was stuck at home with Covid and feeling sorry for myself. i decided to treat myself to grocery delivery from Berkeley Bowl. Really wanted some good cake. They had all kinds of fancy cakes and then they had all these different flavors from Cassandra's. . . i got a couple fancy cakes and 2 different pieces of Cassandra's. . strawberries & cream and german chocolate. Let me tell you. . .Cassandra's makes REALLY good cake. moist. delicious. at first glance i was a little disappointed because i like a lot of frosting but both cakes were absolutely perfect and delicious! still testing positive after 10 days i decided to treat myself again but this time ordered every flavor Berkeley Bowl carries. . .welp they called me back and told me they only had one flavor available - sweet potato. i was so disappointed but i said just send me the one piece. . . and it was a grudge order tbh because i was not sure i would even like it. .. BAYBEE . . that cake is FIRE. lightly spiced, sweet, moist.

if anyone from Cassandra's sees this. . THANK YOU - your cakes fill my heart with joy! also, what days do you deliver to Berkeley Bowl??? I will be there to get me some of that delicious cake!! ❤❤

Bought 3 dozen cupcakes for my husband's birthday about 5-6 years ago, everyone LOVED the cupcakes. They were (what I consider adult size) cupcakes. Beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. Have not been disappointed whether ordering for a party or just a quick sweet treat.😉

Got both me and my son's customized birthday cakes done by her and she did an amazing job. Cakes were beautiful and they were so delicious! Definitely recommend her if you're looking for a place to get customized cakes done!

My partner got me a cake from here and it is absolutely delicious! Super moist cake with a light frosting that doesn’t have that weird aftertaste some frostings have. If you are someone who LOVES a lot of frosting this is the place for you. 10/10 will most likely buy again. He was able to order the cake with a very fast turnaround as well, less than an hour!

I picked up the sweet potato cake from Berkeley Bowl! It was super moist and delicious. I met one of the owners (I think) who was dropping off the cakes and he was very kind. It was definitely a sweet treat that I will get again!

I stopped at 7/11 to get a water and there was cakes there that were labeled Cassandra's Wedding Cakes, it was a Pineapple Coconut one and omg.. it was the most most and flavorful cake I had ever had and now I'm obsessed. I need to visit the bakery because that cake was bomb af!!!! 5 stars!!!!

The cakes here are delicious! I picked up a too good to go bag of "cake trimmings" and got to try their carrot cake, karamel, red velvet and sweet potato cakes. Each one was so moist and tasty, the frosting was not too sweet. Definitely recommend!

This was the very best strawberry shortcake I have ever had by far. The cake was moist and delicious with fresh strawberries and a light whipped topping that’s not overly sweet. I will be checking out other treats here.

Best home made pies and cakes I've ever tasted in my whole life! Definitely need to place an order and/or check this place out. They have their cakes in various markets and stores such as 7 Eleven, my fave is the Pistachio Cake 😋

I have some of your sweet potato pie the 4 inch pie at Louisiana Fish store. It was delicious light not heavy. Wish you had it in a family style pie. Thank you for the experience.

My local grocer Central Foods carries slices of these cakes. Never noticed the cakes before but the cake guy was there stocking them fresh, so I grabbed a slice. I'm not even a huge cake person, but this sweet potato cake was just amazing! No photo 'cause I ate it all already.

Just had a wonderful birthday cake for my husband from Cassandra's. We got a printed picture cake with delicious chocolate buttercream frosting on a double layer yellow cake. Super duper yummy --- definitely what dreams are made of! <3

I went into this place in hope of finding a premade birthday cake since I needed one that same day, but what I found was way better. The owners here are soooooo friendly they had a cake ready for me in 40 minutes!!! Yes 40 minutes! Very detailed very delicious chocolate marble cake. The cake was car themed for my little guys birthday and it turned out great! They even added two little candles. Super affordable and thoughtful!

I had the red velvet cake when IT says velvet it's all of that and more and the creamy icing just right. Haven't had cake this good in years make you want to slap yo momma.. I will be making you my cake lady from here on out. I had given up on getting a good piece of cake but I found it in Cassandra's cake try it out PLEASE YOU WONT REGRET IT... THANK YOU

Cassandra's Wedding Cakes & Beyond is a mom-and-pop bakery 23rd Street in Richmond, California. When I reference mom-and-pop, this is exactly what it is.

I had the pleasure of meeting Cassandra and her husband, Harold Simmons, who are incredibly kind, polite, personable, and friendly human beings. When I asked Cassandra about her German chocolate cake, she said it was available. Now, I told her, I grew up in the Black church, and I am a pastor's son. Therefore, I know my German chocolate cake. However, I tried the cake, and it was authentic. I commanded them on this, and they were extremely grateful for my assurance.

The bakery is hard to notice. However, it is directly across the street from the McDonald's on the corner of (ironically) McDonald and 23rd, and, if you get a chance, stop by, say hello, and treat yourself to the bakery's culinary delights

It was not at all good that a bakery near Children's Hospital in north Oakland could not provide me with a fresh strawberry cake, after several attempts to order one for a friend's birthday. I discovered Cassandra's Wedding Cakes online. What a God-send to the community! Cassandra and her husband Harold are very friendly and professionally accommodating. And yeah! The fresh strawberry cake was moist and delicious.
