Authentic Central American cuisine. Plenty of seating, great for large parties. Portions are huge if you're really hungry. Fresh hand made tortillas and all their juices (Aguas frescas) are made with the real stuff and not powders or mixes. I saw them peeling tamarind in front of me. I got the grilled Salvadoran sausage and steak plate. Comes with rice, salad, queso fresco, refried beans and fresh tortillas. I washed it down with freshly made tamarind juice, which was phenomenal. And had ripe plantain empanadas. Come check it out. You will be glad you did.

Good food, good service, it reminded me of El Salvador, the first Latin restaurant that I feel at home is very nice, the next time I go to that area I will return..

Their food is to die for. Fresh ingredients and excellent Salvadorian cuisine. Their sopa de pata is second to none. The portions would satisfy the hungriest of diners.

I'm so glad and thankful to the owners for making the effort to bring musical groups.

Food was delicious with many dishes. Good atmosphere, music a bit loud when trying to have conversation.

Always loved the pupusas here, ample filling and cooked just right to avoid drying out. Lots of seating, handicap seating right at the door for those in need. TVs generally show sports. Features live karaoke on weekends that is surprisingly popular. Waiters are attentive, but can be delayed with crowd size. Some may think decor is lacking, but I rather preferthe modest look as the appeal is the food and capacity for large groups.

The food here is delicious. It’s one of my family’s favorite places to get pupusas and other salvadorean food. The prices are decent and the serving sizes are generous. They also give you plenty of curtido and salsa so you don’t have to keep asking. The baby high chairs are very clean which is a plus. We had no issues having our daughter sit in one of them. Last Friday we went and decided to dine in for the first time since COVID started and we had a different experience. The food was still great however they had a live performer that was really loud. We couldn’t talk to each other because it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We had to basically yell so our server could understand what we wanted to order. Not only was this performer loud, she was vulgar. I don’t think I was prepared to hear so many curse words every other word during what was supposed to be a family dinner. It was 7pm! The friend of the lady singing came around asking for money to support the lady since she was recently unemployed. If that’s the case, they should’ve given her a job working at the restaurant. That would’ve been more productive and less painful for us. We would’ve taken our food to go like we usually do but we wanted to enjoy our pupusas while they were still hot and our baby was starting to get hangry. If you want to avoid the experience we had don’t go Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 7pm. Lesson learned!

Their Sopa De Pata is delicious! My favorite item on the menu. This is usually the only reason we come here. Pupusa’s are pretty good as well. We dined in a few weeks ago, and since everything we’ve ordered in the past was delicious I decided to order something different. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. It came out fast enough, but it was terrible. It was way too much vinegar in there and the shrimp tasted old. Soup is superb, but I’ll probably stick to what I know is good. Lesson learned.
UPDATE:
We went to eat there again, dine in, and atmosphere was great. It was a Saturday and they karaoke, and this time I knew not to order the shrimp cocktail. Instead I got the shrimp plate 😂 came with salad, veggies, frijoles, and tortilla. The shrimp cooked was 🔥🔥! Ordered a michelada as well, and it washed everything down very well. The waitress was very attentive as well and took good care of us.
Back to 5 stars you go!

I really enjoy eating other culture foods. I was introduce to the Bahia by some Salvadorean friends and let me tell you I can’t keep away! The pupusas are the best in town! Hands down! The drinks very authentic and so is their food, fresh delicious and the staff very friendly. This is my favorite restaurant. Luigi, is my favorite server, he always has a warm welcoming smile and great personality.

The best pupusas in Richmond, including the crazy pupusas. and all Salvadoran food is delicious. and the best the restaurant is open to eat inside or on the patio. each table being divided by vinyl for the safety of the clients. the atmosphere is very pleasant and the waitresses are very friendly.

This place was awesome I had a great time there food was one of the best salvadorian food I've had. The pupusas have good flavor and what I really like is they have a giant bottle of curtido on each table like in El Salvador. One thing I always nitpick on other salvadorian restaurants is they never offer enough curtido. I really like the vibes in this place cause everyone was enjoying there selves and so was I and that's why I gave them 5 stars for good food good service and great vibes

Great authentic Salvadoran food. The food taste good, and even that one waiter was available for dinner on Tuesday, he was very fast and organized.
I will definitely come back here.

Well my husband loved his mojarra and i ordered the mar y Tierra which is steak n shrimp. Boy was my plate different than I've ever tasted at salvadorean restaurants. The meat was tasting with mustard. The shrimp was not well cooked with butter and garlic. Tasted boiled I dunno I didn't like it. So i guess go for the mojarra if you like fish.

Delicious authentic Salvadorean food. Friendly service. I love their huge platter of huevos revueltos with casimiento, beans, crema, cheese, and hand made tortillas. It's a popular order for a reason. It's what brings me back regularly!
