King Valley Tea House

This is my go to spot for dim sum and Chinese food in town. We love the BBQ pork buns, salt and pepper fish, the roasted duck, and chow mein.

The restaurant is located in an old bank in downtown Pinole. The room is large with plenty of seating inside, and plenty of parking outside.

It can get loud when they are busy, and dim sum is always a full room.

This restaurant is excellent. The dimsum is on point, and the service is very good. A testament to the excellent food is that the restaurant is always full. I totally recommend you give it a try, worthwhile!

One of my favorite places for dim sum. The food is delicious, the tea is hot, and the staff are friendly. Check the church schedule across the street on weekends to avoid the rush. Parking can be challenging. We love coming back.

I'm addicted to Dim Sum. I crave Dim Sum once in a while, and KV is my go-to place for it. Everybody is also friendly and helpful especially when I'm asking about a particular Dim Sum I like. The food is cooked nicely. Fresh ingredients! Their Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce is one of my favorites. They have the crunchiest Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings, too. Yum! Big servings of their lunch combo plates, which makes it an affordable lunch meal. As I'm reviewing this, my stomach is grumbling for Dim Sum. HaHa! Go check them out.

Oh. My. God. The dim sum here is so delicious. The wife and I took a trip on Sunday to Pinole and visit King Valley Tea House.
The staff is real nice and accommodating and always willing to answer questions if you don’t know what you want. We had a variety of dim sum plates that would satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. My favorite dish was the chicken feet.
The menu is reasonable priced, we had about 10 dishes that included stuffed mushrooms, chicken feet, braised pork ribs, shrimp dumplings. Again, the chicken feet were DIVINE!

We were there on one of the busiest days on the year, NYD. Service was good, food awesome, we got in early before 12 and had no reservation! Lucky new years day for my wife and I. We have been mid-week without the crowds. A great place for Dim Sum! Try it out.

This place has great dim sum.
This place still has the carts so you can see the food paraded around. Other places have started requiring you to place orders.
The staff is very nice and accommodating. When we didn't see something on the carts, we were able to quickly get their attention and they brought it out.
They have a large parking lot that's almost always full because they share it with other places, but it won't be too long before you find a spot on the street.

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The gentleman who always greets us makes us feel like we’re family. The food is always prompt and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. And when we leave here always says “see you next time” which makes us want to come back.

Dim sum restaurant. Food is great. But beware before you know it you've eaten all their food. Delicious choices. Never had Peking duck before, I absolutely loved it. Can't wait to go back there

Came for lunch on a Thursday. It was hands down the best dim sum I've ever had. Fresh, delicious, amazing. The large fried shrimp balls stole the show with a light level of crispness and a slightly sweet filling. My only complaint is that the portions were so perfect that I couldn't try more of the menu at once. Oh well, just gotta come back for more!

Food was great and so was company. It was just a little bit colder than is enjoyable in the dining area. Service was great too!

I ordered for pick-up. It took 20 mins. Dishes I have tried:
- spare ribs in black bean sauce were great but the portion is a bit small
- eggplants with minced shrimp were wonderful
- stuffed mushroom was pretty good
- bbq pork rice rolls, mango pudding and chicken feet were just ok

Ordered food through a delivery service yesterday night. Very good portion sizes. I ordered the Dried Scallop with Egg White Fried Rice, the Stir Fry Beef Cube w/ Honey Sauce, and the Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs. I specifically requested no black pepper for the Stir Fry Beef Cube dish due to my allergy. I can tolerate a little black pepper, but cracked black pepper can be especially irritating to my throat and cause it to feel like it’s constricted. The restaurant followed my special request, which is great. (Note: It was my first time ordering that dish. I don’t know if it is usually made with black pepper, since it’s not in the name of the dish or in the item description. I just wanted to be on the safe side.) King Valley’s Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs were beautiful. Crispy, but not greasy. Flavorful, but not overly hot/spicy. For those Mikey Chens out there who like it really hot and spicy, I’m sure you can ask them to kick it up even more. The Dried Scallop with Egg White Fried Rice was also good. It went well with the other items I ordered. It would be a good dish to have for breakfast, in case you have a craving for rice in the morning. 😁

The food simply amazing very authentic! Going to visit again in August, the next time I go through the town.

I really liked the food here. It wea vey delicious. I also liked good the attitude of the emplyees. Generally you font find that in places like that. Usually its careless doing theor own thing people. This staff was very nice and cheerful.
I would defenitely reccomend this place for general food, nothing too special though. But its OK. I mean what do you realisticly expect from a place like this? Some peoples reviews just simply amaze me with peoples high standarts. Where this world is goong to...

Dinner & lunch here are always a delight! This is the Bay Area's hidden gem. If you want legit dim sum, head right on over to King Valley Tea House. I seriously can't get enough of EVERYTHING!

This must be Pinole hidden gem because I lived here my whole life and never saw this place. Today was my first time trying it after looking for a new Chinese restaurant on google maps.

This place is $$$ pricey I won’t lie. I was a big shocked when I saw my check after eating a few plates from their little carts. They walk around offering you food. It was very authentic and a beautiful restaurant but if you’re like me not keeping track of how much food you grab it can stack up quickly.

If you asked me if it’s worth it though I would say yes. Portions are good, lots of flavor and even the tea still had tea leaves inside (really good) I would Definitely recommend it especially their dumplings.

Gone there for years, it's consistently amazing and much better than other dim sum places we've tried. Even though we moved and other places are closer, we keep coming back to king valley
