You are definitely going to have a great experience at Slicks. Our family has come here for over 20 years. You will get great service and feel welcomed here. If you have to wait for your turn there is some great memorabilia to look at while you're there. We highly recommend Slicks to all families/ all ages.

Brett has been my regular Barber for around 10 years now (give or take), I occasionally change my hair style and he always knocks it out of the park. There's a lot cool knickknacks and memorabilia all over the shop that give that old school Barbershop feeling, while still maintaining a clean, blue collar, respectful family friendly environment.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention some tasteful renovations have been done recently. A totally chill vibe while I'm getting a trim.

I’ve never been to Slicks, but I lived there for the 9 years of my life. My family moved after selling their property to ( I want to say the Davenports) the current owners. I remember we were given an organ as part of their down payment. We loved that organ, we loved it a lot. I love what you guys have done with it. I have met a few people that say they have been to Slick’s. I can never resist telling them I grew up in that very house. I have so many good memories in that home. We used to watch fireworks from the patio in back. My step dad used to drive his race car down the ally every Saturday night to the fair grounds. Hard wood floors, the built in wood china hutch, my moms garden, walking to school with out supervision, the closeness of the community. I loved summer break, there was always something for us kids to do at the city park at the end of 10th street. Good times. I remember around Christmas time one year. My youngest brother opened a gift for my mom, it was a new lighter. He took that lighter and accidentally started my sisters bed on fire and burned down the front of our house. It was rebuilt and that’s when the odd shaped seating window was built. Same brother, turned on the bathroom sink in the middle of the night flooding the entire house ruining all the wood flooring. It was all warped. My mom was not too happy about that little stunt.

I just really wanted to say I love what you have done with our old house. It’s beautiful!!!

I’ve attached a few photos that I found of our old home. There were 6 kids and 2 adults, a dog named Duke and a cat named Fire Cracker. 5 of us kids shared the room closest to the back yard, my older sister got the room in the front. It was pretty crowded most of the time. My bed was under the window closest to the kitchen. I loved that house. I remember being very sad when moved to Concord.

After reading the reviews, I knew this was the place I wanted to get my haircut. I travel a lot and was staying in Oakland. Believe me, the drive was well worth it! Slick took great care of me and gave me one of the best flat tops I've ever had. Hat's off to you and your crew Slick, you guys are the real deal. Thank you so much for the great service and awesome experience!

It is a super nice place, with a lot of good vibes and they do an excellent job.

Walked in earlier today for the first time as a last resort expecting a basic haircut but Slick fixed my hairline, trimmed my eyebrows, lined up my beard, lined me up with a straight razor, told me jokes, and educated me on hair for the low price of $14 and within about 30 minutes. His haircuts are well worth $25. Old school and aged but he's got swift, steady hands. Like a surgeon for hair. Definitely going to come back and I'm leaving a tip every time. I highly recommend Slick's!

Always great service from friendly barbers. The best part is the straight razor finish. They've bumped up their rates a little, but they're still lower than any other place. You get professional barber service for less than you would pay at any cookie cutter shop that ends in - Cuts or- Clips.

Slick's has it all: history, experience, charisma! I got a good conversation, good laughs, and a GREAT freakin' haircut - and for the same (probably less!) than I would've paid at the franchise places. The man knows his old school cuts, and worked with pictures I showed him to make my haircut and my look unique. Guys, skip your next 5$ hair school disaster or the self-service buzz cut at home and GO SEE SLICK!

The people and atmosphere at Slicks are one of a kind. You are greeted with a warm smile and manners that are rare these days. All around there are toys and posters, there is a little bit of something for everyone who walks through those doors. The feeling is nostalgic as you look around and see the old toys and newer ones hanging from the walls and the ceiling. I can say without a doubt, getting your haircut at Slicks is like a slice of the past and present that makes you feel at home.

I have been bringing my two grandsons to Slick every time they come home from Europe. They live in Krakow, Poland...and Slicks is the place to go within a week of arriving on vacation! Slick is a fun guy and his other barbers are great as well! Slicks wife handles the counter and is a lovely person too! WE all LOVE Slicks!

Hot shave with a straight razor, old fashion powder and an amazing aftershave finish. You get that good old barbershop experience with as close to a perfect cut as humanly possible. Great conversation, comfortable feel, excellent service, and the price is definitly right.

Being new to the area I was calling around looking for a barber for husband and son...
Called many shops and Slicks was the only shop that would take walk ins... When we got there and walked into shop the lady greeted/checked us in... She was really nice as well 😃.... As we sat n waited for our turn she was conversating with us and one of the barbers came and introduced himself as Slick (owner) very nice and funny man... As I watched the 2 barbers and Slick interacting with customers and each other it was like it was a family instead of just work....
My son got Bret and husband got Albert I watched and it was like my son and husband were their long time customers made all of us feel right at home...
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING....

I've been coming here for a few years now, and I gotta say, there's no place like slicks. Even when I've moved out of Antioch, this is the only place I can trust to cut my hair better than my expectaions. Friendly group of guys and an old school feel to the environment.

Place is awesome! Lived here for years but never went in until yesterday. The guys are great, atmosphere is chill and decor is wonderful, found my forever barbershop

Slick & his wife Dorothy are the nicest people around. We have been faithful customers for over 18years. It is best to call ahead for an appt but Dorothy will do her best to fit you in to one of the barbers if you walk in to. Old Cars & 49ers enthusiasts will love the décor

Old school barber shop. The dude's got model cars hanging off the ceiling, cool decor and an awesome vibe that radiates through. Slick knows what's up. Trimmed the beard, tamed the eyebrows, fixed the hair and I thoroughly enjoyed shootin' the wind with him. 11/10. I found my new barber.
