on my background from the DOJ stating that I was a convicted felon. Not only did the DA insult me about that potential case, but I had a full on meltdown trying to explain to her (DA) and the judge that this is affecting my livelihood because it’s inaccurate. In the midst of my distress, I heard a lady saying “I can help you, just give me a moment and I’ll meet you out front”. This lady ended up being Samantha Weinstein. Samantha was very empathetic with a very mild and calming tone that helped me to calm down enough to explain to her what my issue was. Samantha helped me start the process with working with EBCLC immediately! I would never forget her or Ms. Vinuta Naik. They were both sensitive and helpful to me at a time where I was completely lost, and my case was resolved when they reached out to DOJ to correct and update the mistakes. They are both angels sent from GOD to help the people. Thank you EBCLC for what you do for us.

EBCLC is an extremely valuable community resource and I'm extremely grateful for the professional and friendly services I received: accurate legal guidance, help with documentation, explanations re: consumer advocacy law, and personal support. The cost of private legal representation, alone is far above what many folks' can afford, yet we are entitled to benefit from our country's legal protection. How can the ordinary person avail himself of these vital services? If you can, contribute to this worthy essential organization!

The people here are very professional and wonderful advocates for anyone going through a bad situation with bad landlords or people that don't follow the laws! I'm so thankful for I have used them twice in my life and they will fight for your rights with you! I just won my case with them last month and am so happy now with my family!!!!!! 👪😄😁

This organization is providing valuable community service to people who can't afford attorneys. They do not provide counseling in all areas of the law though. You should call and check if they service the area of law you're interested in.
